French Nails & Spa

Walked in with a girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon hoping for a mani pedi. Parking is not easy in this area especially on a weekend. There is pay parking underground but only free for the first hour. $63 for gel French manicure and regular pedicure with calluse removal plus tip which was good. I would come again for the quick service and a good job and pricing but definitely make an appointment in advance and keep in mind it might take a while finding parking depending on the day.

I can't rave about this place enough!!! I love coming to French Nails & Spa and my girl Carina has never disappointed with acrylic sets. My sets always last upwards of 5 weeks and look PERFECT (minus grow out but that's expected). Carina pays attention to detail, always nails the shape I ask for, and is able to replicate any inspiration photo I show her. My friend and I have been a regular at this place since the beginning of the year and we can't imagine going anywhere else. I'll be moving soon and am considering making the drive down every month just to have my nails done here. Cannot recommend enough!!

I have always loved this nail salon and after starting to get my nails done again two weeks ago (since the pandemic) and having a good experience, I promptly came back two weeks later for upkeep. Unfortunately my experience today was polar opposite to my experiences in the past. Instead of using acetone to remove the gel polish, the lady who did my nails used a rough nail file and scrubbed my nails so hard to get the polish off that she cracked three of my nails. She did not say anything or try to fix this and just put nail polish on top of them.

Then she was so rough with removing the nail cuticle, even using her bare nails to push my cuticle back and then clipped me really bad on my ring finger where it was still bleeding when I left the appointment. This was concerning because while they're typically really clean with their tools, the tools she used on me did not come out of an autoclave bag as usual, so I do not know if they were clean.

No lotion was used which doesn't really matter to me, but the topper was that she left my nails really abrassive at the top and after asking her to smooth them out a few times, I realized that she was not going to fully correct them so I asked for the file to correct them myself when I got back to my car. I feel awful leaving a bad review, but if I had gone anywhere else and experienced this, I would never be back. I called the business on my way home to make an appointment with someone more gentle in the future and explained the experience. An "I'm sorry" goes a long way but no one ever apologized.... I will give this place one more chance only because of the past positive history but I left really disappointed and frustrated today. I hope I don't end up with a nail infection.

I am visiting family who lives nearby and found this salon via Yelp and decided to visit because the photo results of their acrylic sets look great.

I am so glad I decided to check them out. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement- I am in LOVE with my nails! It has been several years since I have had acrylics so I was a little nervous but Tina did such an awesome job, I'm already planning my journey back down for my next set! (I don't live in SD County)

Nice and quiet salon. At least when I went. There was no loud annoying music which I really appreciate. It was quiet so we could actually communicate.
The only issue was the table and chair set up for getting an acrylic nail fill. My knees kept hitting the table and it made sitting uncomfortable and awkward.
Other than that I will be back!!!

If you need your nails done in Encinitas, COME HERE!! They consistently do an amazing job on every kind of service I've had done here over the last year - acrylics, gels, chrome, everything! They are attentive to detail, have great customer service, and their prices are really affordable for the area. I would recommend calling ahead to see their availability rather than walking in.

Super long acrylics!!
Carina is a Queen when it comes to acrylics! She always kills it! Tram did the stickers and Polish and I was so thankful that she's such a perfectionist. T (Different girl than Tram) did my pedicure and she took her time and was thorough. I only got white gel on my toes and they are perfect so I didn't see a point in taking a picture. But these ladies are amazing and love what they do. They all speak English very well so there's no problems with language barriers if that's a concern for you. Overall 10/10 would recommend.
