Visited this location over the weekend while visiting Frederick, MD. I don't know if it's just a thing for this area or Maryland as a whole, but they don't have dressing rooms. None, nada, and it's a good three + years post Covid!
For that reason, I only glanced thru the clothing as I am hard to fit. Prices were all over the place. New with tags items I purchased (knowing for sure they would fit) was a long cardigan from Kohl's for $3.99 and new w/ tags Old Navy jeans for $6.99, yet a velvet like top I was eyeing up, that obviously was well loved as the label was very faded was $6.99!
I came mainly for hardgoods and kids toys. Kids toy selection wasn't as vast as other locations, the art selection was also pretty light. Housewares were plentiful, but pricing was high. Some items were higher than the original price tags from the Dollar General! I was shocked at the pricing for the small appliances. Crock pots with cracks and baked on grease for $19.99, some as high as $29.99, and electric skillets missing their cords for the same price.
Overall the place was clean and the clothing was pretty well organized. The hardgoods racks are a mess, especially since the switch to the black wired shelving. Employees were friendly but if transgender and gender bender people bother you best to stay away as the cashier was very much so.
Bring your own bags and they get fined if they give you plastic. Be prepared to take a risk on clothing since there is no dressing rooms (but they do have a 7 day return policy!), and do check the color of the week on the sign at the door for 50% savings.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 17, 2019First to Review
Located in a quiet strip mall with Safeway on the opposit end, this Goodwill is just "okay."
Limited stock, messy, poorly organized, and not much available. I would not really go out of my way to come here. They had a 50% off purple-stickered items, but still nothing of significance to me. There are far bigger and far better Goodwill locations. Seen better!Helpful 78Thanks 0Love this 50Oh no 0 - Cora M.Keedysville, MD30101Jun 19, 2021
A friend who lives near this Goodwill had been keeping me informed about this Singer sewing machine so I could get over to buy it...here's the story.
This is what happens to your family heirloom if it doesn't sell in a few weeks. Singer 201 is the best straight stitch Singer ever made, 1947 with drawers full of bobbins and attachments. The machine had some minor issues, easily remedied by the average person. Price was dropping every week or so. $50 Thursday evening to trash Friday morning. Machine shown in the pic was still not offered for sale and is now in the dumpster. It was still salvageable but my friend was not allowed to take it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
