This was my second time taking an online defensive driving course through the Improv online/Geico website via my phone.
The process was simple after accessing the correct website as I mistakenly purchased the general defensive driving course without selecting the specific course for Geico insurance carriers. The assistance I received via the chat feature was excellent! Kath provided exceptional customer service and provided the correct link for me to access the proper site. Once I signed in I had no problem taking the course and answering all of the questions after the multiple reading passages. I also appreciate the videos which are entertaining and give the feel of sitting in a virtual classroom.
Lastly, I greatly appreciate how quickly the certificate of completion is provided electronically, and that the my information is sent directly to the DMV.

The interface is so messed up that it locked me out of my own course. If I tried to put in test answers, it kept timing out, took me on average 10-20 minutes to submit a 3-4 question test to get acknowledged as completed.
I kept putting in the same verification information every module but the website started going "Oops something went wrong" every time I did, and then recording it as a failed attempt until I was completely locked out.

I was told on the 12th of march that I would receive my certificate on the 27th of march and still have not received my certificate it has been a month already they haven't sent my first certificate or my second certificate do not trust this site and on top of it it won't let me have access to log into my account to check on my completed course I wish I can give 0 star!!

Absolute garbage interface. A course that's supposed to take 6 hours has run me 10+ because it's constantly glitching out and needing to be refreshed and restarted. I had to watch some videos and retake quizzes 3 times. And it makes you enter one of 8 different passwords every time you refresh. By the time i got frustrated enough to demand a refund I was so tantalizingly close to the end that I didn't have it in me to start from scratch with a competitor's product. There's only so many times I can hear the word "hydroplaning."

Trash interface. Got to the end of the course and all of a sudden facial recognition fails. My only option was to do the course again. More New York State garbage

If for any reason you type the security response wrong 3 times, they require you to start the course all over again. I spent over 4 hours doing this course, locked my account because I forgot the security question, and they reset the course. This is the most absurd rule. You would save your time just doing this course in person.

It's more than 6 hours taking the online class and if you fail 3 times it starts all over again. Waste of money. Time to change insurance

I truly hear your concern, and I can only imagine how frustrating this situation must be for you. The DMV has put these regulations in place to protect the integrity of the course completion ensuring student taking the understands the course, which is why we need to adhere to them so strictly as per DMV requirements. This is by far the worse defense driving school online. They rather you waste your time by making you start all over after you answered the security questions 3x. It's the more expensive courses online at 44.10 after taxes. Don't waste your money or time with this company. They really don't give a dam. I found another online schoolteacher offers the same for less money and time. How does 24.99 for one hour sound to you?

I had a horrible experience with this course. Their website shut down. My account would function after. They said it was fixed. It took multiple attempts to fix my account.
Well, they were very polite and apologized multiple times and stated they've been having trouble with their site. They said there was nothing they could do to give me the time back I lost. DMV doesn't allow it. I work and could only do a few hours here and there and being locked out the whole last week was a huge inconvenience. Although very polite apologizing that their site had these issues they refused to replace lost time or give another course in its place. I do not recommend this course to anyone. So many technical issues - I wasn't able to get through one chapter without the system crashing. Then, I wasn't able to log in at all and had to report issues repeatedly via phone and email before I got a new log-in. Finally got a new one, but it only worked for 2 days and then contacted again via phone, text and email and wasn't able to log in again.
