Fridas has fantastic food and great service. A great bar to do Tequila shots from all over the world. Their cocktails are legendary and trend all over the internet. It's not a huge place but all the best places aren't. Come hungry the entrees are huge.

This restaurant is a regular spot for us - great service, delicious food, and the best margaritas in Tipp City.
Dining on a budget? Select the 'pick 2' combination platter. Your choice of 2 items (burrito, taco, enchilada, tostada, quesadilla, etc) and both rice and beans. Hungry? The 'pick 3' is just $2 more at $11.
Seeking a healthier option? Try fajitas or the Frida bowl.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 6, 2023Previous reviewLocation: 965 W Main Street, Tipp City Ohio

This is such a great spot in Tipp City.
We stopped back for lunch about a month ago and landed here for dinner tonight.
We were delighted and this is now our go-to for Mexican food.
Salsa? Very nice with the amount of onion and cilantro - assuming you like cilantro.
Margaritas? Excellent. We shared a pitcher of their house margaritas and they were delicious and the right amount of 'potent'.
The food is good.
The service is excellent.
It was a busy Friday night, the parking lot was packed, but this restaurant has a lot of seating and we were seated right away (lucky us).
But honestly, the food and drink are well worth a wait.
Our choices:
House margarita, pitcher - on the rocks.
Plancha Texana
Combination of grilled chicken, steak and shrimp on a bed Spanish rice, topped with pico de gallo and cheese sauce. Served with refried beans, sour cream salad and tortillas.
Chimichanges
Order of two deep fried tortillas filled with your choice of shredded chicken or beef tips, smothered with cheese sauce. Served with Spanish rice, refried beans and sour cream salad.
Both selections were excellent. Great flavor, substantial portions, and I think our food was served in under 10 minutes.
This restaurant is everything a Mexican restaurant hopes to be.
Tips:
1. The menu is large. You'll find your favorites but take some time and consider something new. The descriptions are helpful.
2. Website has online ordering available for carry out
3. Check out their daily drink specials.
4. Guacamole is excellent. Whether table side or standard. We didn't order it this time - but typically do.
5. Don't let a crowded parking lot scare you away. This restaurant has ample seating.Oct 10, 2021Previous reviewLocation: 965 W Main Street, Tipp City OH

Great addition to Tipp City!
Soft opening underway with limited menu and drinks.

Frida's Mexican Kitchen has sprouted up quickly in the building formerly home to Greenfire Bistro, which closed during Covid.
The menu is large and I'm looking forward to trying every page.
Particularly the Mexican Sushi. Who knew that was a thing?
We stopped in for lunch and was delighted with this restaurant and its staff. The food is excellent - my lunch combination had 2 different sauces (1 on the burrito; 1 on the enchilada) - and both were the perfect compliment to the item. The service is excellent. It's hard to believe it's a new restaurant - they are already nailing all the right things. - Apr 20, 2023
My BFF and I stopped in for lunch the other day. She has visited this restaurant before, but it was a first for me. I was impressed with the cleanliness. The decor was bright and cheerful. We were seated at a booth in the bar area. The menu was large, offering many dishes I've never seen offered at other Mexican restaurants ... which was a bonus. Or server was polite and attentive. The chips and salsa were served with our beverages. Our entrees arrived in a timely manner. The food was very good and not greasy...which is a problem I have with some Mexican restaurants. We split a fried ice cream which was huge... But I didn't get a pic of it...which is a shame, because it was really colorful and fun. The prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to bringing my hubby. The only thing I found mildly unenjoyable was the music in the bar area was a bit loud for conversation.

This place is very small and we went with a party of 12 which was our mistake. We were told an hour wait with a party our size it is totally understandable. After a two hour wait my friend had to express his frustration to get us a table. Two of our friends had to sit totally away from us at another table. We asked for water three times and never received them. We ask for extra napkins they gave us five. The food came and my friend ask for two beef chimichangas and he got chicken which he totally hates. They remade his dinner he ask for no rice and no sour cream his remake came with both, keep in mind the rice is in a bowl but still wrong. They brought us complimentary shots at the end which was nice. Food was ok not all the hype Tik Tok made it out to be. Do not take a large party of over 10 you will not be happy.

Cute place in Tipp. Ambience: music was loud when we got there, but shortly after they turned it down to a reasonable level. Service was fine. Drinks were great. Food. That's where it gets dicey. I ordered a dish with chicken. One chicken breast provided about 20 meals as thin as they pounded it. Seriously. I have pounded chicken breasts so that they cook more easily/evenly. I have never pounded to paper thin. Some bites were dry, some were just thin. For the price, I expected a real chicken breast. For the price, I can think of another place closer to home where I get two decent sized pieces in the same dish for the same price. Pico was good. Cheese was watery. We drove 20-30 minutes on the recommendation of my partner's co-worker. Turns out she and her husband go for the drinks.
We likely will not be back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Addie V.OH, OH02Feb 23, 2024

Food wasn't that great service was OK. I would recommend going to the ice cream shop across the street.

I want to be fair and don't like giving bad reviews, but it wouldn't be fair if I'm not honest. Ironic, isn't it? My friend wanted to do Mexican and Frida's was close. I was open to pretty much his suggestions since he's not a US local.
The host took us to a table. He didn't even check to see if the seats were food-free or clean. I then told my friend, "Let's sit here, that seat is dirty." When the host came by with the menu, I said, we'll sit here, that seat is dirty. Oddly, he just said "OK," and went back to browsing on his phone after handing us the menus. I guess mama has him taken care for. (His demeanor had me suggested he's related to the owner.)
I can't recall what I order (sorry I can't locate it on the menu here), being one of the more or most expensive on the menu, had to be decent. When the food came, I was shocked to see that it appeared a college student had cooked that up. Canned hot-dog and processed ham mixed up with some shrimp, other meat. This is what I got for ~$25 really?
I like sour taste in general, but the sourness in this plate was awful. I couldn't finish it, leaving more than half as leftovers.
Oh, the water is also tap, really bad tasting tap. No juice or bottled water, only soda and alcoholic drinks are available. You're out of luck if you don't drink either of them.
The waitress was very nice and attentive though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angela R.Saint Louis, MO99221Jul 20, 2023
I'm from Texas, and I loved this place. The food was fresh and delicious, with interesting options for every Mexican food enthusiast. The margarita flight & the mojito flight (sold separately) were creative, beautifully presented, and darn tasty. I don't recommend getting both flights for two people unless you're experienced drinkers with another ride home, but so tasty! The decor was gorgeous and cohesive. And the service and warm and friendly and well informed. Great experience all around!
