David T Nemoto, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Nemoto in the past and found him to be quite competent. No hassle getting appointments. Took care of my issues. Today, phoned office to see about making an appointment upon the advice of my primary care physician to see a gastroenterologist. Person with whom I spoke said she had no idea if my Medicare is acceptable and would need to check on that as well as my Blue Cross supplemental as Nemoto's practice does not accept all forms. After getting all that checked out and getting comprehensive reports from my personal physician and lab, could see about an appointment. What's up with that? I need help immediately. So....guess I'll contact my medical group and ask for a referral to someplace less complicated and more knowledgeable.

I've been reading reviews and was as little skeptical about calling.
I called and spoke with the lady at the desk to schedule and it was the most disappointing and discouraging call with a Dr's office I've ever had. She pretty much talked me out of scheduling an appointment and said i needed all my medical records before they can help me. I was pretty blown away by her demeanor. I told her no problem I will find another specialists.

Unfortunately my mother's experience was horrible with Nemoto. He made her cry because he kept pressing about how long she has been in the US as well as making her aware that her English was horrible. My mother did not go to a specialist to be told that she needs to improve her English nor did she go to be told "well you didnt die from the vomiting from last week because you are here." My mother asked about leaving since he had not examined her. Once she mentioned she wanted her money back for the consult, Nemoto lightly touched my mom's epigastric area. I was not aware that an abdominal examination included just lightly palpating the epigastric area without even lifting up a shirt to check for anything irregular. A basic assessment would have included inspection (where the shirt should have been lifted to inspect for any visual abnormalities), ausculation, palpation & percussion. As a MD, he has no bedside manner and his staff is not any better. No one should be discriminated when seeking help to alleviate their constant GI issues.

Dr Nemoto, made the best out of a bad situation. He was kind and caring with great bed side manners. Best of all the follow through was quick and effective and not drawn out like most clinics.

My mother has been going to him for years now. He's a wonderful doctor and very caring to his patients. It's hard to find a doctor who would actually sit down and take the time to talk and discuss and listen to every issue you have. Without a doubt I recommend him!!! Thank you Dr Nemoto!

If I could not put a star rating.. I would.. Dr. Nemoto, although a very "nice" man, definitely discouraged me from continuing my health journey & research. I had genuine fears & concerns as well as questions & comments, all of which were disregarded because he felt I wasn't dealing with anything he could help me with or even anything gastrointestinal at all. Instead of being there for me as a gastrointestinal provider, he decided it would be best to become my therapist & psychiatrist which I felt very belittling and irritating. If anything, Dr. Nemoto brought even more stress by basically saying he'd order testing to appease me, which I clearly didn't go to. For those reasons I discontinued trying to solve my health issue because apparently it's me, myself & I, harming... me, myself & I. I was very invalidated & despite doing things in my everyday life to alleviate stress, which I've done a great job at doing, I am still dealing with the initial issues & worsening day by day. Thanks for nothing Nemoto.

Update: I'm glad I am not alone in having these thoughts! After reading many reviews, I'm glad I shared my story as well.

I just received the most excellent care from Dr. Nemoto and his staff. Dr. Nemoto's bedside manner was inquisitive, informative, nurturing and professional. Equally important, his staff were all very gracious and accommodating. The entire process.... paperwork, insurance coverage, scheduling and the procedure went smooth and flawless. Thank you Dr. Nemoto and staff for your professional services and accommodating spirit.

I do NOT recommend this doctor. He is incredibly condescending and rude. He made me feel like all my problems were in my head and that only a psychiatrist could help my supposed stomach pain. I didn't want to even see him initially because of his reviews but he came as a referral. I left his office in tears and obviously still in pain and discomfort. My primary doctor ordered a CT scan to try and help me get to the bottom of my pain. Lo and behold I had massive kidney stains that were causing referred pain in my abdomen. But according to Dr. Nemoto, I had conjured this Stones out of my head. EYE ROLL. Had the stones removed and I'm now pain free. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this guy.

NEVER SEE THIS DR. THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ABOUT HIS ARROGANCE ARE DEAD ON!!! Arrogant jerk! Whack job all the way!! I explained my symptoms and his best response was, "What do you expect me to do"?. Seriously? You're supposed to be BOARD CERTIFIED! Board Certified in being an SOB. He stated that I seem agitated. YES! I don't go see a Dr. when I'm feeling great!! Damn moron! After his smart-ass condescending mouth, I walked out and demanded my money back. No way would I pay $60 for a prick to waste 2 hours out of my day.

I completed my 50 year check up with a colonoscopy at Dr. Nemoto's practice. I cannot be more pleased. I experienced Dr. Nemoto to be informative, empathetic and extremely nice. Dr. Nemoto has an excellent staff who are extremely professional, attentive and very service oriented. For a procedure that was awkward for me, at best, Dr. Nemoto and his staff made the process comfortable, informative and easy. I highly recommend Dr. Nemoto!
