Neil P.
You aren't just a number or seen as an invoice -- you are a person and we care about your safety. Neil's accurate, painstakingly detailed work is what has customers returning for any other service work needed. In fact, Neil may be working himself out of a job as his repairs are so well done, and vehicles progressively returned to excellent condition, that only maintenance work is then required! In fact, that is his goal: as your vehicle is an investment, he wants to ensure the absolute best work is what you are driving when you leave our lot. He likes to start with Computer Data Retrieval -- you don't know what you can't see, and vehicles are so incredibly software-based now, and Christina likens the process to when a patient has bloodwork done. The next step is our Scheduled Factory Maintenance Check -- or as Christina calls it, a physical check-up of all the vehicle's systems -- which includes a test drive; you receive copies of the computer report as well as typed notes of our findings as well as recommendations. Customers have told us how they appreciate the report as it allows them to make informed decisions and actually understand their vehicle's needs. We get it: cars are complicated! And, we are here to help.

Under new management.
The place I normally go to had their NC inspectors lose their licenses.
I was under a time crunch and had this place recommended to me.
They were able to inspect my truck pretty quickly. They seemed friendly enough.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Thomas L.SC, SC03Dec 27, 2022
Where to begin? Customer for 3+ years under old ownership. Always received prompt service (same day) but husband also felt like repair bills were very high for a regularly maintained vehicle.
Found out that old manager was supposedly bilking customers for excess repairs after the fact. Took car in for regular maintenance under new ownership and was quoted 6k+ in repairs. We almost considered buying a new car because we were so shocked by this figure!
Was told my car would imminently be in non-working order. When I questioned what was absolutely necessary (repair wise) to keep the car running, new owner attempted to bargain with me. What? Why are we talking about what I can afford if each of the items supposedly wrong on my car will render it useless?
I was super creeped out and said we needed to talk over costs/repairs as a family. I took my car for a second opinion the next day and was charged less than $100 for a once over. All that was needed was a new filter on my A/c system. No joke. New service center was horrified at the cost of even an oil change at 5 Points Service Center.
Long story short...Car has been running great for over a year now with several out of state trips and just basic maintenance. Please do yourself a favor and seek a reputable service center. I feel so foolish for trusting this place for years because they were convenient. There are service centers in the same area that don't try to negotiate or up charge you if you do a little research.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Toccoa M.Hayes Barton, Raleigh, NC01Dec 26, 2022
I never post reviews but felt I needed to let others know to BEWARE. I have used this place for years and had satisfactory results. However, last week I took my car in when a check coolant light came on. The fast talking mechanic Neil suggested "diagnostic testing". Three days later at closing time he called me to come pick up the car and I had extra, unexpected charges added to my bill. He said he would compensate me with work on the car later.
In talking with several neighbors later, I learned that they too had similar experiences--overcharges!! BEWARE!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Connie R.Columbia, SC0193Aug 22, 2023
I went in for annual car inspection and the service was excellent and professional. I appreciated learning of more services they offer and the price was fair. The location is very convenient. They offer you a ride home when car is being serviced. Overall great experience.

Something is going on here and its not good. I have taken cars here for more than 25 years and always got good care. However, last month I called and had to leave a message, did that twice and no message returned. Then I called first thing Monday am and a very surly man answered (not my usual guy) and said some weird things and that he would have 'the girl' call me. that was 4 weeks ago. Obviously I have given up
This is so sad. It was the best place for decades. I have to call all the people I referred there and tell them to not go, but of course, maybe no one will talk to them anyway, that will save peopleHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 25, 2021Previous reviewI would trust these people with my life. I was sad when I bought a Prius and figured that they couldn't service all the fancy stuff, and was correct, then. However, I recently had the opportunity to discover that Five Points now has the skill and equipment to do anything on my Prius.
Recently my batteries both died. I spent two days on the phone trying to get information from Fred Anderson's service department and Toyota Road service. No one called back, no matter how many times they promised to. They just expected me to spend nearly $200 for a tow to Fred Anderson and then trust them to fix the car. I haven't been able to trust them since they redecorated. Long story, see my review for them.
I called Casey at Five Points just to get a recommendation for towing. Well, Casey has been to school, learned how to do it and bought all the equipment to fix my Prius. Wow. He told me in 2 minutes exactly what was wrong and what they needed to do. He came to my house, jumped one battery so that I could drive to Five Points. He then fixed my car by the next day. It actually had more pep to it when I drove home.
Now, this is very important. Casey and Five Points found water in the battery well so the cost was more than the original estimate. However, because of my decade-plus of experience with him, when he told me that (I could tell he hated having to do it, he personally cares about his customers) I had zero hesitation. I knew that if Casey said it needed to be done and that is what it cost, that is exactly the truth.
I get free oil changes from Fred Anderson for life. However, I will happily forego that and pay for the oil changes just to know that my car is in the hands of Casey and the men at Five Points Service Center.
Additionally, I was once there waiting for inspection (which I have had him do with my Prius) and met a young woman from Tennessee. She needed a lot of work. Her grandparents bragged so much about Five Points that she drove from Tennessee to get the work done. That is the kind of loyalty that the excellent work done here engenders. - Leigh G.Raleigh, NC01Dec 28, 2022
Worst experience ever!! We took our car in for a new starter. Neil claimed he did all of this other work on the car which we NEVER approved. We have found out he has done this to several people. Our starter cost us $2,500. He is a total scam
artist who lies and will take advantage of everyone he can. We are in the process of working with the Attorney General's office to get our money back and have him shut down.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gary G.Raleigh, NC03Dec 28, 2022
Watch closely for overcharges and doing alleged repairs without authorization. Call Attorney General before paying excessive charges...when picking "repaired" car up.

I've trusted Casey and team to take care of our cars over the years - from basic oil changes to replacing an engine mount and struts. Convenient and honest car work.
