Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants to come and eat at. The food has been amazing each of the 10+ times I've eaten here over the last few years. My favorite go-to meal is an order of butter chicken, garlic naan, gobi manchurian (the chef's favorite dish to cook), and a mango lassi. I always leave with enough leftover for lunch the next day.
You can see the love and attention the owners put into the restaurant and the food. Even though I'm not local to Riverside, I make it a point to drive out there for my Indian food cravings. I'll always be a happy (and well-fed) customer of this wonderful restaurant.
Special thank you to the owners of Gandhi's for the personal recommendations, the delicious food, and the stories you have shared with us. Looking forward to many more to come!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 15, 2024Updated review

Thanks you for your business and kind review
Jul 24, 2022Previous reviewIt had been before the pandemic we were eating often at the Ghandi restaurant with the extensive buffet. We went today for Sunday lunch, they open at 11:00 am.
The place has taken another twist in smaller, classy look. There is no more buffet, but a menu with many delicious choices from chicken, lamb and shrimp to vegetarian a la carte delights.
We ordered and our helpful waiter made good recommendations such as the lamb korma in a very exquisite red cashew sauce!! "You need something with sauce, you are ordering just grilled". We were so happy with his recommendation!
Aman, our waiter, was professional and knowledgeable about the menu. He was gallantly serving us quickly and mostly friendly and patient with us about combining our meal.
Mango tea is refreshing! The naan was fresh and exquisite- try the garlic one!
No one other morsel to be eaten for dessert in our tummies. - Serrano C.Anaheim, CA2359515Apr 3, 2024
I postmates my food and it was over priced and not well portioned. They give alot of the juices on each dish but less the meat. Did not sit well with my stomach h and I eat Indian food alot.

The food is still great, as I said before in my five start review but they must be going out of business. The menu has shrunk, but the prices increased. They got rid of their furniture and some window treatments. The portion sizes now are insulting, especially for regular customers who come in easily spending over $150 a visit and leaving generous tips. We ordered the coconut chicken curry and there were four small bite sized pieces of chicken in the bowl. Not even a full chicken thigh. We order four dishes to share and got one bowl of rice. We also got the naan and it was literally one round cut in half. They're milking all they can out of the last of their loyal customers. The food is great i was actually sad after dinner when I told my date we won't be returning. Mark my word, they'll be gone before 2025.

We found a Indian restaurant but the food is probably around 6 out of 10. Service is probably 6 out of 10 as well. They charge for every little thing for example they charge you for onions and pickle which usually is free in mostly all Indian restaurants as it's considered as condiments.
They have decent portion size but with inflation going up, the portion sizes are becoming less and less. They are definitely on the $$ like any other Indian restaurants. Also for all my vegetarian friends, they have wide variety of vegan and vegetarian friendly dishes.
And don't order curry folks! There is nothing called as curry in India. Our dishes have a name and those names does not mean they are curry.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 2 - Another C.Rancho Cucamonga, CA169100Jul 13, 2023
-Still king of Indian food! Best gulab jamun on the planet.
-ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: male employee (not the owner of course) needs to learn some BASIC COURTESY. Smile, "thank you", etc.
-ALSO: $1.50 for each chutney (only partially filled container) is kinda crazy...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adriana S.Perris, CA1512865Jan 5, 2023
I wish I could give 4.5 stars honestly.
We visited with a pretty large group and they were easily able to accommodate for that. The server was so very knowledgeable and recommended great things. Including this appetizer of cauliflower that was so good I thought it was chicken!! Overall the food was very good!
The portions were a bit smaller than I'm used to though and that's were they lost a star in my eyes. Each dish was pretty pricy and in the end it came to be one of the more expensive casual dinners we had ever had. I understand that meat can be pricy which is why if I had the option I'd give them 4.5 stars. Unfortunately because of the price I most likely won't return as I have a few other Indian restaurants that I like that won't break the bank.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
