The new location is up and running!! We moved from Worrall Ave. the beginning of April, as some of you know, BACK to our original location, 38 May Street, Pok, NY. 12603 As this is a "private shop" although Walk-Ins ARE accepted, we do ask you call first, just so if there's a private session or are simply busy with other customers and appointments, they get the same attention you can expect when YOU are in the chair. Doc is the sole Tattooer at this site, however he is very efficient and the turn around of clients goes smoothly on a daily basis. We also ask you call first because hours posted reflect Appointment availability, and if we aren't booked, occasionally we will leave the site for a short while, as we ARE technically open 7 days 12-14 hours a day with one artist. Special after hours arrangements are welcomed, simply let us know when works for your schedule. Appointments require a $100 Deposit which is deducted from the final price of the tattoo.

Am extremely happy with my first piece, the staff was great and the place clean and attractive. It was worth the 3 1/2 hour trip for such a wonderful piece of art. I definitely will be back for another tattoo. And would highly recommend them for your first or any tattoo you may be looking for. Keavan was amazing and worked to get my memorial tattoo to my mother just perfect. Fate is what had me wait so long, because this tattoo has me more then happy and it just proves that all good things come to those who wait.
If I could give Keavan a higher star I would!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tamara C.Chelsea, Manhattan, NY132161Mar 25, 2017
I don't like to write bad reviews- I prefer to write positive reviews as often as possible- but I have to warn people before they make the same mistake that I did. I came with some friends and while the staff was really nice, I should have ran after I saw how fast he worked on my friends. This is a permanent process and I think a little more time would have helped everyone have nicer tattoos. My tattoo is terrible. It's the worst of the three. I asked for what I thought was a simple line job and I some lettering and it's just a hot mess. I brought a picture and the exact font I wanted. I don't think I can even fix it. The lettering is not right below the other lettering as I asked- it's cockeyed. It has been less than 24 hours and I've already scheduled laser removal. I would rather suffer the pain of removal and scarring than go around for the rest of my life with this hot mess

My first bad tattoo. "White and pink flowers" became black and pink that looks like my one-year-old did it. There are petals that look like tongues and tears. The lines are horrible, thick black in some places and thin, almost non-existent in others. The shading is horrible.

It was an awful experience! I felt rushed and my tattoo looks like a child did it! I'm going someplace to have it fixed! And I did NOT get after care packet or any ointment! Just a paper towel!

I had a tattoo done (2 sittings, $600 not including tips) by Keavan at Doc Rivers Tattoos. I liked Keavan's art and his style but after the second sitting, I realized that something was wrong, it looked like I was bruised around the tattoo.
I have 6 other tattoos and I have never experienced this before. I did some research and it seemed that this fit the description of what is called tattoo blowout. What I read is that blowout can be caused if the artist goes too deep or does not hold the gun right. I was concerned and called Keavan to discuss what was going on, he had me come over looked at my arm and said that this was not blowout. Assured me that this was going to go away... it has not, it's been 6 months.
I understand that with any body modifications (tattoos, piercings) something can always go wrong, hence the releases you have to sign before the work is done, however the overall experience was disappointing especially b/c of his way to handle this. He had friend requested me on Facebook, probably to network and get new potential customers and once I called him to discuss this issue, he was off my FB, probably worried that I would post some negative feedback on his wall. My feeling is that Keavan avoided further contact on social networks (that he had originally requested) so that he would not have to address consequences of the work he had done.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I still to this day (July7,2017) am attempting to reach the author of this review to amend any problem she might have had. She responded a year and a half ago finally and said she'd send a photo of what she's talking about, so that I can address the issue. I take any complaint very seriously and even 5 years later, this is troubling to me that she was upset. But there's only so much I can d, and it seems the complaints I've received here on Yelp I just people that want to complain and don't want anything actually taking care of nothing I can do about that. Even if they feel I can't help them, they don't even respond and communicate that. Just snipe the business and ghost. I care about every client and every tattoo and stand behind my work. I DO NOT hide from anything as I'm accused of in this review, this must have been a misunderstanding on her part.
