Dillard's Aveda Salon

Made a hair appointment for my wife. They rescheduled the appointment without asking her because someone wanted to add color to their appointment. RUDE! Apparently our time isn't important.

I used to go to Dillards Salon and, as most of us do,
drifted to other salons over the years .

I have once again discovered The Aveda Salon at Dillards is my new (Salon) home.

Allison takes a sincere interest in 'listening' to (me) as to what I want in color, cut and style. I have long brunette hair and is naturally wavy. She can make it look so beautiful and smooth!!!

Very talented and a great conversationalist !!!

I have recommended Allison to my friend who is a blonde and is very picky about the brilliance her hair must command........Allison delivers!!!!


The Salon really needs a makeover but the view still has that huge window looking down into the mall....

Linda is not only one of the most professional hairstylist in Daytona beach but also have a really polite personality.

A very nice salon on the second floor of Dillard's (South side store). I always thought it was strange to see people getting there hair done when walking in the mall. That said once you stop in you will enjoy the quality of the work and the atmosphere. My wife had a color and cut and they were great. We walked in with hour an appointment and they could take her so I went walking around more. When all was done she (and I) loved the look. I feel she will be back.

Turned me away despite walk-in appointments being available. I understand my hair was a bit messy but I came in to get that fixed. Very rude front desk employee. Some lady with an accent. "Suddenly flooded with appointments". Bullshit. I took my business elsewhere and got my hair cut at Fantastic Sams. I would recommend there over rude employees. Guess what idiots, hair frizzes and people sweat. I'm sorry if that's too "disheveled".

This was initially set to be a 1 star rating after my first visit.

I booked for a partial foil and root touch up for a 4:30 appt. I arrived early and was shown my seat at 4:30.

Literally as I was putting the gown on, I felt rushed and uncomfortable. I was informed they were tight on time due to the store needing to close before the mall does. I understood but was thinking, "Why are you telling me this shouldn't this be your worry, not mine?" But ok. We're all human and get stressed.

This was my first time with this salon and stylist. I wanted 5-10 minutes for a consult. I had questions about a bayalage, which was something I had been thinking of doing the next time I visited and wanted to know if anything I was doing this day with the partial foil would make it more/less difficult to get the desired result of the bayalage when I came back for that. If it would process my hair too much, I may have opted to do a single process and skip the partial foil....

She obviously didn't think these questions were important, tapping her watch and telling 'us' we needed to hurry. She was halfway listening to me, halfway checking the time. This was not helpful and dismissive.

So ok, let's get on with it! I knew I never wanted to go here again. At that point, the stylist informed me that she couldn't give me the partial foil. This was my first time with this salon and stylist. I wondered why they would book me for this service if proper time wasn't allotted? I voiced this complaint.

When the receptionist came over to confirm with the stylist, the receptionist confirmed what I booked for. The manager arrived and was pleasant and apologized and gave me a shampoo gift. It was appreciated and the right thing to do. I explained everything. After discussion, she booked me for the bayalage the next afternoon and I ended up getting the single process.

The next day, I arrived and Lauren was my stylist. I'm glad they didn't give me the same one! Lauren was excellent and knowledgeable. She walked me through my questions and explained exactly what she was doing and the results were amazing! I was sooo pleased with her professionalism, knowledge and speed at which she worked. A real pro. I will re-book with Lauren in a heart beat! She is the reason I am giving this a five star review.

Oh my goodness.... I feel SOOOO safe when I go to the Aveda salon at Dillard's in Daytona!!!

Social distancing, temperature checks, only 3 clients in the facility at a time.

Everything is CLEAN! SANITIZED. Everyone wearing masks, and the stylists also wear plastic face shields on top of their masks.

I truly feel safer here than anywhere in public. Their protocols are more stringent than anywhere I've been since March.

I've been a client for over 2 years, and the staff are very talented, and customer service is exceptional!!

I was extremely pleased with Alexis. I was way overdue for a haircut and walked in to Dillard's Aveda salon in the mall. Let's face it, going to a new person for a haircut is usually very challenging. Alexis listened to my concerns and hit a home run! Thank you Alexis for making me feel like a million bucks on New Year's Eve! When I am in town, I will surely come back to you! Fantastic job!

Mercedes is amazing!!! Soo I've went to so many salons and never walked out satisfied until I got my hair done with Mercedes! She was so good & made my hair look so beautiful. I've never been so happy. She's a total sweetheart & her salon skills are just wow! Amazing! Thanks for making my day and hair even better. I'll definitley be back! :)
