I have been going to Dentists on Main for over 15 years, and going to the Dentist has never been more pleasurable. The hygienists are extremely well-mannered, professional, and accommodating, and I have never had trouble getting an appointment to fit my schedule. The entire staff works very hard to ensure my experiences-- whether it was for a cleaning, sealants, or braces-- were customized entirely to my preferences. I recently asked one of the hygienists about information regarding teeth whitening, and she provided me with a plethora of resources and options, all the while walking me through each one. Thank you for making something as mundane as a dentist appointment so relaxing and enjoyable!
PS: My only warning would be that the appointments fill up quickly during peak times, so I suggest making them as far in advance as you can.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Cherie A.Oxford, MI051Aug 7, 2018
I was a patient of Dentists on Main, and Dr. Steven Reynolds since I was twelve years old. (I am now 50.) This office WAS superb, with excellent dentists, hygienists, and attentive staff. Unfortunately, Dr. Reynolds sold the practice to a corporation and things rapidly went downhill. One by one, the talented and gifted left. Fabulous hygienists like Kim and Kris, who had been there 20 years, left to practice their profession elsewhere. Dr. Dina Khoury and Dr. Peter Duz also left to join other practices (even though Yelp still includes their names, they have not been part of the practice for a while). These wonderful practitioners were replaced by money-grubbing, rude, unskilled dentists who have caused more problems than they were asked to fix. I have been told I needed fillings, crowns, and other work, where none was needed (as confirmed by second and third opinions). Dr. "Olga" and Dr. Wilson will take longer than you have ever had a dentist take to do any procedure, and it will still be half-a**. I have had new assistants drown my chest in water, rip my skin around my mouth, drop tools onto my teeth, spray the outside of my cheek because she was looking the other way while rinsing, not to mention the front desk who has gone from professional career admins to rude and unhelpful. It's your TEETH! Stay far away from DoM (now owned by the megachain "Refresh Dental")

I had a few very bad experiences there. After being a customer for 15 years the practice changed. I had a young dentist who had a problem with a cap he was doing for me. After my third visit he was mad that the cap that they charged me over 1,000 for did not fit. It was as if it was my fault. He ended up "adjusting" a bridge opposite the tooth in question and making a hole in it. Now it needs to be replaced. Stay clear, they are not what they used to me.

My whole family went there, Wife, two kids, braces everything. Dr. Reynolds retired/sold his interest I am not sure what but now it is held by a faceless group.
I had some work done that took several visits more than it should have because of a fitting issue. At the last visit the Dentist who had become irritated began to aggressively adjust the tooth opposite the tooth they were working on. He began to act as if I was not in the room and was generally rude. At that moment I decided I was done with Dentists on Main. They had changed and it was not a place I wanted to do business with anymore. Little did I know how much they really changed?
I walked away and got a new Dentist. The new Dentist did the other work I needed and pointed out there was one thing left, a bridge that had a hole in it? He was vague on how the hole got there. I asked to see a photo of it. When I saw the photo it was obvious it was the adjustment the prior dentist did to try and make his work fit. I asked my new Dentist if this was in fact the case and he agreed stating he would not do an adjustment like that for just that reason. It was obvious.
I contacted Dentists on main for compensation for the damage that was done. I provided a photo of the hole. Replacing the bridge was going to be thousands of dollars. They asked to fix the problem, I declined. I was done with them and their poor workmanship and bad manners. I asked to speak directly to a manager "from the home office" who could make a decision. They did not provide one. There was at least two weeks between emails where I would have to send a note to get them to respond. Finally they declined saying I did not allow them to inspect it. They never asked to inspect it they only asked to be allowed to "correct" it.
To me the bottom line is they treat people poorly. It started in the chair and continued when something went wrong. I won't be going back. I am not sure if I will start the small claims process or not. - Andrea L.Rochester Hills, MI4882Aug 7, 2018
Ever since Dr. Khoury left this practice, it has gone way downhill. I went in and got 3 cavities fixed, and I had one of the worst experiences I could have imagined. I had to be re-numbed multiple times, bed side manner was terrible (they were talking about office parties and drama in the office while he was drilling on my teeth), they forgot the nitrous gas for me when I specifically told them I have sever dental anxiety due to all the past work I have had, and it goes on. Since that appointment, which was over SIX MONTHS AGO I still cannot chew on the left side of my mouth because I am in so much pain. I went back in immediately after and told them how much pain I was in and they told me I needed root canals and crowns and they were ready to schedule the procedure for the next few days. This was such a red flag to me considering I am in my twenties and they wanted me to spend over $1,000 and not even give my cavities a chance to heal? I will never go back to this office I am now going to a different practice who worked with me and re-adjusted my bite and they are taking other steps and not even considering root canals or crowns. This other practice even told me that they would never allow a normal dentist to do root canals on back molars and that if necessary they would refer me to an oral surgeon because root canals in the back are so complex and challenging. Further they told me that getting all 3 cavities done at once was not the right thing to do because now my bite is going to be off and it can be extremely painful. I am still so upset about this (as I am sure you can tell). My entire family now refuses to go here, and I have told many friends to stay away from this place. Stay tuned if I can ever chew on the left side of my mouth again.
