i love to stop at this little donut shop before work.
i always get a nice breakfast bagel sandwich that is cheap and filling.
also the ladies that work there are very kind.

When you are driving with your head out the window after hitting all those bars on cahuenga, and you are around the intersection of Santa Monica and Highland... your friends will ask you "what time is it?". And because you just had a romping good time at Velvet Margarita, you will answer "...Ah, it's like, about 2:15am...".

Then everyone in the car will all laugh heartily (at you), because they will then proclaim "Nooo... It's DONUT TIME!!!" with a snotty little tone in their voice.

I am hanging my head out the window for other reasons, so this trick never works on me. I always know when it's donut time...
But why would I get them here when I could just as easily get some breakfast burritos from Del Taco just down the street?

I save donut time for other intersections.

Donut Time brings back memories of when I was in 5th grade and my best friend and I would go and split a bag of donut holes. I've always had good service there, I mean it's nothing spectacular, and nothing spectacular should be expected from a tiny 4 table donut shop in a strip mall, but I've always been greeted with a smile and been served promptly.

Their donuts aren't OMFG AMAZING!!! but they are satisfying enough, and about .65 cents (donut hole bags are a dollar). So for that price, and a full stomach, one can't really complain.

The two ladies that work here are super friendly.
I stop by here often when on my to visit my clients. I will usually pick up some donuts and breakfast sandwiches for my clients from here, they love the breakfast sandwiches. Particularly the Bacon Egg and Chhese croissant. My clients always ask for the sandwiches when I visit.

I had seen Donut Time for years and thusly laughed at its name. But after working down the street from Donut Time for a few years, and watching hungry co-workers devour rather large breakfast sandwiches I decided to give it a try. The many mornings I went here I never saw anything less than an "A" hanging in the window. The place is a bit run down, but it seems clean enough, and that's important. It's all about the breakfast sandwiches here. They are cheap, huge, good, and fast. The little donut holes are good when they are hot, and great to share.

As an aside I absolutely LOVED working near Santa Monica and Highland because of our transgendered neighbors. I would see a lady of the night getting into a car pre-10:00AM and think to myself, "Isn't it just too early?" I guess I figured that prostitution should be treated similarly to booze with a waiting past noon rule.

Delish! Found this hole in the corner shop after watching Tangerine. The movie AND the donuts are highly recommended!

It's the donut shop from the 2015 film 'Tangerine!'
Aside from that, Donut Time earns five stars for having free convenient parking, very friendly staff, tasty donuts and a delicious tuna croissant. Plus it's 1.1 miles from Amoeba Records.

Went here to see the filming location for "Tangerine" (The 1st ever movie filmed entirely on an I-phone). The donuts were so good and they throw in some extra donut holes for free. The lady who served me was very nice. A definite must when you're in Hollywood and need your donut fix. The hot chocolate was excellent as well. On Santa Monica and Highland.

Not the best donuts that I have tried but I needed something temporary in that short span before getting to my intended eatery to settle the hangry. Cheap donuts. Small shop therefore it's a grab and go situation.
