This is a great option for a quick sushi stop. Located on Biscayne and 52nd St, parking available just in front of the restaurant. This place is really small with about 4 tables inside and a couple of tables outside. I hadn't been here in a while and it looks like they have done some remodeling at least for the counter. They also have origami decorations all over which helps with the ambience.
The menu is extensive and prices are not high but don't expect real plates or silverware since everything they use is disposable. We ordered the veggie, spicy tuna and shrimp rolls and all of them were good. My favorite was the tuna roll with a nice presentation and great flavor.
The lady at the front was nice and welcoming and our order came out pretty quickly even though there were other customers. This is also a great option for take out if you don't want to eat there.
I would like to go back to try other rolls and hot plates!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alafia107 Z.Miami, FL32170322Nov 8, 2022Updated review
I have been a loyal customer of GO TO SUSHI dor over 10 years and it deeply saddens me to say that this business has lost this patron FOREVER!!
To he clear, the young Chilean lady who works the register is beyond unpleasant and rude. For example, they now charge 25 cents what should be free spicy mayo, as they use to. I had no idea about this change so when I was charged I questioned the new fee. Well, Miss Rudeness almost bit my head off.
Long story short, I left me food and didn't even eat.
THIS IS NOW A PLACE I WARN PEOPLE ABOUT!
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR SUSHI!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Jul 30, 2019Previous reviewLet me update my rating just make sure folks know that Go-To has a faithful following. I therefore reiterate, the food is delicious, ample portions, friendly service, and there's Alex, who works in the afternoons, and gives the best recommendations when customers aren't sure what to order from the elaborate menu. You go, Go-To Sushi‼
Jun 26, 2017Previous reviewGo To Sushi is pretty awesome. The service is always friendly and very professional. The food is fresh and flavorful. Finally, though I usually eat in, I frequently order for delivery, and never have I had a problem with an order, regardless of how big or small they have been.

A friend took me here for lunch and we had a really nice time. It's very small but the service is great. We shared a breeze platter. It has an assortment of about 6 different rolls. Ask for eel sauce on the side since you only get soy sauce. Perfect place to stop on your way downtown or the surrounding areas.

I can't believe it's taken us 10 years to try this place!? Just down the street from us on the upper Eastside! Authentic and simple, obvi Asian owned which is hard to find in Miami. Classic Japanese go-to izakaya dishes and even some Korean options, which is common. This will definitely be our Go To Sushi moving forward!

Love this place for a quick sushi bite. The quality o the sushi isn't the greatest but it's like a fast food sushi place you get what you pay for sort of deal nonetheless the sushi is always fresh and the place is always super clean. Staff is very friendly and even post pandemic current inflation situation the prices are very reasonable for the sushi. I always get the Sakura combo and it's my favorite because it's got a bit of everything. Salmon, tuna, Cali roll and I always substitute the imitation crab for avocado and never have any issues!

Ordered Beef Gyudon $8.50 and it was the worst I've ever tasted. You couldn't possibly make something worst than this being blind deaf and dumb and why it's on the menu is beyond me. Why they even sell it to the public is a complete joke.
The beef tasted freezer burned and was dryer than a thin sheet of cardboard. Don't order this unless you're in the mood to see what unseasoned, dried out beef that's at least 6 months old tastes like.
I didn't try the sushi so maybe it'd be a better choice but being that this particular dish was so far from acceptable, I'm definitely not running back here to try anything else.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 17, 2018
Go to Sushi is a mainstay in 500 block section on Biscayne Blvd. It's one of my favorite spots for Sushi. American and Japanese standards like Gyoza, JB Roll, Dragon Roll, Shumai and Miso Soup round out the menu. This small joint located in a strip mall with neighbors like, The Best Dry Cleanerd in Miami and a Dunkin Donuts never fails to satisfy that Sushi craving.
Other items you don't see too often are: Baked/Fried Fish Cake and Fried Baby Octopus. Hot items include Teriyaki Shrimp, Chicken Boxes and many more. The Don Bowls are absolutely delicious. The Gunkan and Alaska are my favorite Nigiris. Green Tea Ice Cream and Fried Cheese Cake Roll are among the desert offerings. GoTo has a very friendly staff and they are very accommodating.
Stop by you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lindsay C.Atlanta, GA082Feb 8, 2023
I had a to go order. They didn't give me the correct sauces nor did they actually fill them up. The food was not fresh. All my sushi rolls weren't even rolled up. They were all open and falling apart.

I come here a lot because it's only 6 minutes away from me. I popped in for lunch today and asked to be served today while these 2 cashiers are just standing on their phones. I understand that during lunch, it may be slow or whatever the case, but it's not cool to be on a phone in the front of a business. Don't get me wrong, this place A+ for their good tasting sushi and bowls for half the price, but this whole service thing kind of sucked today. My best advice is just to order food to take out. Don't try to sit and dine in.

You wouldn't think this place had good sushi since it's right next door to a liquor store and it's hidden inside a small shopping plaza off of Biscayne. When I tell you this is the best sushi place I've been in Miami, it is!!!! I go to ALOT of sushi restaurants in Miami and no other restaurant can top the prices and the taste of this fresh sushi! When I ordered , the cashier was so nice and accommodating. He answered all my questions about the rice and the freshness of the fish and what he recommends. You guys definitely need to try this hole in the wall!
