My wife and I shared the loaded pineapple bowl. It was wonderful. The ambiance reminded me of places we visited on our Caribbean Cruise many years ago. The service was fantastic. We were with a party of 7 others. But the server was never rattled and was very efficient at anticipating our needs. Very very pleasant experience.

Today I came in to celebrate my birthday with a couple of girlfriends. Haven't been here for a while due to the hours changing and there being no lunch option. Me and my girls decided to come celebrate my birthday with some karaoke and some Caribbean food while we supported all black local business. My friends have complained about this place a few times over the years, but they've never messed up my food and we're always super sweet so I decided to have, my crew come and celebrate my birthday here. Once we arrived. I asked to sit in the that they have a karaoke machine in and was told that it would be too loud. We said we wanted to do karaoke which is the whole reason why I set up party here and the cook said that they couldn't, because they didn't want to mess up the speakers or equipment and the manager wasn't there. I asked the waitress, because she said she could called the manager since that's what we came here for and they said we have to call in advance to have karaoke. This was really disappointing because there's not really another karaoke bar, that would be open this early in the day and we knew that they had the means to make it happen.

On my way to the restaurant I noticed that the Fazmoz food truck was leaving, and I told my friend I hope that there's nothing on there that I need. She laughed because she said that, that would be impossible. Why would you put all of your items there when you have a restaurant.

Well, we got in and we ordered, one of my friends found an eyelash bar on the table and then we realized we probably needed to clean thetables better. it took a while to get our drinks and I ordered water at first and still didn't get it until most of my friends already had half their food. Unfortunately they didn't have basic sweet tea or lemonade or certain punches because they have those on the food truck. SMDH, why on earth would you put all of something on a food truck that is nowhere nearthe restaurant. One of my friends mentioned we need to find the food truck, so we can get the whole menu I really was debating leaving. The waitress was newer, which we didn't know when we got there and we were the biggest table, but they were some others and it took forever to get basic things like water and extra napkins which we went and grabbed ourselves after a while. Every time she came back to me, she said in a sweet voice I'm so sorry but... We don't have abc..... at this point. I just looked at her and asked what exactly do you have, since you don't have the things that I'm asking for. We decided to try to have fun anyway, and once the food finally started coming out for everybody they got quiet as usual, because everyone was eating and sharing food. Despite the shenanigans and inconsistencies at the restaurant, the plantains were actually super yummy. I shared them with my girls who had never tried it before, and they loved it. I realize that they didn't have much chicken at all, but lots of cabbage in the egg rolls. They also have a nice little spicy jerk flavor, which is cool. My mac & cheese was absolutely toooo greasy. I could pour the grease out from the cheese. I cannot eat it, I gave it to my friend so she could take it home to her husband. The small salad was OK nothing special and I ordered the catfish which came out super extra crispy with no real moisture, but really good seasoning. It was so super crunchy that I want to hurt my mouth, so I gave it to a friend who loves catfish she ended up taking it home.

Since the staff could tell that I was not a happy customer while celebrating my birthday they offered me some bread pudding. I appreciate the thought, but it was so chewy and inedible. I felt like I was eating gum and only could take two bites My total was $32.16. We ended up being there for over two hours waiting for our food and eating. I gave the waitress $40.16 and waited for my, change along with one other friend who was waiting for her change. We sat an additional 20 minutes and then I had to call the waitresses, because she never came back to the table. I guess she assumed because other people gave her the rest of their change that that applied for the whole table which it did not. It took forever to get basic water, I did give a tip, but not the tip that I would have given after the service was as good as it usually was in the past.

I love supporting this place, but I think this might have been the last time I will be here. People make the mistakes and life happens, but I was really trying to celebrate my birthday with my girls and it just was not a good vibe or situation. If you plan to come here and celebrate in a big fashion, please give them a call first. Let them know you're coming and if you want to use the karaoke room, please make sure you do a reservation and tell them ahead of time because it is not available to use on Friday night like we all believe we saw posted in the past.

Highly HIGHLY recommend this business..best restaurant we've eaten at in a long time. We've heard great things about it so we decided to eat supper here on Saturday evening. There were only two people working but it was okay since it was just us and another table. This was also my first time eating at a Caribbean food restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The food was magnificent, especially the jerk chicken egg roll appetizer, and the workers (who were part of the family owned business so that's always a plus) we're super nice. Will definitely go back, maybe in the next couple days lol

Was traveling to Utah and saw this place here. I said the next time I'm in town I'm going. So I was in town and I was there an hour before opening. Foodie like me going to wait that hour and I did. Was I happy I did. Heck my stomach was too. The young lady that waited on me was super super nice and the cook was too. Enjoyed my experience here. O yeah. I finished that in one helping. Couldn't stop eating that pineapple bowl!!!! You foodies should check this spot out.

So good. No cheap but worth it. Portions are ok, can't complain. Good amount of selection. Authentic JA food and drinks. Good service.

Visited again, everything was amazing. The flavors here are just incredible. Different than anything you'll find in town. Loved anything with curry. Inside was clean, waitresses were really sweet and well dressed. Thought it was a perfect experience, we will be returning very soon! Can't wait to try even more of the menu.

      Food:
      - Jerk Chicken: Huge piece of chicken thigh that was very flavorful and juicy. This was my first time having Caribbean food so can't really comment on the authenticity of the flavor profile.
      - Coconut Shrimp: The coconut oil was a bit overpowering and just felt really oily. It tasted decent although I wish it was crispier.

      Experience:
I ordered take out through Uber Eats. Fyi, there's a considerable up-charge on food prices since it is through the app. Service during pick up was fine though.

      Value:
For the prices through the app, I def think it's way too expensive. For the pricing at the restaurant, I would say it's still pricey given what you get. Overall, cool place to try if you're interested in trying something new but not somewhere I would go back to.

Delicious Caribbean offerings, and GARGANTUAN servings for the reasonable prices. The restaurant is inside an old Mexican place, and the interior is colored as such, with black paint covering the walls and a smattering of bright colors swathed throughout. It's in an out of the way shopping center, so it's not been busy either time in went. Quick service.
