Q:
Does this place have a pool table?
A:
YES!! There is a super sweet, custom regulation size pool table (9x4.5') with 3/4" slate, that is free to play!
Christina W.Â11 months agoQ:
Do you offer gluten free bread?
A:
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer a gluten-free bread option; but we recently added a sausage platter that is GF, as well as a couple soup options!

We popped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and had a pleasant experience. The food and drinks were good, the service was decent, and the ambiance was nice.
I enjoyed my Feisty Chicken panini, my husband liked his pulled pork panini, and my 5 year old said her pretzel with bacon was "solid." I also quite enjoyed my house-brewed mango hard seltzer, and my husband thought his Goddess beer was good.
We ordered at the bar, and they then brought our food out to us. The service was friendly and reasonably prompt.
The space was quiet and not very busy during our afternoon visit.
We had a positive experience overall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Steve B.Alamo, CA2844Nov 16, 2023
I love this place. Husband (brewer) and wife team - I think. It's a pico brewery with 5 small tanks in the back. I love a good brewery and this is definitely that. They've even recently completed a collaboration with Kern River, an excellent, highly reputable California brewery. And if you're interested in other beers, they have some on tap and many in cans.
They have a pool table, a kids area, and a wall they project skiing videos on (plus NFL football). Live music on most Wednesday and Friday nights.
They do all kinds of grilled cheese paninis which are excellent.
If your dogs are short hair, don't bark, and can behave themselves, they're welcome inside.
If I could give them 6 stars, I would.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 18, 2024
We were in Truckee for a day and my wife came across this place. Breweries are usually a good family friendly stop for us and this was no exception. The people here were fantastic, the locals and the staff. The back room had been converted into a play area for kids which was great. Good beer selection and having NA beer is always a plus. We had a great time finding this place and would certainly come back next time we are in the area.

Stopped in on my husband's birthday after a morning of paddling on Donner Lake. This is a family business, owned by a husband/wife team. Really nice couple. Wendy greeted us when we entered and went over the beers and ciders they had available. I was in the mood for a cider, and after a sample taste or two, I chose one to have with lunch. The food list isn't extensive, but includes a selection of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. My husband and I chose the Berry Marries Bacon panini and the butternut squash soup, and we enjoyed both.
I can't tell you much about the beers; my husband is the beer drinker. I can tell you that he was quite pleased with the beer, and believe me, he knows beer.
Nice little family-friendly dining area with a pool table and a play area for the kiddos. Definitely a cool place to check out when in the area.Helpful 6Thanks 3Love this 8Oh no 0 - 129151706Oct 28, 2023
One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever eaten.
First you check the menu, place your order and go to your seating. There are high tables aw well as low dining tables which was cool. I loved everything in the menu and omg the first bite into my sandwich was just mmmmmmm.. delicious! I loved it. I took the vegetarian option and it was still so goo
It's a cool spot that has a pool table, tv and even a game at one of the tables.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 28, 2023
We stopped into today to finally give them a try. When we arrived, the place was empty, This gave us a chance to talk to Christina, order a flight, plus one, and put our food order in. The place is tucked in a small strip mall. We enjoyed all 5 beers we had. A farm ale, saison, sour, brown, and a stout. Christina, "the woman show" got out food out quickly and just in time. It got crazy busy all of a sudden. Both the Berry Marries Bacon and Jalapopper were quite tasty. I loved how crunchy toasted the bread was from the panini press, but my wife would have a little less toasty. They also have guest taps and a large case of canned beer, cider, and kombucha. Overall, it's a great pico (smaller than nano) brewery.
A separate shut out to Christina. She is super friendly, knowledgeable, and runs the place like a champ. She is literally amazing.
We will absolutely be back.Helpful 3Thanks 3Love this 2Oh no 0 - Bruce O.Sacramento, CA2534681911Aug 19, 2023
Donner Creek Brewery - Truckee , CA - August 9, 2023
This is a cool little micro brewery located just south of Interstate 80 in a little strip mall to the west of Hwy 89. We came in after a morning of paddling on Donner Lake for some lunch and drinks.
The brewery is owned by husband/wife team Greg and Wendy. Wendy greeted us at the front counter as we came in and went over some of the drink options. She gave us a few samples. They have house and guest beers and ciders.
They are primarily a panini sandwich shop with some interesting choices, including chicken, pork, and cheese paninis. They have a couple soup choices, soft pretzels, and a gluten free sausage platter.
They have ample sitting and the overall feeling is like being at a ski chalet. They have a special play area for young kids as well as a pool table.
We split the Berry Marries Bacon panini and got the butternut squash soup. The sandwich was very good and my wife liked the soup. I would have preferred the soup to be creamier.
I tried both the Lil'Biskit West Coast IPA and the U Crazy Bro? IPA. Both tasty and to my liking. My wife got a guest cider and liked it as well.
They have live acoustic music on Wednesday and Friday from 6-8 pm and pool tournaments on Mondays.
They have a good selection of their beers in crowlers as well brewery stickers.
This day happened to be my birthday and when Greg found out, he brought me a free pint of a special collaboration beer that had just been kegged. He was planning to submit it to a beer competition. I think he has a winner!Helpful 15Thanks 4Love this 22Oh no 0 - Sep 30, 2023
Fun local brewery with a small selection of sandwiches and soup to eat. The staff was very nice , good beer , good sandwiches. I had the BBQ pork sandwich which was good but fairly expensive for the size. I tried the tomato bisque soup which was just ok. Fun vibes but the beer is pricey.

We stopped here for lunch after our adventures to the Donnor museum. I wouldn't come too hungry because there aren't a lot of food choices. The sandwiches were good but not substantially sustaining.
The gal was a little unfriendly at first but warmed up pretty quickly. You can totally tell this is a local hangout for "locals".
The slogan is apropos considering the area. See the picture for a good laugh.
There are some games to play and even a playroom for the kids. (I mistook it for the bathroom).
My husband enjoyed the beer, but he always likes beer. Said it was good, not off the charts. Have some interesting combinations.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 3, 2023
Very limited but tasty menu, GREAT brews, inside and outside tables, self serve water (so convenient for those of us who are big water drinkers!) a parking lot and air conditioning! Highly unusual combination in Truckee. A really enjoyable afternoon on a holiday weekend when the rest of the area is crazy busy!
