Dollar King - Glendale

I came in here for last minute party supplies and found many cool items for like $1.31 ea.
Everyone was very help especially the manager . She approached me and asked if I needed help and ended up showing me different products they carried that would be useful for the occasion .
I highly recommend this store !
They have a variety of items and they even have a specific party section!

Great store full of rude lazy youngsters who can't be bothered to get a box for 265$ of plastic glasses. They r quite busy sharing tic tock w each other
I found a large box within three mins. 1 for staff ...8 for products

Decent selection but the cashiers overcharge me every single time I've been there! I'm not sure if it is intentional or they are just not bright, but I have seen completely random items on my receipt that I did not purchase, on at least 4 separate occasions.
They also will give you a very hard time trying to return anything, they will make up excuses not to take back items even when their return policy states that the items are eligible for return. If you do shop here I suggest you watch them like a hawk while they are ringing you up, and inspect your receipt thoroughly before walking out!

Bad experience
So I'm trying to return an item but I didn't have the Receipt....
First they told me without sticker and receipt we can't do anything, and I had the sticker but no receipt, they called their manager, she was so busy she didn't even answer her phone, and when she answers she is like no receipt we can't do Anything.
I had my bank statement that shows I was there what time and when.....

Only this location sell this kind purses, but they don't know what they have or what stuff they're selling....

Price is not much they could exchange it .
I'm sorry for people in same situation like my self , because of busy manager and the girl who called her self supervisor, with loosing money, and wasting time with talking to this people....

Change ur position girl, cuz u have no power being supervisor, or manager....

If you are looking for a dollar store, this has to be the holy grail of dollar stores. Clean, organized, friendly staff. It's got a TON of items in a variety of categories. I went for their crafts amd decor for a birthday and I swear they could compete with Michaels on items, but on price they beat Michaels by at least 100%! I will never visit another dollar store if it's not dollar king!

At first things were a dollar. Prices are now 1.51 snd now you see things are up to $60 in here. I do still plan on shopping here but but upset o use to Come here all the form to get certain things and now o can get them other places for a better deal. You can still find good deals here.

Its a good store, they have cheap items compared to others carrying almost the same product.
Not all the items are doable last long got to be lucky Sota the thing.
Only thing now is left for the owners to change their name because the prices are up more than a dollar so the name is misinterpreted.

But they should control rasing prices as they'll be about the same as stores.

Parking lot is fair along with street parking
Employees are sometimes helpful or doubtful.

Bought some mini fans, and needed to return them. The manager on site said she couldn't take them back because "There aren't any on the shelf, we're sold out, so I can't take them back."

Store policy: No refunds. Exchange only within 15 days.

Diana (store manager), learn to work with customers instead of making up "store policies" that are not written anywhere. I had my receipt, the items in new condition, but wasn't able to get the help I needed.

Won't be coming back, who knows what else she'll make up to prevent her from making room on a shelf for the item that they sold to me.

I've enjoyed this Dollar King for a long time until today. When did it become cash only? And why did it become cash only? Are they trying to avoid paying taxes? Seems shady. I loved this Dollar Kings because as a dollar store they were so technically advanced with payment options such as Apple Pay, etc. It's giving me bad vibes now that it's it cash only. Makes it feel like something behind the scenes is brewing.

For those that don't know about Dollar King - it's definitely the king of dollars! You can find a lot of quality stuff (even a real harmonica - not that cheap plastic kind) here for a $1.31! I like coming here for nice gift bags, simple toys, and bake goods. How does it compare to 99 cents and Dollar Tree? Well, it's just different. You can find so many quality lotions, make-up stuff that's not "cheap made" and I'm usually satisfied with their products here. Check it out!
