El Tio Pepe Mexican Restaurant

I've been coming to El Tio Pepe for about a decade, I've also been one of the members of the security team as a second job. I don't work there anymore as I live in Arizona now.

The food: Tvis is real, authentic Mexican food! I pretty much like EVERYTHING on the menu. My favorites though as the fish dishes and Albondigas. The rice and beans are always pleasing sided.

I like things spiced up a little, and they aim to please.

The service: you don't see a high turnaround here, many of the wait staff are "generational", meaning "Mom worked there, and when daughter or son was old enough, they did too". Always pleasant, they address you by name once they know it. So, you do feel that close connection.

The owner: You see him there! He's present! He also eats there, so does his son. So, figure that! If the owner eats there, he's eating what he likes and or meets his expectations.

Mood, the owner, he'd also always wandering around ex and he will ask you about your experience there, and if you do engage him in conversation, he will sit at your table with you and talk. He also proactively asks if anything can be improved, what would it be. Mike had owned this restaurant for a very long time.

So, you're wondering who only FOUR stars, well, how I rate things, 5 stars is truly exceptional, like curing cancer! So, four is my "grade A".

I love this restaurant, I am always treated like a KING here, regardless of if I am working here or not. That said, anytime I come though to California to visit relatives, I'll be coming here. Also, factor in that I bring my mother when I do visit the restaurant, that should tell you something.

I l9ve this restaurant, I love everything they have, from their margaritas to their enchiladas!!! They are my favorite. I even order them from home and door dash them for a special treat!

I've always been a fan of El Tio Pepe from their original location to their newer location. Yes it's in a different location but everything else is still on point.

The driving to get their is that you need to drive eastbound so you can turn into their parking lot. If it's full there's parking in the back.

Entering is in the front.

I ordered it to go and I enjoyed the friendly hostess as she encouraged me to come back for their Taco Tuesdays and what their drink specials were. She allowed me to go out the back which was where I had parked instead of having to walk around again. I thought that was nice of her.

I get to my car and of course everything was hot and delicious. I couldn't wait to get home!!

El Tío Pepe is truly a gem in the High Desert! My husband and I stumbled upon this place while driving down Palmdale rd one day and decided to try it! We were pleasantly surprised by the food. Food was cooked to order nice and hot and delicious. I'm a combination plate kinda girl I ordered the Taco and enchilada plate and let me tell you they did not skimp on the cheese for my enchilada. The shredded beef taco was nice and crunchy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. Service was great they greet you with chips and salsa which were both homemade and delicious. Servers were attentive and kept checking in on us to see if we were ok. The ambiance is very nice cozy and quaint with beautiful stained windows all around. You can feel the humility in this place and the kindness when you walk in. I love supporting businesses like such. We will be back for sure. Give it a try!

The ambiance was great, clean. The service was rushed and average. Food was basic and tasteless. For starters the chips were good buy the salsa wasn't fresh and very bland. The consistency lends itself that it's probably from a jar. The abondigas soup tasted like canned vegetable soup from Campbell's. The taco, chille relleno and enchilada all seemed very bland and flavorless. It was very well presented but suddenly disappointing. This was my 8th visit since it changed owners and name, thought they would get it together but apparently not. I won't be giving them another chance.

Have been here two times since the move. I was very impressed with the food and about of food given. Our service has always been good if not great. After eating here I am always disappointed eating Mexican anywhere else.

One day, I wanted to try Mexican food... found El Tio Pepe and thought I give it a try. I have only eaten here once actually and it was pre-COVID-19. It's been a while, but any feedback is still feedback so here it goes...

I ordered the Chicken Fajitas sizzling plate with loads of grilled veggies... so yummy! I wrapped all that goodness in the flour tortilla, rolled it, and took it down. It's making me hungry right now LOL. Love my fajitas!

Staff was friendly and pleasant. Prices were reasonable at the time. Parking is plenty as it is located near the Mall of Victor Valley. I haven't been back since probably because I'm usually down the hill for my meals. Maybe when I crave for Mexican food again, I'll give them another whirl. Anyway, for those who haven't tried El Tio Pepe, give them a try and allow them to WOW you! Happy Pepe'ing!

The Prices Have Gone Up Everywhere , The Food Is Ok, Since They've Moved To New Location, I Haven't Eaten There , If You Wanna Try A New Location I Recommend La Fiesta In Apple Valley On Highway 18 , Map It Out, Go For Brunch On Sundays Awesome

Service was good. Some time ago, I went to tio pepe when they were on Bear Valley. The brunch was really good with a lot of variety, I figured I would give it a try on their new location. Sorry, it is just a shadow of what it was. Not enough variety to choose from and not enough dessert choices either. I give it a three for taste but only a one for choices. Do not go on brunch. Not worth it.

Stopped by at the new location and we couldn't believe the prices! And their food is not good ! It's not worth 35.00 for a plate the food isn't worth it 15.00 for a bean and cheese burrito! Good luck trying this place
