Had an incredibly positive experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported.
The highlight of my experience was definitely the instructor(Sunny). He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about teaching. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any questions I had.
He went above and beyond to ensure that I fully understood the material and was prepared for my CDL exam. He was always available to answer my questions and provide extra help when needed. His dedication and passion for teaching were truly inspiring.
Overall, I highly recommend this trucking school to anyone looking to pursue a career in this industry. The education I received was invaluable. Thanks to them, I feel confident and prepared to begin my career as a truck driver.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rocky M.San Francisco, CA0217Mar 21, 2021Updated review
Up date. Everyone has an agenda. Some come here and others go elsewhere. I came to this school. But I didn't come to be a driver for a company. I had a dream to own my own business. Thank you! Gobind Truck Driving School.

I went to a least 4 different schools to see what it would cost to enrol, all but one, were very expensive, and you only get so many hours to practice and a maximum of two trys performance and over the road. This school gives you as much time as you need to pass the test even if it takes you 3× to get your license, which it shouldn't! Worst case scenario, even if you didn't pass all 3× you still keep going to school you only pay to use the truck. "NO SCHOOL DOES THAT " I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants there CDL..........

This company will go above and beyond in making sure you get our Class A license and pass your test.
Example: I have a test this week and the owner Taj got up at 3:30 am and we drove to the DMV and practiced backing and driving prior to my test at 8:am (who does that). They don't put you on a schedule like other companies that I checked with require you to schedule your times, at GTS you have the freedom to practice your inspection and driving anytime from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm every day! This company is by far the best company for the money in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aleksandar S.Edgewater Beach, Chicago, IL221Dec 12, 2021
STAY AWAY!! This is banana "company" who's doesn't respect potential customers and their time. I called Paj (owner I guess) and made deal with him. So Next day I was on my way up (coming 45 miles from south) and traffic was heavy I've try to reach them in advance (hour an a half) to let them know that I'll can be there 30 min later then appointment or to reschedule but nobody answer my calls and text. I show up 25min after appointment, few min before 6pm(still their work hours) and of course no one was there. I got call 3 hours later from Paj then he was apologized, tried to explain that he was busy. I get that and he invited me to come any other day during their working hours. So I stopped today again and his little brother Sunny comes to me and ask me about situation from last night and told me that he doesn't had any missed calls and texts. I just showed them from my phone (I wasn't be rude at all) and then he said "I can't teach you, you're rude to me". Big bullshit, acting like little kid.
DONT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - J W.Los Angeles, CA03510Jul 24, 2018
This is a school offering for cheaper price for training until you pass the test but the scape available for your skill practice is very limited (it's a parking lot ) the truck is very old. Just one truck for all students.
Instructor never on site, so if you are new.. you just wait for senior students to give you a chance or to teach...
insists to pay only cash.. which you will not get back!!
Instructor is never ever present at location.. you will have to learn from senior students (what are you paying for!!!!)
Huge language barrier, since the instructor can't speak English words accurately (nothing racist here) but it's true and easily gets pissed !!
Classes are never on time.. there is no proper schedule... could be a better school but sadly these are the bad cons which makes this school worthless...I wasted some money here !!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Herb J.Newhall, CA132513May 23, 2021

This school has trucks that are easier to pass the DMV test with than many of the competing schools in the area for those interested in getting a class A license with a manual transmission truck. They also offer training and provide automatic trucks to practice and test with for those who don't mind getting a class A with a restriction for automatic transmission only. The trucks they offer have 28 foot flat bed trailers. Just be advised that they don't have any restrooms or porta potty on site at neither the Sylmar location nor the Lancaster location so if you need to go to the bathroom during training you'll need to drive to a local restaurant or gas station for that. Also, at the Sylmar training yard, they have quite a few 53 foot dry van semi trucks parked there that licensed drivers use to drive in and out of the lot. Unfortunately these drivers like to park their trucks in the only area where Gobind students are allowed to practice their parking maneuvers. These truckers park the trucks there and park their personal cars, check the truck tires, chat with other drivers etc not caring that because of them, the Gobind students have to lose time out of their half hour of parking practice time per day waiting for the trucks to move and then it's the next student's turn to practice regardless of how much or how little actual practice time each student gets per day. The Gobind instructor makes the students wait for the licensed truckers until they decide to move and makes them move out of the truckers' way immediately if a student is ever blocking a trucker from getting in or out of the lot. Regarding the pretrip walkaround practice, they do have a old truck that's always parked at the Sylmar location for students to practice locating and identifying the truck's components, but under the hood of that truck looks different than the truck you would be testing with at DMV. They do provide a nice study guide with color pictures of some components and descriptions of what to say during the test and it's in a plastic folder so the pages stay clean. The Sylmar location is only offering parking maneuver skills training, so to get trained on driving the truck on the road, you would need to travel to Lancaster each time, and then if students are taking their test the truck becomes unavailable for driving practice for a hour and a half to 2 hours for each student's test. (There is one manual truck and one automatic truck at both Sylmar and Lancaster locations). Once you get in the truck with the school's owner in Lancaster for the road skills (driving) training, he is almost always on the phone talking or playing loud music during the 20 to 30 minutes that you would be driving on the road until it's the next student's turn, so don't expect to get much opportunity to ask him questions. In both Sylmar and Lancaster, there is 1 instructor for 5 to 10 students at a time. They do start early in the morning in Sylmar though, so starting training at 5:30am is often a option and the trailers have bright lights which make it easy to see the cones and reference points when it's still dark in the mornings (sometimes the trucks become available at 6:00). Competing schools in the area usually start training later in the morning. At Lancaster, training starts closer to 8:00am. Sylmar parking maneuver training is also available on the weekends. In summary, Gobind Trucking School is a okay school to go to, but other schools in the area offer restrooms for the students, training for both parking maneuvers and road driving skills near the same location such as Sun Valley or Granada Hills for example without having to drive all the way to Lancaster and wait for tests to finish, and training lots that aren't frequently being blocked during the students' parking maneuver skills training time for those who don't mind learning with more difficult (albeit more realistic for what you will probably drive on the job) manual transmission trucks and 28 foot dry van trailers at most competitor schools in the area.

If you really like to have a cdl truck driver license. Do yourself a favor. Do not go anywhere else. Hand on training, one on one, knowledgeable instructor, that actually spend time with you. They will work around your job schedule. And the cost is better than many truck driving school. I know ! I compared companies prices. And attend some schools.
And many could not compare. It took me a year, because of job schedule. but they encourage me and inspired me, even when I didn't believe in myself, to have one
