68126674Mar 4, 2023I've recommended numerous people over the years to this Dental Studio....once known as Fidel Dental but still same great staff. Dr. Hong is awesome and has a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!

Haroon A.Alexandria, VA53451Jun 24, 2019Long story but I'll keep it short. Had an appointment for Tuesday, found out Friday evening that i couldn't make it. Called on Monday to cancel, she said there was a $50 charge to cancel but since i wasn't aware and it was my first cancelation she would waive the fee. Week later i get a bill for $50, i called back and she gave me attitude saying that the policy is on their door even tho she stated she would waive it for me. This place cares more about a $50 fee than losing a patient who was going to spend thousands of dollars for dental work. They have their priorities all messed up.

Haroon: I am very sorry you were not satisfied with our office. Just to remind you that this was the second appointment you cancelled; Veronica waived the first appointment fee for you but you broke the second appointment as well. Both appointments were with our periodontal specialist whose appointment times are very difficult to come by.
We maintain the broken appointment policy out of courtesy for our doctors; It is not a source of revenue for the office. I do appreciate your frustration but also admonish you to keep in mind the importance of dealing with people in a civil tone without resorting to offensive language.

I had another great experience with Dr. Hong, Cathy, Paola and Juliana. I keep trying to hire Juliana but she is very happy at Fidel.
Dr Hong removed a piece of broken tooth an oral surgeon left behind when he performed an extraction. I had a chronic fistula and Dr. Hong took care of the problem. I also had a crown fitted and it was perfect! Feb 15, 2020Previous reviewI had another great experience at the Fidel Dental office in Arlington. Juliana the office manager does a wonderful job with regards to obtaining preauthorazation before procedures and explains what my insurance will cover. This can be a daunting task but with her years of experience she gets the answers proactively. If necessary she will make multiple calls to the insurance plan to verify coverage.
Dr. Hong is an outstanding dentist and I recommend him highly. He takes a conservative approach to dental care and is aware of the cost of care and does the best he can to recommend the least expensive approach to fix the problem.
Paola and Veronica are very experienced dental assistants and are extremely gentle. They keep the office well maintained and the equipment in excellent working order. In other words if you want to get the best bang for your dental $ Fidel is the place for you. Please keep my comments quiet so I don't have a difficult time making another appointment!Feb 6, 2020Previous reviewI had a great experience. Cathy at the front desk did a wonderful job contacting my dental insurance plan to explain covered and non-covered services. Paola the dental assistant is exceptional. Horrible office. Long story short, I had recent xrays with me for my cleaning. They retook them and said that via email they spoke to me about their bad quality. I asked to see that email since I never had a conversation with anyone about that. They responded later and stated I was verbally told in the office which is also false. Now I am waiting for their call for over 2 weeks now but they only care about lying and charging me. Especially during Covid-19, choose another business to support!!

Ms. T: I am sorry you are not satisfied with the service you received at our office. We provided service to you over a year ago and you seemed satisfied with the work we did for you.
In general the fees we charge our patients who participate with dental insurance plans are stipulated contractually by the insurance company and the Employer and we are obligated to follow those fees.

Beautiful office, great staff! I have worked with two different hygienists, and both were very patient and took the time to explain everything and to give me suggestions about better oral health. Dr. Ruben Cuellar did a wonderful job with my cavities - I was very nervous - but he was thorough, gentle and effective.

Left there with more issues than I had before! I was in no pain before the appointment but now am in a lot of pain because of the procedure! The result? Yeah, live with the pain or pay more for a root canal that was not needed at the time of the appointment because the dentist got too close to a nerve!!!
