What started out as a simple internship for a girl who had never even heard of yoga. This training transformed me as a person. You would never believe I suffered from social anxiety and had never set foot in a yoga studio.
The internship soon became a life journey that would open my eyes to the person who so desperately wanted to shine.
You name I have done it, all with Edge Yoga school of arts. I started as a
Student. Then graduated into a instructor. To spread my wings into teacher training.
Today I'm a Manager of wellness coaches as well as a wellness coach myself. Without my priceless training and endless opportunities, I never would have discovered my desire and love in helping others discover their inner potential.
This is more than training. This could be a life choice that may open your eyes to opportunity and self discovery. A discovery that my lead you to a path that you never knew you needed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 27, 2017Previous reviewI have recently graduated from Edge Yoga school. This training program has been life-changing for me. The owner and creator of Edge Yoga opened my eyes to my full potential. The flexible scheduling and open communication made attaining my education convenient. I never knew I wanted to be a teacher or how much I would love to be a teacher. With this program you feel like you're part of a family. You are taught by a fabulous teacher that brings you into the teaching experience by having everyone in class teacher each other at the same time. Teaching is so much more when you have the opportunity to learn from real people. Now that I am a graduate i'm excited and full of confidence not fear to start my journey. This never would've happened had I not experienced my training through Edge Yoga school. Don't wait run to start your journey you won't regret it.
Dec 11, 2016Previous reviewMy experience with Edge Yoga school has taken my passion and love for yoga to a level I never realized I could or wanted to reach. With Edge Yoga school you feel important and valued. The classes are full of personal experiences, varied personalities and shared knowledge. I feel like I'm more than learning. I'm growing, expanding my knowledge and finding my voice to pass that knowledge onto the next person that decides to walk their path of passion with yoga. I'm pleasantly surprised and blessed I found Edge Yoga School. Who knows if I would've found my voice and hidden passion with another school.
If you want to feel part of a family, hands on learning and have that confidence to teach others, I highly recommend Edge Yoga School. - Dana F.Oak Lawn, IL06Aug 13, 2022
An amazing community devoted to expanding awareness and mindfulness via yoga, art and community. Come for yoga, come for brush meditations- find yourself staying for so much more.

Small, quaint studio located in far south end of Naperville. My experience was okay I tried the Vinyasa flow. We used a bowlster which was different, the class went by fast and felt like I hardly worked out. She did not offer any adjustments or assists. Although, she did have a calm, smoothing, and inviting voice throughout the practice. The ambience was nice although they were no locker rooms or bathrooms and the floor was kind of dusty. When I arrived no one was at the studio, so we actually beat the instructor. They offer different classes throughout the week even pre-nantal too. Another thing to know is that you have to sign up online prior to attending the class. The studio is small and looks like it can hold about 10 people comfortably. You can get your first class for free if you use the code SOUTH.

I am in my second round of yoga teacher training (300 hour program) and this program has really taught me a wealth of knowledge on all that yoga is! Michelle is the best, such a passionate woman and great leader! I am grateful to be able to work with her and immerse myself in her training.

I am currently in Edge Yoga School's well-rounded YTT program, strengthening my own personal practice and learning so much about how to share its healing benefits with others. I recommend this program for its incredible value, more flexibility than other programs, and high quality content.

I love edge. I began my training to be a YTT 200 Teacher in the beginning of fall and it's been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. Michelle's curriculum offers a holistic approach to learning which touches deeply on mind, body, and spirit. Lots of different teachers each with their own style and curriculum keep things fresh. Before lockdown she found ways for us to get in person interaction and learning in a safe way which went a really long way amid difficult times. As someone who practiced yoga consistently for 6 years before beginning, I'm grateful for the opportunity to deepen my practice with such learned mentors. You really won't regret it if you take the chance on yourself and join!

Michelle Rae Sobi makes yoga accessible for all levels. I started my yoga practice here as a beginner. I'm now six months in and have made this cosy studio my home. The classes are well constructed and engaging. So much so that I've signed up for teacher training.
Yoga has a transformative aspect to it. Life changing? Enlightenment? Inner peace? Organically cultivate your own understanding with practice on your mat. Come in hectic, walk out manifesting calm.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicole M.Westchester, IL2765Mar 19, 2017Updated review
I have been going to Power Edge Yoga for 3 years and just began yoga teacher training. I LOVE it! It started off as something I needed for my personal practice/growth and it evolved quickly into something I want to share with everyone.
Edge Yoga School has a variety of teachers to guide you on your journey. You dig deep, it's a wonderful eye opening experience in getting to know yourself. There is a sense of community and family whether you are in a group class or in training. Wonderful quaint studio where you can make new friends, yoga and have fun.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 11, 2016Previous reviewI have been going here since January 2014. It is my sanctuary. I love this quaint little studio better than a large gym group class.
There is something for everyone. Every teacher is different and all classes are all levels. So you don't need to be a pro yogi to feel comfortable here.
Come check Power Edge out. All changes are a response to the amazing growth and always have the best interest of the student in mind. - Sandra J.Naperville, IL16633Jun 1, 2019
Enjoy the Yoga class on Sunday's. Class size is small and intimate so you feel you are receiving 1:1 attention.

This may sound over-the-top, but I am serious when I say that Edge Yoga School changed my life! Michelle is such a loving, accepting soul and her generosity allowed me to pursue a dream that I didn't even know I had. I went through her YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) last year after my mom passed away, and the knowledge, teachings, weekly classes and the people (ohmygod the people!) transformed me into an entirely different person. I'm so grateful for Michelle and her YTT programs. Super-knowledgeable staff, beautiful teachers, diverse curriculum and an endless amount of support and acceptance. Since graduation, I have decided to pursue my 500-hour and Edge Yoga School will be the only place I go for this!
