My friend told me about this store when I told her that we were looking for new record stores to check out. I never knew about this place! I believe they are in the middle of moving locations so it was a bit in disarray. That didn't stop us from getting a good dig in the merchandise they had available. Many records available and categorized. They had video games, music of all kids, CDS, furniture, pokemon cards, magazines, cameras, and so much more. The employee at the store was knowledgeable and nice. If you spend time in there, you might find some awesome records!!! The price of items were understandable depending on the item you are interested to buy.

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for things from years past. Everything is pretty clean and decently organized. I could get lost looking through this store all day. So much cool stuff to find. The owner is really nice too.

The owner is the nicest guy, pleasure to chat with. The shop itself is an acquired taste, it is literally a vintage junk pile. Too much inventory makes it a little difficult to shop there (if not a touch dangerous). Prices are so / so, but it's still a fascinating experience just browsing some of the unusual merchandise. I usually walk out with a couple used records, but there are toys, laser disks, wrestling magazines, and little movie novelties from the 80's and if you want an old tape deck he has a few. It's just a place you have to go browse with an open mind to what you might find.

If you are looking for authenticity, look no further. This place is completely nostalgic. I could spend hours and plenty of money in here. Vinyls see what I go for, but you can find right tracks, cassettes, whatever your heart desires. I find the prices to be reasonable and a decent variety. I had to limit my visits to once a pay period. I'm just glad to have such an amazing, vintage store near me.

This is a small, cozy little shop tucked between two larger buildings and trees. So you may miss it if you're driving fast. Don't let the size fool you though because it's jammed packed with lots of antique items and what I came there specifically for - vinyl!! I wasn't sure what to expect before arriving, but as soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by the friendly owner and immediately to my right were tons of records to dig through. The records all seem to be in good to very good shape and the prices will vary from cheap to really expensive depending on what record it is. However, all prices are negotiable. Overall, it's a nice and quiet spot to spend some time crate digging if you're into music like I am. Check this spot out!

I discovered this place a few months ago and just loving coming in and discovering the vinyl records I listened to many years ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
The owner Alex is very knowledgeable and helpful in your quest to purchase items of vintage. Thanks for the nostalgic memories Alex.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff K.Mount Wolf, PA60434127May 13, 2018
I was in the area having lunch with a friend and thought I'd pop over considering I haven't been to Devintage in a bit. It apparently had been so long that the shop moved to a different location not terribly far from the original.
The gentleman working there seemed nice and asked if I was looking for anything specific. I just wanted to browse and see what was out in the bins. Let me say, I really wanted to buy records. I mean, truly I did. Unfortunately, to my disappointment, I just couldn't bring myself to opening my wallet and here's why. The vinyl sticker prices were some of the highest I've seen in any shop throughout the Mid-Atlantic. I am talking budget bin kinda titles priced anywhere from $5 - $20+ dollars. I didn't understand why so many of the records weren't priced based on the market value of the title. The shop is not located in a touristy spot by any means. It just baffled me. I know from having been to shops all over the U.S. there will always be a record buyer who will spend $15 for the Best of the Bee Gees, but is that is typically not the norm. I stumbled upon at least three records I was interested in but one look at the price and it turned me off.
I'm not one who typically goes into a shop looking to negotiate prices so I wasn't going to ask. I also looked over the cassettes. Not the best selection, but some cool titles here and there. I again was disappointed the prices were so inflated. If memory serves me right they were $7 a pop. I mean, I'd pay at the most $5, but for really run-of-the-mill kinda stuff why not somewhere in the $2-$4 range?
There's lots of vintage audio gear located throughout the cramped space. Nothing super eye-catching, but I likely didn't see everything. Devintage also has a very antique-store-like appeal as well with lots of odds and ends if you're into that sort of thing. It is a little messy and bit disorganized. Not that it bothers me, but worth mentioning.
I haven't lived in the Baltimore area in over two years so if I did ever return it wouldn't be regularly. I don't want to rule out ever going back, but if I did I'd hope for more fair prices. If there's one thing I never like to see is a record shop close up shop permanently.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for your comments. However, here is my response in order to clear up some misleading contents.
1. I have sold about 3 or so of the BeeGees Greatest Hits at varying prices from around $10 to $20 depending on condition. Vinyl records are very condition sensitive and can appear to have an inflated price on them if one does not consider the condition into the price. A simple search on eBay will show SOLD prices ranging from $5 to $30 (including shipping). And I always let customers make offers if they think anything is overpriced. I accept about 95% of the offers they ever make, but I cannot do anything customers who are too "shy" to ask.
2. I personally check and play almost all the vinyl I sell and guarantee them for full store credit if the customer is unhappy with the item. In order for me to do this, I cannot spend 20-30 minutes cleaning and listening to a record and put a $2 sticker price on it. You would be surprised how many Herb Alpert records I sell for $10 and up if they are in NM condition and guaranteed. They are simply tired of going to bargain bins and buying copies that skip. So while I understand your complain about the prices, the condition is a real factor and some people are willing to pay for the time I put into checking them. I have even sold a Perry Como record set for $12. The customer was ecstatic about actually finding a nice copy and bought it to remember her father by.
3. The cassettes have always been $3-4 each with some of the more popular metal ones going for $5-7, with very few rare or in-demand copies above those prices.
4. The comment about it being a little cramped and disorganized... guilty as charged lol.
I hope that clears up some of your concerns, and once again, I do thank you for your comments. - Peter N.Gambrills, MD064May 20, 2017
A very eclectic shop that is chock full of hundreds of not thousands of records that you could browse through all day and probably not finish. Alex the proprietor was incredibly nice and chatted with all us customers and checkout was super easy. I definitely want to go back when I have more time to browse as he had some gems!

Great selection of records, friendly owner, great 1 on 1 experience. Mr. Lee has a wide variety of records and they are in great condition! Definitely worth checking out if you're into collecting records (or anything vintage as he has much more)

This little shop, located at good ol' 404 Crain Highway (I'm told it was a most excellent mini-grocery store back in the day) is chock full o' curiosities! I went in seeking a new nook for fantastic vinyl LPs & 45s, and deVintage delivered:-) LPs are here, there, and just about everywhere you turn. It's well worth the effort of rooting down to examine the inventory thoroughly. Most 45s are centrally located on a large shelf and also very much worth going through. Antique furniture, this-and-thats also fill this locale. WORD TO THE WISE: if you see something that interests you, do not be put off by tag prices, as the owner is super nice and negotiates in an extremely approachable way. I have been to some shoppes where trying to negotiate is akin to birthing an adult rhinoceros. Not here! Alex is tremendously knowledgeable, friendly and always considers an honest offer. Highly recommended:-D
