Wonderful little gem of a restaurant hidden off the main road and absolutely worth the drive. It's situated in an old country store and had a great "home cooking" feel to it. My wife ordered the bbq platter and I ordered the fried chicken tender platter. Both are prepared and cooked on site and were delicious! The service was great too! Will definitely return!

We stopped here on our road trip twice. The breakfast was on point for our family of five and the lunch was even better. It was the best pulled pork sandwich I've had.

I found Ts on a road trip to Virginia from St Louis. The food, service, and ambience were all so good, I made a point of stopping here again on my way back home the following week. This is a comfy, homey place. Feels like you've dropped in at a friend's farm for lunch. I had the same two servers both times and I felt they took their jobs seriously and had a determination to always give great service. My first lunch was the lasagna special that day. I'm a very good lasagna maker myself and I was really impressed with the flavor and the presentation since it was served in its own baking dish. I also happened to spot "Deep Fried Avocado Bites,' in the appetizer section and couldn't resist giving them a try. They were so delicious, I ordered them again on my return visit and even got another order to go when I left. What was in that amazing lime flavored cream that came with them??? I'm going to attempt to make these at home this week. For my return lunch, I had the fish, with a portion so big, half of it became my dinner.
I stopped here both times in October, so I'm sorry it took me so long to compose a review. I definitely recommend you stop in here and in fact, I've already recommended it to two friends who live in Virginia. It's a short distance, very easy exit from the interstate and has plenty of parking. I also bought a few gifts for friends in their 'general store' section of the dining room.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Falls Church, VA09Feb 13, 2024

I had a shaved ribeye sandwich with provolone and grilled onions.
Side of collard greens Excellent !
Easy access from 64 (but not suitable for large trucks)
Old general store , also sells some local crafts and lavender products
Lighting was very dim, so I chose a sunny window seatHelpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Rob. Thanks so much for the review. Glad you enjoyed your food. We wish we could figure out how to get it brighter. All the lights are LED. But with such an old building we would need to add more amps to the panel to add more lighting. The building is nearing 175 years if my memory is remembering that right. Glad we have those big windows though. Take care.

We stopped here driving through and we were impressed as soon as we walked in the door. We have two little ones and the sweet women recognized two tired parents & immediately got them coloring paper & put a movie on. But yall. The food. THE FOOD. It was amazing!!! We got the pulled pork (smoked in house), collard greens, burgers, Mac & Cheese. All absolutely delicious. A little hole in the wall in a tiny town with a clean establishment, amazing people, amazing service, and amazing food! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Quaint country restaurant with super friendly wait staff. Only picked up coffee to go but enjoyed my brief time in there & interactions. Wish we could've stayed for lunch. They had chicken livers on the menu! YUM!!
