Me & my sister were delighted that as soon as we got outside the driver arrived. And we were all early. Which worked out well for us.

We hired Nick at Florida Shuttle Vans to provide transportation for four adults and three children to and from the port of Miami for a dual family cruise. While my experience started off positive, it ended in a complete disaster, and I'm taking the time to write this review so other families do not have to go through what we did.

We were scheduled to be picked up from our friend's parent's house and then dropped off at the port. Nick arrived on time and got us to where we needed to be. However, what transpired before our scheduled pick up after the cruise was over was, my opinion, completely unacceptable, inexcusable, and unprofessional.

Saturday night, the night before we were set to arrive in port, Nick texts a member of our party with, "I am unable to provide your transportation" and gives the numbers of two other services to call. No explanation was provided at all and even worse, absolutely no apologies were given. He had just left seven people, three of them children, two of those children having Autism, stranded.

Keep in mind we had no cell phone service on a cruise ship in the middle of the Caribbean and the text didn't arrive until after 9:00 PM. Had we not had the WiFi package from our cruise line, we wouldn't have even received the cancellation text until we got into port and our cellular service connected again. Since we couldn't call anyone without cellular service, and since all the business were closed by the time we were notified that we now had no ground transportation, we spent a fair part of late Saturday night into Sunday morning emailing various shuttle services, including the ones Nick told us to. None returned our emails, even into Sunday morning. We also attempted to rent cars online, but all we sold out in the sizes we needed to accommodate the number of people and luggage we had.

Our last resort was to take a shuttle from the port to the train station and then take a commuter train to the station closest to our friend's parent's house, then have them pick us up in multiple cars. Unfortunately, a car struck the train ahead of ours and we were forced to disembark our train at the station before the accident. We then had to wait hours at that station, with no restrooms or vending services with three children (two with special needs), while the train company shuttled the passengers to the next station past the accident. We then waited at that final station while they attempted to clear the wreckage off the tracks so trains could get through.

What should have been a trip of 3 1/2 hours from the port to our home, turned into an 8+ hour nightmare that could of been avoided had Florida Shuttle Vans simply done what they were hired to do not leave us stranded. As a business owner myself, I know I would be never treat my customers with the apathy we were treated with.

I strongly suggest not using Florida Shuttle Vans for your ground transportation needs, unless you like unreliability and want to experience the frustration of finding last minute transportion in a city you are completely unfamiliar with.

My family recently used Florida Shuttle Vans and we couldn't be happier with the service. We had several pick up and drop off points needed for pre and post cruise and scheduled all the details with the owner, Nick. He was extremely accommodating and his pricing very fair and reasonable. On the way back to our hotel after our cruise, Nick offered suggestions of things to do for the day in Miami and offered to take us to the hotel and see if our room was ready early and if not would hold our luggage for us while we toured around Miami. Our room ended up being ready early, so he waited for us to drop our luggage and freshen up before dropping us off at the beach and then gave us options for pick up times when we were finished! Nick also gave us a tour of the city! We found him to be very friendly and truly went above and beyond. Nick got to at all of our pick ups early and contacted us immediately upon his arrival. I would not hesitate to use this service again!

Booked this shuttle service from the hotel to the cruise port in Miami and communication was on point. He was on time and came with his extra uhaul trailer for all the luggage and my group of 12. Thank you for the ride and I recommend this service.
