We stopped by Giggling Squid for dinner when passing through Marlow.
The environment is a bit if upscale casual, and they had quite a bit if seating available.
The service and food were both fairly quick, and was extremely delicious.
One thing to note is that they do have very low ceilings. They indicate they're as low as 5'6" on the ground floor, and 5'2" on the toilets entrance on the first floor, so it does require that you duck your head getting around.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Agi K.London, United Kingdom14137135Dec 31, 2017
Another restaurant with a great name!
The atmosphere and decor were nice. Just what I would have wanted.
Sadly the food was woefully inadequate. At least 3 members of my group were feeling unwell by the end. This however was not the worst of it - of a group of six people all but one got served their food. There was one lady who sat whilst everyone received and ate their food. They even finished and were having plates cleared and her food had still not been delivered - despite two reminders on our part. The service was a let down.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim C.Leuchars, United Kingdom4135Apr 14, 2017
We had dinner on a Thursday night before the Easter weekend; the restaurant was full which we thought was a good sign. Unfortunately, the number of people eating turned out to be the downfall.
The back-of-house staff are evidently extremely competent as the food was very enjoyable. The massaman curry was excellent; however, it took the staff 20 minutes to even take our order, including drinks. The starter then arrived before our aperitif and the wine didn't even pitch up until we had started our main. From sitting down, we waited 35 minutes before receiving anything and, after finishing our starter, a further 45 minutes was spent waiting for the main.
The icing on the cake was a bill (25 minutes in the making) that included a 10% service charge! Goodness knows what they would expect if the service was remotely acceptable....
We will not be eating here again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ed P.Ashford, London, United Kingdom452Dec 18, 2017
Over the past year, I have been there a few times with colleagues from Europe.
It's certainly one the best places for Thai food around there, and the overall environment is pleasant. A bit more upscale than casual pub with very low ceilings which add charm to the overall place.
The only reason I would not give 5 starts is because on couple occasions their service was a bit too slow and they mixed up our orders.
Other than that is a great place to have a group dinner.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dawn W.Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom03Oct 27, 2018

After traveling in England and having our fair share of pub food it was a very pleasant surprise to find this restaurant. The flavors were tasty. Food was served hot and quickly and all our dishes were fresh and very good. We try to eat healthy so that can be difficult to find in the countryside so we were happy to find this place.
Very good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dom T.Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom022Jun 7, 2014First to Review
The service here is amazing, and the food excellent. The expansive menu provides a large range of authentic Thai food, with something to suit every palette.
You have to try the salt and pepper squid, and for a tasty main give the honey duck a go: it practically melts in the mouth!
The Giggling Squid has a great atmosphere, and is close to the centre of Marlow too. A must-try!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James S.Long Beach, CA267Nov 10, 2014
Probably the best Thai food that I have ever had the privilege of eating in the UK. The staff were friendly and polite and the restaurant decor and surroundings stylish and very clean and tidy. The food was really well priced and freakin delicious, we had the set tapas menu and it was amazing, the dumplings and chilli Squid were out of this world. The curry and sticky rice were perfect, we'll be looking forward to our next visit.

This was an absolutely awesome find. The seasoning and spices were extraordinary--probably one of the top 3 Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at and I travel everywhere. Appetizers were spectacular, mains were truly exceptional. I had a seafood main in red curry and coconut which was amazing. The coconut rice was also really good. We had a party of 10 and everyone raved about the food. The bill was also pretty reasonable....you have to check this one out!
