I have been a long time patron of Dipieros of many years and it is by far one of my favorites farmers markets in the area. Like most, it is slightly higher priced but it's a nice atmosphere and occasionally one can find some products which are not same old grocery fare. I'd rather take the extra ten minutes to get here than to go to Demarest farms in Hillsdale. The employees at Demarest are rude and the owner Jason is simply an arrogant twit. He thinks he's Danny Wegman. Open your eyes, you run a friggin glorified farm stand!

Beware should you choose to patronize De Piero's during its final days. A cashier tried to rip us off by shorting our change by five bucks (she insisted we gave her a five when we know we gave her a ten). After demanding to speak with a manager, the manager counted the till and found it was over, so she begrudgingly gave us back our money. However, no apology was given by the manager or the cashier. And the cashier was basically a creep and total biz-natch (the middle aged Asian lady) .
Why should they care? They're losing their jobs soon, so customer service isn't a concern and shifty employees are wantonly ripping off customers without fear of being reprimanded or fired. The elderly lady is sweet, but as for the rest - good riddance.
Go one last time for a "hayride" (this year actually just a quick lap around a construction site), get a pumpkin, and see the animals (now down to a cow, donkey, sheep, and four goats that will be inside a bottle of Elmer's soon) if you must and still have any nostalgia, but if you're paying cash pay attention to the bills you give them and count your change! Nice way to spoil what few remaining nice memories I had of this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie K.Elmwood Park, NJ607816Oct 12, 2015
Sad to see this place going away. They are building a wegman's supermarket in its place. They have a large selection of produce, desserts, food, salads, soups & gourmet items. It's a great place to get lunch or fresh ingredients for dinner.

This place is an institution.
I have been coming here since I was a small child. They have fresh produce and a bakery department that is beyond compare.
The Yankee-named sandwiches are wonderful too- they are like something you would get in an old time deli in NYC.
I love this place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Allison P.Hasbrouck Heights, NJ833216Sep 29, 2014
De Piero's farm is great for all the freshest foods you could want! Went here for pumpkin picking and stopped in to grab some snacks. Their bakery is absolutely delish, you have to bring home some homemade pies! And the deli makes some intense sandwiches. It's a great place to stop in for some Fall treats and perfect pumpkins!

I have been going here for many years. It will hard not to get the special items they always had. My mom loved the trip there. She loved the bakery and would always get fresh sunflower bread. It was great tasting. I wish this wonderful family much happiness in their future and many thanks for a wonderful store. I will miss the plant department and those beautiful animals. Hope they will still be cared for.

As far as fresh produce goes with this place, they definitely have a great selection. Ever since my husband and I moved back to bergen county, we have been trying to find good values in produce and this place definitely has them. Last time we were there, they had delicious Swiss Chard that was not uber expensive- which made us happy. P.s.- sautee it lightly in a mild olive oil with freshly chopped garlic and it is delish! Their mushrooms are under supermarket price point and are delicious, and they have very fresh fruit. My husband is a huge cucumber fan and they have many varieties and they are fresh. This place is a nice, civilized market, and they have lots of great, fresh produce for reasonable prices- and it's in Bergen County-yay!

I love coming to this farm everything is fresh and the money you pay for a sandwich you get yourself a nice big Healthy Sandwich, definitely needed a 3rd stomach after eating one of these bad boys. I go here on a weekly for a hearty sandwich people should take notes because how they make a sandwich is the only way it should be made.

Great place for a Saturday or Sunday to grab coffee and pastry. I love this place to take out of town guests for the experience. It has a nursery to goats and chickens to gourmet food items.

I love De Piero's. My family has been going there for years - and we will only continue to do so. The produce is always fresh, the prices are always reasonable, and the store is well organized. Additionally, their pies, baked goods (especially the apple cider donut), etc. are always great!.
