Extra Virgin has been highly recommended to me by many. Came here on a Sunday night and they had a lot of space and seating available. We opted into sitting outside with the warm heaters. The staff was great, constantly check in on us and gave us great options for our appetizers/entrees.
For our starters we got the fritto misto , and the buffalo mozz salad. The mozz salad was refreshing and light, but the ricotta balls were inconsistent with the flavor. I believe that the sauces are what carried it and depending on what ball you got it was either bland or had some sort of flavoring.
For our entrees we ordered the Ahi Tuna Steak with a side of fries, the lobster bucatini, and the truffle fusilli. Presentation wise the ahi tuna steak was the best thing we ordered! It was absolutely delicious and filling, I couldn't even finish it! I believe the pastas were fine, a little underwhelming but good. Fries are delicious! So definitely order some for the table.
For dessert we shared the warm flourless chocolate cake and the berry cobbler. Both were so delicious!
Definitely a great spot in the West village, a bit pricey, but pretty good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 8, 20241 check-in
I came here late afternoon on a Saturday. We sat outside and it's a great spot for people watching. The heated lamps were turned on and they were hot if you were underneath the lamp!
My friends got some drinks and fries to share. The fries didn't look like anything special and came with ketchup and this cheese (?) sauce that we couldn't figure out what it was.
There's 2 single stall bathrooms in the back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bunny L.Manhattan, NY310214Jan 14, 2024
Extra Virgin a cute chic spot in the West Village.
Chic interior and a few great tables outside in front of the restaurant in the summer. Great for people-watching or running into friends. An afternoon drink and a bite to eat with friends is why this restaurant was created
The food is delicious although I think the menu needs some additions. The Tuna Tartar is delicious. The interior is a little cramped but that's the West Village.
Lots of charm and a lively atmosphere.
Good service but could be friendlier front of front-of-house people.
Please add more inventive vegetarian-friendly dishes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 28, 2024
We were excited because the ambiance of the outside looked great! The service was great but the food fell far short of expectations. For the price ($29 - $36 per dish) our expectations were not met. My partner had the Lobster Ravioli and I had the Mushroom crusted virgin chicken. The food looked great when it came out from the kitchen but the taste was bland and we were too embarrassed to ask for salt and pepper. I wasn't impressed at all and won't return and I truly hate leaving bad reviews . Stick to wine and salad if you go! Those were yummy!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever experienced. Ordered drinks and the waitress fumbled around for ages before making them, with no other customers in the restaurant to be serving/helping. We were there for two hours and didn't get our food until an hour and a half in. We had 5 people, the place was empty. Half of the party had to leave because it took double our lunch hour, the remaining few of us took it all to go. I ordered the mushroom asparagus turkey burger, opened it at work and it was an unseasoned turkey burger on an English muffin. No truffled asparagus and mushroom to be seen. The "manager told me that my burger is what held everything up". You're telling me it takes over an hour to make a turkey burger? There were endless excuses and nothing to back it up. Asked if we could order desert to go and they said they would have to make it. You're going to bake a cheesecake, pie, tiramisu, etc every time someone orders a slice? Unbelievable. Can't understand how they survive...would never go back. They don't even deserve 1 star, save your money and time and go somewhere else.

Didn't come for food. Just had cocktails. Service was excellent! Our bartender, Duane, was darling. It's as if we had known him a thousand years. Never met him before! Custom-made our drinks: "whats your thing?", he asked, then took his time to craft two gorgeously delicious beverages. Yum.
Place is not inexpensive - set me back $38.
The ambiance is nice, music was to my liking, and I had a good time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 8, 2023
Had some family in town and wanted to take them to a new spot (for all of us) for brunch, so we decided to give Extra Virgin a try. It was fairly easy to get a reservation for 4 on a Sunday (booked the day before), which is what helped the decision (plus all the brunch menu is extensive and the photos of the food looked delicious). The restaurant had a cozy vibe (similar to many other WV establishments) and felt comfortable.
Food-wise, we ordered a variety of dishes from the Garcia Omelette (with caramelized onions, peppers fontina cheese, and chorizo on top), the croque madame, the caramelized French toast, and a veggie frittata. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their dishes and they were priced on par with other brunch spots in the neighborhood (which can get expensive). The sandwich came with a side of fries and those were pretty tasty as well.
Service-wise everything was great! Server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Z S.New York, NY15911Oct 31, 2023
The food was very good. The service was fine.
Apetizers cost $16-20 and are very nicely presented. Main courses cost $22-32.
Indoor and outdoor seating. Cocktails. Casual relaxed ambiance.
The menu lists Modelo beer, but the restaurant ran out of it.
We ordered beef burgers, and the server returned a few minutes later and told us they ran out of beef.
It was 7:30 pm, and a supermarket is around the corner. How can a restaurant run out of beef and the most common beer?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jess P.New City, NY12113Apr 13, 2024
A good place to sit outdoors but they genuinely had the worst drinks of all time. Would recommend spending your $22 on a drink elsewhere, at a place that uses quality and fresh ingredients.

Very cozy space but the meal was inadequate. Steak frites consisted of five slices of steak and a handful of undercooked French fries, all for $32. This is not what I expected. Steak frites most places at this price are a steak, not slices of a steak, and hot, crisp fries. The appetizer and drinks were good, however.
