Energy Roofing

Just got our 1920s tile roof redone. If you didn't know, those super old Spanish tiles can be taken off the roof and put back on. Energy was able to reuse my super old tiles, saving me money and generating less waste. Naturally some tiles would break during this process to waterproof underneath the tiles. So they were able to hunt and source old tile similar to my property.

Nikki was our project manager and was the person who did the estimate. We liked that she tried to keep us updated on progress. It was easily communicated through text. It was also easy to get her on the phone when needed.

This company installed my roof 1 year ago, after latest storms The roof had water intrusion. I have been trying to contact them to honor the warranty. All my attempts have failed. One of their phone lines is always ringing busy. The other one drops the call after the first outgoing message that the call may be recorded for quality purposes.

Very disappointed.

Update: Found out they're out of business.

AVOID!!!!!! They will not correct defects to their installation in a timely manner.

We are 5 years into a 25 year warranty and we have dealt with massive leaks every year, and it is incredibly difficult to get them to correct their defective application. They definitely DID NOT appropriately prepare the substrate prior to installation which caused delamination of their materials, small tears in the membrane, nails visible where the coating was applied (YIKES).

They came out a month ago and said they'd send someone out "next week." When I follow up they say they're on vacation FOR A MONTH.

Recently had another independent roofing company come to my property to continue replacing my roof where Energy Roofing left off.

They informed me that the roofers who worked here last (Energy) did a very sloppy and rushed job.

I ended up replacing my ENTIRE roof (all of the work Energy did) to ensure that my roof is actually going to last.

I had energy roofing (Nikki) replace our entire roof in 2021. Every year since we've head leaks that have been identified via rain. They've come out to patch areas every year. This year I've been trying to get in touch as we still have leaks and nobody answers the phone at 800-303-6062, 747-230-4201, 818-740-5533, or via email.

It is also here (Yelp)that I knew about energy roofing. I met Nikki and Tony among the four companies I selected after reading reviews on a roofing company introduced by an acquaintance and Yelp. As others have mentioned, the prices were very honest and I could tell from the experience. This flood leaked a lot of rain and we waited for the rain to stop. After the rain stopped, the roofing team performed the extensive roofing work by a skilled technician and his team members. Working with roof tiles is something that can never be done if you are not skilled, and it caused the lowest loss rate. (I mean.. a broken number on a tile ) This is an example of how professional the owner, Tony, and his team are.

From the start of construction to the end, he was patient and responded quickly to our numerous questions, always telling us that his final goal was to make us happy. There will always be good reviews and bad reviews, but if you do a roof, There are many roofing companies, but not everyone can do a skilled job (roofing -Tile)
We highly recommend it. my neighbor says Your house is really gorgeous... Neighbors love it. That's because the value of the house is much higher due to the new roof. I will write here that I am sincerely grateful that you split your (Tony) busy time to respond to numerous requests from the beginning to the end and turned it into a wonderful house thanks to your team.

I had Tony out for a roof leak on Feb 28. The sealant charge was $575. Two weeks later on March 15 the leak not only came back but had increased in the exact same spot where the seal was added. I asked the team at Energy Roofing about having it looked at again and was told that they did not provide warranty or guarantees on seals and it would be an additional charge. Extremely disappointed in their service and response.

EDITED TO ADD: I can verify that the invoice does say no warranty HOWEVER an invoice was not provided to me until three hours AFTER the owner had completed the work and left and I was told in person that if there were any issues to let them know so it could be corrected.

I called Energy Roofing in a pinch: I was moving out of my house and noticed my roof was leaking. They came in and gave a quote within 3 business days and with a downpayment they were at work demo'ing my old leaky roof about 3 days later. Nikki was overseeing my project and she was nothing but professional: communicating with me every step of the way with pictures and all, as well as working with my insurance adjuster. They completed the project 1 week earlier than I anticipated. I can tell by the quality that they are true professionals. I would highly recommend and will be going back to them for any roofing needs in the future. Nikki was 10/10 - she helped me manage the entire project remotely from start to finish. One of the best contractors I have hired on my home.

Back in 2019 Energy roofing replaced 2 roofs for me. One had no issues whatsoever, even with all the crazy rain this year. The other started to leak from the heavy downpours. Tony, the owner, came out to assess and repair under the warranty at no cost. Easy communication and fairly prompt given LA traffic. He also followed up after the leak repair twice.

Our roof was leaking from the recent heavy rain and called a few other roofing companies and Energy roofing provided me with a most reasonable and clear quote and an explanation that I could have confidence in.
And Tony replied to all my questions promptly and quickly replied even though I've been texting every single question.
All roofing work was done step by step smoothly in a timely manner.
Will call him again if I need any additional house improvements!
