Someone has finally taken over the vacant restaurant space on rte 56 in Butmoor, and it promises to be a tasty venture. My bride and I were actually heading over to a Mexican place on the Butner side of Creedmoor when we spied a full parking lot here and made a quick decision to check it out. I had spent my day performing with my band in Sanford, where nothing was open on a Saturday afternoon for the hours in between lunch and dinner, so by the time I got home to Creedmoor, my tummy was grumbling mean and nasty things about not being fed...

Some of the ambiance of the old restaurant remains... the knotty pine walls and server station by the entrance-way are actually an appealing and rustic decor, but that's where the old ends. The new begins over to the left. There are a couple of pool tables and video games by the entrance. The private dining room appears to be gone and the floor of the dining area is painted to represent a football field. We counted 19 televisions. Where the buffet used to be is now the bar. It looks like there's still some renovation going on, as though there might be a second bar to be set up over by the billiards and video games.

We asked our server, Heather, when the place opened, and she replied "Today, we decided to do a 'silent open'" then she motioned to the owner and he stopped over to greet us and thank us for stopping in.

The food was pretty darn good! I hadn't had brisket that good since a trip I took to Austin, TX about 10 years ago. For $13, the portion was HUGE, over top some smashed taters and a side of perfectly done whole green beans. My bride agreed that the food was terrific. My daughter was loving her food until I told her what it was (oops!!!). Note to self, never tell my 9 y/o she's eating pulled pork BBQ, especially when she's raving about how good it is - game over, instantly the fork went down and she was done. Guess what I'm having for lunch today! We didn't really try the bar food, but we did get an appetizer called Hoosier Dip. This was a concoction of chicken pieces in a sauce made of wing sauce and bleu cheese crumbles topped with crumbled ritz crackers served with tortilla chips for scooping out the dip - fantastic stuff!

I'm glad to see the space occupied with what appears to be a decent restaurant and I hope it works out for the owner. The last restaurant at that location didn't last very long for a variety of reasons, none of which would apply to Dios.

Menu is very interesting and has some unusual but tasty-looking offerings. The place is still too big to fill and, at the moment, it smells like the toilet has backed up. I'd like to tell you how the beer and chicken wings are, but I still haven't gotten either. Plenty of TVs, staff is slow and unenthusiastic.

Update: got my hot wings. The sauce is not very good and, for all the time they took to get here, are undercooked at the bone. They taste like they were defrosted in a microwave and tossed in the oven. I will not waste money here again--another money-pit waiting to go under.

My roommate and I have been here a couple of times. The beer is always cold. The staff is always polite. There were a couple times when it took awhile to get our food and even the drinks. Still shouldn't take 15mins to get our drink orders, even if the place is packed. My roommate and I like to joke about how you never get the same type of wings if it's not mild, med., or hot. We are still waiting to get the Carolina Blue wings to be the same from the first time we had them. I'm still trying to figured out how the wings are hot in the inside but the outside tastes cold?? The nachoes are hit and miss to sometimes. One time prefect. then the next the chips are overcooked (at least I know they cook the chips themselves) Their chili is really good. I do like how they have specials every day, its easy to remember Magarita Monday and $.49 Wings Wednesday. I don't know if it was just a special for the Super Bowl but you should see if they still have the $20 for a pitcher of domestic beer and 20 wings. Not to shabby.
All in all i would give this place a 3.5 star since it's like the only true sports bar in Butner/Creedmoor area.

We went there with our two little kids; thinking it was a family restaurant because that was what we had been told. First; no kids menu. So we ordered PLAIN boneless wings for our girls. They came to the table very well done; the kids literally couldn't eat them it hurt their teeth and they added cornmeal or something which made it even harder. The service was FANTASTIC! Our waiter, a tall man, was really good. He brought us some crackers for the kids since they couldn't eat their food. We ordered onion rings; they were really good, I got a burger; very juicy and good, fries good, husband got some type of sandwich he like dit as well.
We would not go back with our kids since they don't have a kids menu and if it hadn't been for that and the horrible wings i would have given at least a 3. I would go back if i didn't feel like driving somewhere further.

Was HAPPY to see a Sports Bar open in the area as there are VERY few places to have a drink, grab a bite and socialize in Butner/Creedmore area!
Been there about 6 times since I found out about Dios and overall its a good place!
It seems lil too big 1st time I checked it out, but that also means theres plenty of room...even if you have a large party for dinner/drinks!
Drinks are good and at 1st Bartender seemed lil distracted or not too social but he seems to be doing better and DOES make some good drinks!
Food there is pretty good and the 1 time I got a Fish Sandwhich it was TASTEY and HUGE!
      Karaokee nights can be fun!
Overall the staff is friendly and service is good and the owner always seems to be around to say "Hi" and "Thank you" for coming to his place!
Hope to check it out soon when there is a good band playing!

My husband and I ate there on Saturday and we both agreed we wouldn't return anytime soon. We ordered onion rings that came to our table very well done and extremely greasy. After I took one and wiped the grease off I ate it and it tasted almost burnt. I could not eat any more although my husband had no problem eating them. We ordered for dinner the stockyard sandwich which was very bland, in fact I added the horseradish mayo that came with the onion rings to try and add flavor. Also ordered were the chicken tenders that also came well done. My husband thought they may had been frozen and then over cooked. Our waitress made us feel rushed, I had only eaten 1/2 my sandwich when the waitress asked if I would like a "to go box." There were a couple of other things she did that made us feel like it was time to go but honestly I don't remember them. Considering there were only a few parties going while we were there, one being a party of 10 or so, we felt it took a long time to get the food out. We do understand this was their opening day but until I hear everyone talk positively about this place, it will be a while before we go back.

My wife and I saw that a bar and grill had opened up in this spot that had been vacant for at least as long as we have been Creedmoor residence (1 1/2 years). So we decided to check it out on a Friday evening around 5PM. The lay out was as the first reviewer described, except the second bar in the pool table/game room area has been completed. They weren't serving from that bar when we were there, but it appeared to be stocked. The bar in the main dining area was packed with what appeared to be locals hanging out catching a bite to eat and washing their meals down with a few drinks. The dining area, which in our opinions was a little too brightly lit, had only 3 to 4 occupied tables including ours. For the time, this was not unusual for eating establishments, I think we just beat the after work crowd to the restaurant. As for the lighting, hopefully they lower the lights in the main dining area after a certain time of day to give it more of a traditional dining atmosphere, again maybe we were there before the transition.
Now for the food.....I ordered the Brisket platter, as the first reviewer suggested, and my wife had the chicken pita. The service was decent, the waitress was nice and got everything to the table reasonably quick. My brisket was delicious. It was tender and well seasoned. It was served on a bead of creamy mashed potatoes with a side of peppered corn (that's corn with sliced red peppers) that was very flavorful and something I will definitely have again. My wife's Chicken Pita was also very good. It was served with a side salad of tomatoes, goat cheese, cucumbers and dressing, which we both thought was very good.
All in all we had a positive experience at Dios. It won't be our go to sit down restaurant, but more of a quick bite, fun, hangout spot to meet some friends to watch some sporting events on the 20+ flat screen TV's, while having a few drinks. We also saw signs advertising live bands, and Karaoke nights. That sounds like something we'll checkout and would probably enjoy. I think Dios will fill a niche in our community that will add to what we have to offer. I wish the owners success and am pretty sure that I will be a regular, even if it's just to drop in with friends to have a few drinks.

I very seldom write a review but we were serviced so bad, I think the owner should know. We can in a group of about 15 on April 14th, 2012. One of the girls in our group ordered a salad. She got a plate full of shredded lettuce (!) and dressing. When she asked the waitress, if nothing else came on it, the waitresses had to consult the menu to indeed agree that there should have been cucumbers and tomatoes also. She brought it back with the additional vegetables. The girl tried to explain that she wanted a salad, not shredded lettuce, could she get a different kind of salad. The waitress got a little attitude, but brought another salad. Next, one of the guys received a buffalo pasta, with not buffalo sauce. I ordered fish with onion rings, I got fries. But the waitresses was kind enough to bring my onion rings after I pointed out the mishap. My husband and daughter ordered chicken wings. They tasted like they had been microwaved about 20 minutes to long and had ice cold sauce poured over them. And the rest of our company had pretty much the same experience. No one ate up their food. But we still had to pay the gratuity that is automatically added when it's a large group. I just wanted the owner to know, so he can correct the problem, I think Dios has potential, just the wrong people working there.

My wife and I went to try the new Chicken Wing Special advertised. There was a total of only 25 people in the entire Bar and Restaurant area combined when we arrived. The service at the table was friendly and fast but the delivery of our order from the kitchen was entirely too slow. The total order of wings was 24 and although cooked through, none of them were more than luke warm at best. My wife had the Fiesta Salad, which had a Ranch Dressng already blended into it., along with some wings. I asked for a to-go box to take the wings home to reheat them in the microwave to eat. A friend of mine and his wife had come in after us to also try the wing special. When we were leaving I asked him if his wings were just luke wam and he also said that was the case with his and that it had taken far too long for their order to come out of the kitchen. I spoke to the Owner on the way out and advised him of the temperature problem with the food. He stated that it was most likely because they had sat while we were having our appetizers but I advised him we did not have appetizers. I told him even the appetizer situation should not result in food coming out of the kitchen cold and he offered no accomodations of any kind. 1 hour from the time we left the restaurant my wife was in a fetal position with severe stomach cramping. Her condtion was very typical of food posioning and she was severely ill until the early morning hours. I asked my friends if the had any problems with becoming ill and they did not. I attribute her illness to something wrong with the salad she ate since we shared all the other food and she was fine prior to eating it. Draft beer prices over the top and my wife ill from the food has turned us away from what could have been a regular local spot for us to frequent.
