Elegant Nails

Had a very traumatic experience here today. Walked in for an acrylic removal and dip polish on my natural nail and boy did it take a turn for the worst! I let the nail tech know that my nails were weak and she started removing my acrylic nails by wedging a new acrylic between mine and my real nail, causing severe pain and taking layers of my natural nail with it. I was clearly in a lot of discomfort, focusing on my breathing as I'm trying to not pass out. I made a comment that I usually get them soaked off, but clearly that was not the standard there. She ripped my thumb nail so far down that it started to bleed, it was at that point that I did not want any service after that. I ended up leaving 2 of the nails on because my hands were shaking and I could not bear the pain anymore. No sympathy from the nail tech and she still had me pay $16 for the removal (which I offered to pay being the nice citizen I am). Might I add there was nobody else in there, so there was no rush for any of that nonsense! I hope they dispose of the acrylic nails they used to painfully pop mine off with. Very disappointed in this establishment and lack of empathy/professionalism.

the lady was not very nice to me. Kept sighing and talking to the lady next to her. She didn't feel I was relaxed enough and kept adjusting me and getting irritated. Didn't follow my instructions completely either. I was to have ring fingers special and didn't do it. Prices were way too high compared to the other places I've been.

I've been going here for about a year now. The service is always quick an it's good quality. But sometime depending on who you get for your nails they can be done poorly. I've only had one incident that this happen to me. But I enjoy going an having my nails done here. It's a safe an friendly nail salon an most of the time everyone is friendly. It is a pricey place they could take their prices down like everyone else. But it's acceptable for the work that they do I suppose. I would recommend this nail salone for anyone in need of a good manicure or Pedi done. I wouldn't suggest anywhere else.

Well I was very excited to go back for a fill and new color. Less than 24 hours later I have chips in the acrylic and the color is chipping off. I am not sure if I will have time to go back to have them fix it. No capping.

got my toes done today and they didn't even cut my toe nails even my big toe looks gross and the pain job is horrible and she put horrible effort into it.

I had my nails done yesterday, pedi, and a fill and eyebrows. I was greeted immediately and sat down for my pedi. I was given a frothy drink, very refreshing, and had me a nice pedi. Than my fill and eyebrows. They were very nice and efficiant. I was charged a fee for using my cc . I was satisfied with the service and ambient. Oh yes and I liked that they lined the basin.

I love my nails! I loved how his wife shaped my nails and love the bright colors! I never been here before it was my first time! They were open on Labor Day which was a shocker because everybody in troy was closed! I enjoyed their service! The man even brought this great fruit drink around and passed it out to everybody that was in the nail shop! I would recommend You ladies to go there! I'm very picky about my nails and my hair! And I enjoyed my time! I will come back again and keep up them beautiful colors!

the lady who did my nails was quiet and mean and one pinky nail is longer than the other and both middle finger nails are skinnier than the rest of my nails.

UPDATE!!!! 3/19/16-I decided I wanted to repaint my nails today. This is what I found under all the nail polish! This is only 1 week after getting them done! OMG!! I'm horrified! This was from Elegant Nails at the Piqua Mall. Two of my nail beds looks incredibly irritated. This is ONLY 1 WEEK Later!!!!!!!!

3/13/16-First off I told the lady I wanted square oval when we started! Then when she was about to cut she said rounded and I said yes thinking the square is rounded edges!!!!!!! She cut all the sides off and when I said that was too much she said I didn't tell her square oval. She tried to fix it which left me with short nails. BUT THEN she left grinder marks in my nails by the cuticles. I paid $43 for soaking off the old nails and applying a new set. I went back the next day and Mike fixed them for me but my nails are very short. I don't know who the lady was that did my nails but she apparently works part time.

I went here for a mani/pedi treat for myself and it was quite possibly the worst nail salon experience I have ever had. The staff seemed annoyed that we even came in, I opted for the gel polish on my nails and it looks horrible. The Polish is uneven and all over my cuticles. The two girls I was with nails/toes all look equally as bad. Terrible experience, will never go back. Will never recommend to anyone.
