I've heard some good things about this spot so on a Thursday afternoon I decided to try it out. First let me start off by saying I absolutely love Carribean food and it's often a challenge to find Really good Carribean food in the surrounding areas. I've decide for this review to break it down into Pros and Cons.
First up the Pros!
Pros:
Upon arrival I was impressed with the neighborhood. It was quite and plenty of parking nearby. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by a nice warm welcome from the employee behind the bar who was also seating, serving and ringing up customers.. (a multitasker!)
I called ahead for carry out. After he greeted me he immediately told me he would go get my food. While waiting I looked around at the nice cozy atmosphere while reggae plays in the back.
I will fast forward to the taste of the food. I ordered the Curry and Jerk mix with vegetables.
Cons:
To my surprise my food total was $17!! I only ordered a chicken mix with Vegetables. I asked for a small and he said they only had a medium. I was ok with that. However for $17 it should've been a really hefty plate.
I even asked him if the price was correct and he said yes. I replied with ok and decided to give it a shot thinking it must be a lot of food and I thought well I'll have left overs for later.
Well.. I posted the picture and I was disappointed in the lack of food for the price.
The curry chicken was seasoned very well however, the jerk season lacked spice. Carribean jerk usually has a spicy kick to it and it wasn't spicy at all but more like s
I will say this, I believe in second chances. I will give this spot another shot and order something different on the menu!Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0Business owner information

The curry chicken was seasoned very well however, the jerk season lacked spice. Carribean jerk usually has a spicy kick to it and it wasn't spicy at all but more like sweet.
The chicken also had a lot of bones in it. I would prefer to enjoy my food without constantly picking out bones in between chews.
I will say this, I believe in second chances. I will give this spot another shot and order something different on the menu.
Perhaps next time I'll visit during Happy Hour and and enjoy the cocktail specials while I try a new dish. - May 7, 2018
Sooooo! James is awesome! Every experience is made better by great customer service and he is leading the way!
We started our visit with a taste testing of the curry goat, brown stew chicken and curry chicken. The goat! Spicy in the best way! Brown stew! Full of flavor! Curry chicken was so savory! That was just off a taste!
I ordered the Jerk chicken (white). It's a spicy sauce with a hint of sweetness. The cabbage was tasty and i also ordered a side of Mac and Cheese that was seasoned well and cheesy.
Ample parking, great customer service and tasty dishes make this a great lunch or dinner spot to visit with friends!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I'm still fairly new to Baltimore, but Get It Inn is the closest Island food that I've had here that reminds me of Florida. First, shoutout to the music selection they have playing because it hits everytime.
I had the oxtails and they were super good. Portions were great, had enough to take home. I got the rice and peas and Mac and cheese for my sides. It comes with plantains but I've never been a fan so I gave them to my friends I was there with because they love them.
My friends also had the rum punch and enjoyed it. I wasn't drinking that night. Our server was funny and super friendly so shout out to her.
Great flavor, great seasoning, and worth the money. Shoutout to them recently opening their second location in Baltimore. I will definitely be back!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I came here for happy hour with some friends. Its on the corner of a rather busy street where parking could be a hit or miss. For it to be young in business I was very pleased with the service and food. I'm not typically crazy about Jamaican food, but even I could appreciate the quality. They have drink specials and a ton of signature Caribbean dishes. There is limited table seating throughout the downstairs area, but the place is cozy and comfortable for parties no larger than 5 (unless you want to sit near the bathrooms). The bar area seemed to be popular for many people as well. There is another area upstairs--I never got confirmation on what's up there. The only reason I rated the restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 is because the portions are a tad small for the cost on some of the dishes (curry chicken). I look forward to coming again and trying some other dishes.

Jan 26, 2018Previous reviewI came here with a group of friends on a Friday afternoon for lunch.
We had been regulars at Sweet Caroline's and wanted to check out the all new revamped Get it Inn Bar - the newest Jamaican spot in Locust Point.
I have to be honest, I was pretty skeptical of the place when I first heard about it but once I actually came for a visit all my doubts were dispelled
When you first walk in - you hear reggae music and that immediately puts you at ease. If you want to change the music, there is a jukebox- so feel free to pick out one of your fave songs and groove to the beat.
The food is great. I got the vegan rasta pasta and asked for it to be spicy - and they definitely delivered. It had all the right flavors and was creamy. There was more than enough, for me to take some to go. My friends got the curry chicken, jerk chicken and goat curry and there were absolutely no complaints. The food here is very good. They even have a lunch special which allows you to get some of their most savory dishes for $7. Total win. Their drinks are also amazing - they do not skimp out on the alcohol! One drink takes you to a good place.
My only minor complaint is the service. The service is questionable. Our waiter totally missed one of our friend's order and had to come back and have her repeat her order. They also brought out our orders sporadically - which made some of us sit in front of our dish and patiently wait for others to receive their' s. Patience is a virtue.
The bottom line here is - the food is great, the drinks are great. And for that reason, I will definitely come back! - Dec 18, 2017
This place is really legit, i dropped by on Sat when it just opened, James the owner was fantastic and we chatted it up over the delicious rum punch. Now, let me say this that thing was strong, potent and delicious. All you need is one. Now the food, since i like to sample a cross section of the menu i had some spicy beef patties, a special jerk pork and ribs, and curry chicken. All three were delicious, but what i noticed was the jerk pork which was amazing. I cant wait to try it out again. Check them out, and yes that will be a Jamaican Restaurant in Locust Point.
Also to point something out the jerk skewed more on the sweeter side, i hope they can make it hotter.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Great island food and music. The rum punch reminds me of the islands. The owners James and Cassie are great as well is the bartender Sam. I'll be sure to keep this place in the rotation as one of my favorites. Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4 - 7 and include buy one get one on all liquor. Beer is $1 off, the rum punch is always $5. Don't miss out in this neighborhood gem!

Stopped in for lunch after seeing (and smelling! The smoker is outside) this place on a walk. Got the quarter dark meat jerk chicken smoked bone in and with amazing jerk sauce plus sautéed veggies, rice and peas, and plantains... loved it! Absolutely delicious.
The restaurant/bar itself is cozy, clean, and great ambiance with the best music playing. Our waiter/bartender was great, too. Made me feel as if it weren't 30 degrees outside.
Will definitely be returning to try more!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Been Vegan for About 2 years now and this restaurant has the best Vegan Rasta Pasta I've ever had. Can't say this enough; no spot in NJ or NYC can top their Vegan Rasta Pasta. I'll be back soon for more! Good Vibe in here as well.

Excellent curry and oxtail. I haven't tried the jerk yet surprisingly mostly I'm afraid because so many use Walker wood sauce. Drinks were awesome as well. I only have 1 issue ... Gotta pay to be DJ! Other than that ... It's best Island bar I've been to and will return.
Awesome place Management is very receptive to positive feedback. Finally tried Jerk ... Fire! And we have ISLAND SOUND while you wait. It's officially my favorite Island venue.
Forever smitten by Island Culture thanks Uncle Big'em!! Thank you Management for playing Island Sounds and making good jerk. You all rock and thanks again. All is missing is a BASHMENT party upstairs for the "old people them" love grinding, bass, good sound, wall slapping party.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information
