Gator Garage Door Repair

Gator is very responsive in fulfilling service requests; and, Technician Kevin did a great job in developing an estimate for new garage door and hardware - highly recommend!!!

Gator was great. They were late showing up to our property, but stayed in communication the whole time. Alex was our technician and he did a great job of explaining all the issues he found and presented several price points to fix them. In the end, he stayed until 9:30pm finishing the work, and left the space neat and tidy. He worked quickly. Definitely recommend!

Cody did an exceptional job for us and saved me $350 by making sure I didn't fix the things another company said I needed. Instead, he fixed the right things and my door works better than it has since we moved into the house. I didn't even realize a garage door was supposed to "float" if operated manually - but am delighted that ours now does. I'm grateful for the honesty, speed, and affordability Gator and Cody provided.

Our experience with Gator Garage Doors was seamless, from beginning to end. Jauna was helpful and honest when she gave us an estimate which was fair. After that the customer service and support with her office was effective and timely and finally today, Pete N installed our beautiful new garage door and motor. He was knowledgeable, polite and professional. He was done with the work in a few hours, working by himself! I highly recommend Gator!

I would like to write a review commending a Gator Garage Door Repair technician, named Steven (apologies, I do not know if he is Steven spelled with a V or Stephen with a PH).

On 6/13 about 8:15 in the morning, my adult daughter was at the Pflugerville Bark Park directly behind our house exercising our 1.5 year old , 60 pound Collie/Aussie mix. One of his favorite activities is playing ball retrieval with a ChuckIt. He does this daily & when he is done, he sits in the shade of a dog park tree, and we know he's ready to go.
Well everything was fine until it wasn't. He caught the ball, sat down--daughter goes to leash him, and she realizes the ball is lodged in his throat. Her first thought was get mom, get him home, we are so close to home. She managed to guide him out of the dog park, but he collapsed in the middle of the road between the park and our house. I hear her piercing screams from our house, "HELP! I NEED HELP!"

I grabbed my phone, ran through the house, down the sidewalk and I see our beloved dog lying lifeless, his tongue was blue. I tried to move him out of the street but he was dead weight, limp, I was shaking violently. My husband was out of town, and my first thought was call the fire department, it is nearby!
I call 911. As we are connecting, the Gator Garage Door truck is approaching us on the road...we frantically wave, hoping for help.

The driver was named Steven--and he leaps out of his vehicle and approaches our dog. I step to the side to try and talk to dispatch. This brave, kind, calm man reaches in our dog's throat and manages to dislodge the very slobbery, cracked tennis ball and give him chest compressions. I saw my dogs eyes go from glassy to wild and wide! I managed to call off emergency responders upon seeing this. Steven saved his life!

A nearby neighbor saw everything and she is a nurse--she ran out in her pajamas to help us, too. My daughter ran and got my car, and the nurse, Steven and I managed to lift our dog into my backseat, and we whisked him off to the vet. I thought about Steven with his hands and arm covered in my dog's trauma, and he was dressed for work with obviously a garage door on his truck headed to someone's house (I hope you weren't too late!)

My dog got checked out by the vet and we were told he was saved at the right time. He was a little shaken and overheated, but he recovered quickly. Our whole family could not be more grateful. We threw out all the tennis balls. We hugged and love on him all day--we'd be hit with waves of tears on and off throughout the day, but mostly we were just grateful.

I'm writing this review because--I am not in the immediate need of Gator Garage Repair's services, BUT I can attest that if they hire the kind of people who stop and render aid to two distressed women and their beloved pet in crisis, I can only imagine they are the kind of employee who cares about doing quality work on a jobsite. I did call the business later after our situation had calmed down so I could convey my thanks to them.. I hope Steven wasn't terribly late to where he was going, and I hope that he was able to recover from our adrenaline-inducing situation.

I told everyone I know about this --partly because the least I can do is share that this business hires caring employees. The lady on the phone who I talked to (I think she said Savannah?) was just as emotional as I was, so glad her tech could help us in our time of need.

New motor works great, but now I have to repaint the garage wall where they put a sticker without asking.

Excellent fast service and very knowledgeable more pricey than I expected but wasn't sure of best solution their recommendations made sense and work terrific!

Craig was awesome - professional, friendly, communicative. He sorted out my issue (recall on specific wall switch I had) quickly and with ease. Other 5 star noteworthy mentions: he called approximately 30 minutes before he arrived to ensure the time was still convenient for me and I also received a text with his name, contact info, and photo. As a woman who lives alone, this was extra appreciated. Thanks for the excellent service!

Would highly recommend. Very responsive to my request and they were out the same day as my submission. Fixed the spring and reinforce the door connection and lubed up everything. Works smooth and perfect. Cost was reasonable. The best part was Cody M.! He was timely, courteous, helpful and professional. If I ever need service I will be calling back and asking for him. Nothing but good things to say about the experience and Cody!

Highly recommend this company! My garage door was not opening and the motor was going out. Before discovering that (bc of course it was fine when Rene first arrived) Rene pointed out some potential future issues and offered some ideas to make it open more quietly. Since we needed a new motor I added in the rollers to quiet the opening and it is SO quiet now. Will my cats get scared of the door and run into the house when we need them to? Haven't tried that yet. That might be the only downside. Rene was GREAT and I appreciated the explanations on how the new system works. I also liked that they texted me his name and pic before he arrived.
