I came to leave my review of this epic salon, and I saw the first review from "Capt. Cant Get Her HAIR Right" below. Listen, they are hair stylists, not magicians. And if you were coming in for a correction, then moved on to a 3rd place the next day, thinking your hair was going to be all perfect after taking it on torture tour for a week, well, there is no helping you lady. Just sayin. Learn your hair girl!
Ladies and gents: Give it a week before you go to correct anything. Let that stuff marinate. Otherwise you will be wearing your sad pants like the first review. - Love, the girl who is lazy and barely maintains her hair, but has learned through the years what NOT to do.
ON TO THE REVIEW:
I have been going to Anna Marie for my unruly and weird hair since I discovered her about 4 years ago when I moved to this corner of the country. OH MAN. Who knows what I would look like without this magical lady! She takes her time with you and really gets to know your hair and what it needs. I have a mixture of curly and kinda curly hair, that is super coarse, and I am lazy about it's maintenance. Anna Marie has gotten me nailed and has made my sad frizzy head of locks into this magical mane I literally wash and go with.
I attended the Salon's Grand Opening on June 1st and got to meet not only the reps from the different lines they carry (Cruelty Free, safe and gentle, recommended and supported by the American Cancer Society....WHAT?!?! AWESOME!), and I also got to meet the staff of this great new salon!
Great people makes for a great work environment which means they make my hair great. Its math.
This new salon took over the old one that was in it's place. They totally revamped the whole insides! Y'all, there is glitter in the floor. GLITTER! Not to mention there is plenty of parking, lots of light, friendly staff, amazing products, and people who actually give a crap about your hair, even if you don't.
I cannot recommend this place enough. AND they do facials. AND they do men's cuts and shaves. AND their product line is friggin lux! And cruelty free, and backed by the ACS.
If you got a curly mop, Anna Marie is your go to girl. She also does Ahhhhhhmazing color.
Go check it out. It is definitely worth it. I drive from Portland to go to Anna Marie. I will drive to where ever this girl is at. I went to Anna-Marie for gray hair coloring to blend in my gray/white hairs and I was extremely disappointed with the results. After a 3.5 hour appointment my hair looked 95% identical to when I walked in. My white hair sticks out and is in no way blended with the rest of my hair, which is still very dark.
The last two pictures are what I asked Anne-Marie to do and the first 3 pictures are the result. I don't recommend this place for highlights or coloring.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Caitlyn/Katelyn was the best stylist for my teen daughters. She listened to what they wanted and did a great job. We made our next appointment with her.

I hadn't been in the area for a while and saw a Now Open sign above the window. Decided to swing by and take a look. The salon was virtually empty and all three employees inside were at the front desk. It was a very, very awkward exchange asking for a menu of services. They were short, rude, and uninterested in my business so I left. Really disappointing because the salon looked beautiful, and I love the concept of natural hair treatments. Customer service at beauty salons is very important, many places have a tendency to feel elitist and "for Barbies," and unfortunately, this was my experience here. I regret that I won't be going back.
Response: Hey Karin and thank you for your response to my post. I actually was in the salon on 7/7 around 2pm. The young employees behind the counter certainly did not make my business feel welcome- the young woman with the black framed glasses literally gave me "the look-over" when I walked in without makeup on in my yoga pants. They didnt ask me any questions about my needs or interests. The interaction immediately left a sour taste in my mouth. I would be willing to come visit if I see different front desk employees next time. I hope this post is helpful in developing your new business. I have had such a hard time finding hairstylist who can help me with my extremely thin fine wavy hair. Anna marie did an incredible job. She introduced me to products that were lightweight enough to not leave me greasy but that were really effective. I love my haircut. The whole salon was absolutely beautiful and everyone was so nice.

I waited to report on my first appointment at Fox Adler for awhile afterwards because I know some of you are interested in their Covid precautions. They are excellent! Their pre-appointment interview was as detailed as at my doctor's office. Many of the surfaces were covered and they restrict the number of appointments. I was lucky enough to get an appointment where MJ and I were the only people in the salon. Of course, we wore masks.
Now, to the real review... I'd forgotten what a difference it makes to get a cut by a truly talented stylist! I just get a long blunt cut so I've been going to cheap chains for years. My mom surprised me with a cut and color. It was a great surprise. Anne Marie was excellent and spent time and knowledge on my hair. It was a great experience that was unexpected. She did a gorgeous job!

Completely impressed by my experience at the salon today. I sent an apt request via Yelp and received a response (on Father's Day) in literally 10mins. I was able to schedule an apt online for the next day. My hair was a hot mess coming into the salon and that is no exaggeration. Think of thick, course, damaged, and completely broken hair and then realize it's 10x worse than that smh. My hairs been though it with the bleach damage back to black and having it in a donut bun for two weeks during military training with got to be freeze spray holding it down. Kiana and Anna were able to work their magic and gave me a completely refreshed and healthy short a-line cut that is flattering to my face. Anna also gave me style options which I appreciated. Definitely glad I trusted them to do my hair today!

The people were nice but it took 3 hours to get highlights touched up on my thin, medium length hair. They came out more yellow and darker than my previous highlights but the lady worked super hard on them. I get bad for her. I am just not sure she should have taken my appointment since she was not experienced in highlights. The cost with a cut was $170 and I likely wont return. I would expect to pay that for someone experienced in highlights only. A few days later they called to tell me the owner had been exposed to COVID. They took extra precautions and I have been vaccinated so I am not that worried but still a bummer. At least they called to tell me. I appreciate that.

Hi Melissa! It sounds like we just couldn't make your day, and i'm sorry for that. We are striving to keep our appointments limited to 2 hours or so, but sometimes processing, blow-drying, and styling can add up. Darker hair can be tricky too, and we wanted to make sure your highlights from before blended in with your darker grow-out. We've had clients in the past who, even at 3 hours total time, were happy that we take that little bit of extra time. I'm happy to hear you like the haircut and that you appreciate that we notified you about possible covid exposure. Thank you and be well!

I fried my hair bleaching then dying it blue/green. I had major breakage and scalp burns. I reached out several salons over the weekend and got a quick reply and phone call later had an appointment for today. Ann-Marie helped me out major and cut almost all the fried bits off and gave me a cute razor cut. I definitely will not be processing my hair anymore and will be back for trims and other hair maintenance. Thank you!
