I had my wife's surprise 40th birthday and needed a suit. From the time I walked in, Mr. Carter made me feel like a gentleman and a king ready for his new attire. I showed him a picture of my wife's dress and told him the color I was going for and he went above and beyond. Mr. Carter is definitely the most professional and knowledgeable man I have ever met in the fashion industry and will be coming here for my suits from now on. This place is amazing. My husband recently moved to the area and needed a good men's shop for tailoring and cleaning and this is it!! Always pleasant, new who we were after the first visit. It's like coming back to a friend every time.

I went to Empire, based on the reviews, because I needed something for a corporate Christmas party. I met James, the owner, and he really helped me out. He was incredibly knowledgable about fashion and helped me pick out something that looked great, something that i would not have done myself. I would have just fallen into the trap of picking outs something plain and safe since dressing up is not something that I normally do. Not only did he pick out something stylish, he picked out something that was appropriate for my age (I am in my 40's); I got several compliments. Beyond the fantastic help, the cost was absolutely reasonable; I would go there before I visit any of the standard chain stores from now on. If you are in need of a suit or any other mens fashion help, Empire is the place to go.

After shopping around at every department store in Greenville and finding myself frustrated at the whole suit shopping experience, I decided to look online for another kind of store.

James, the owner, was so helpful and knowledgable. He will take your measurements, find the style and fit of the suit you're looking for, and along the way, give you helpful styling tips. Pushy salesman make me feel really uncomfortable, but James is nothing of the sort. He treated me as though I was an old friend stopping in to say hello. The prices here are very reasonable and far better than any department store around. I was able to purchase two quality suits (and had them altered) all in one shop for an incredible price.

Visited Empire Ltd today to shop for my son's first interviews. James greeted us along with his friendly ambassador Georgia Rain, a beautiful and distinguished Labrador/Basset mix. He immediately asked how he could help. He was wearing a measuring tape and looked perfectly polished, a sure sign of knowing you're in a quality men's shop. He did a great job of sizing my son up even without the tape, and immediately pulled out a complete ensemble of suit, shirt and tie. James nailed it with something he really liked and shared some interview dress tips. His shop is beautifully arranged, the atmosphere is classy without being stuffy, and he absolutely knows his stuff. He was getting ready for an upcoming fashion show, but offered great service. He offers alterations, shoe shine services, and garment repairs. His merchandise is good quality and the prices are fair. Stop in for style, expertise, and personalized service.
