If you are looking for a studio with a calming environment and experienced instructors, Expression8 is a great place to go. I emailed them to set an appointment.

The instructor who runs this studio is very knowledgeable about all different kinds of mediums and is a talented teacher. I feel that I have learned a lot in my short time here. Although I was a bit apprehensive to the teaching style at first, overtime, I can really see an improvement in my work as an growing artist. During my time here, I learned a lot that improved my painting and drawing techniques. I can feel that my hand has become steadier and my attention to detail is a bit more precise.

This studio is a great place to learn technical skills as an artist, and if you are looking for a place to learn character design, landscape painting, and even digital design, I would recommend checking this place out.

My daughter has been attending Expression8 Art Gallery for two years now, and the progress she's made is truly remarkable.
In both traditional and digital art, she's reached Level 2 and learned so much - from mastering Procreate to exploring different painting techniques. Prasanthi's personalized attention has been fantastic, giving my daughter the support she needs to grow as an artist. Plus, Prasanthi's encouragement has boosted her confidence.
Mr. Ken who teaches her digital art has been extremely patient and highly detailed in his teaching style.
I highly recommend these classes to any parent looking for a nurturing environment where their child can flourish creatively!

My 8 year old loves art and we needed to find a new after school class for her. We booked the trial here and another studio. She has some sensitivity to a lot of noise. I thought this studio was going to be perfect because of the ambiance and how gentle the owner was. However, I still needed to do my due diligence and check out the other studio. I was not told the night of the trial that they sell out of their classes super fast. A couple days later I emailed to set her up a class time and they only had classes starting at 6pm or later at night. I'm not sure who has 8-year-olds that are doing classes that late but my kids go to bed at 7:30. The class times that I was given were not the same ones that I was given at the trial. I'm assuming the ones told me had filled up and they opened new later ones for the demand. That's great for them if they are in that high demand. I thought that because there were at least three different classes at earlier times, one of them would be available within a 3-day time span. I requested to be put on the waiting list in January. I have not heard back at all. The good news is that I found a studio I didn't know about before and the teachers are absolutely amazing and they have several different art classes available at 4/5PM start times with way more overall flexibility.

The main takeaway would be to sign up at the trial if you like this place. But judging from the other reviews it looks like there are a couple other hurdles providing me reassurance that it was in my best interest we missed this place.

I wanted to go teach both of my Children Art. My daughter has took Art classes before. And she does painting now with oil. When we signed up they put her in first level of Art. I thought that's ok. As long as she will learn.

FIRST ALAM, they require a whole month deposit for both children. That should have been a flag for me. I'm not renting an apartment. There is nothing called I pay two months, and telling me one of the months are a deposit.
Of course they will do anything to take that money. The fine print on their policies is ridiculous.

Second Alarm, I had planned a trip called in there always no one to talk to. You have to do any communication through email. Let them know ahead of time that Both children won't be able to attend. They offered me another day for makeup. After two weeks, I had a conflict of schedule due to an emergency. I sent an email requesting help, to have them switch the children to a different day. I get a long email about their policy. And they will NOT do a makeup for them. THEY ENEDED UP TAKING THE MONEY FOR THE CLASS WITHOUT PROVIDING SERVICES.

My problem is the kids were going here for 3 month. They learned nothing. THIS PLACE IS ALL ABOUT HOW TO STEAL PARENTS MONEY. They stole the deposit under the umbrella of policies, took they money for the classes I had emailed and said I have emergency, and can't have them make it.
Don't recommend this place for parents. If you want you children to learn Art avoid this place. Avoid Avoid Avoid

So my friend and I took the adult workshop about 2 months ago, since we were on our spring break and didn't have other plans. Prior, we both don't have any experience at all with any kind of visual/fine art.

The instructors were extremely helpful in knowing we were complete beginners at this!! We really had no clue what to expect or what we were doing but they broke down the process and made it easy to understand. We would love to come by once more, since we were only on break for 2 weeks. Because of this we sadly didn't get to finish our canvas.

I do look forward to coming back again and finishing up my work. This place has a really positive vibe to it.
