The people that collect the donations should at least be trained to say thank you . No acknowledgement , kind of rude.

I don't expect to see a thrift store set up like Macys but could you please give us sanitary conditions to shop in? This was utterly disgusting! First photo shows the filthy floors that occur in most isles by the way that dont look like they were ever washed. The second photo is they have for sale for us a used toilet brush! Are you freaking kidding me??? For 1.99!!!! What???? Third photo is a torn up purse. I didn't even touch it to look at the price yuck! Throw this nasty unhygienic stuff out for real dudes especially the used toilet brush. Fricking disgusting. And don't even get me going on how they price this crap! I'm never coming back to this one that's for sure!! Since there's not an option for zero stars due to the disgustingness it's a one.

Was going to buy some items cashier took one of them to the back came out with some unidentified dude who told me the item was priced wrong and it's $6.00 higher. I told him he was the one who priced it wrong not my problem. He said the items not for sale. So I left everything. What an A hole, all the stuff they sell was free to them. Never going back there again. Goodwil is a complete scam any way. Do some research you'll see why.

I have been going here for years, but in the past two or so things have gone downhill.

      1 stained curtain panel, 8$.
Items with the original store tag on it priced 2$, Goodwill priced it 4$.

If looking for clothing, you have to be prepared to spend hours, because all shoes and clothes are sorted by color, not size.
Honestly it's gotten to a point where savers is cheaper and easier to shop in than goodwill. I remember being actually able to find good deals. Whenever I have come lately, I usually only find one or two items that I can use. I wish I could give a better review, but it is what it is.

      Typical over priced donated good

Need 7.00 half burnt yankee candles .... they got you

Need 18.00 pre worn Levi's jeans shaped to someone else's ass ... they got you

Need 12.00 used waffle makers with batter still crusted to it ... they got you

New at Walmart for same prices as used here...

Idk the days of real thrift stores
      in Connecticut are gone

This store is very close to where I live so I finally went down to look for some pants for my youngest daughter.
I was very impressed with the immense volume of clothing they cram into such a small store. The clothing is all organized by color so while it is very pleasing to the OCD eye to see all the red shirts together and all the blue shirts together, it really is a pain to try to find the size you need. I was able, though, to find some really great items.
All of the aisles are extremely close together in this store also, I'm assuming because it is not a very large store. It is very easy to get boxed into an aisle and have to just wait it out for a few minutes when people move out of the way.
There is not a lot in the way of toys here. I was able to spy a few aisles of housewares and some furniture but not too much as far as simple toys go.
The one thing that really upset me on this trip was a conversation I overheard between an employee and a customer. The customer was telling the employee that she had found a dress there the previous day and had returned to purchase it. The employee told her it might not be there because things sell very quickly. The customer told the employee she understood and asked if he would keep his eyes open for her. At that moment the employee stated

"Well, I don't get paid to look for things"

That is the worst thing to say to a customer and I don't appreciate hearing it.

I am done with Goodwill. All locations. This is where the final straw broke my proverbial camel's back.

Not only did I recently learn that Goodwill is essentially a non-tax paying, for-profit corporation that lines the pockets of its executives with wealth (not intrinsically deplorable, but deplorable to do so in the non-profit sector) by reselling the old crap that you give them for free, they've also become ULTRA picky about the crap they're willing to take from you.

Goodwill doesn't take mattresses anymore. They don't take ANYTHING a baby could use (because you know, small children aren't a high need/high risk population or anything), they don't take tube TVs! I know, it's old technology, but you'd rather me send it to the landfill than take the off chance that some poor bastard might want it for $5?

It walks and talks like a duck. They don't want these things because of liability and their profit structure. Clothes and shoes sell, furniture sells, dishes sell. When their OWN WEBSITE states "recycling is costly" as an excuse for not taking tube televisions, you know they only care about one thing... money, not people.

Oh, and by the way, I call BULLSHIT. Recycling of electronics is FREE at every transfer station I've ever been to. How dare they abuse the environmentalist flag as a boondoggle for their profit structure.

Sorry, but I'm going with Savers from here on out. Yeah, they throw up a veil of their own, but at least they're a self-admitted for-profit venture, and they pay taxes.

Love Goodwill. The organization is great. The selection is usually wonderful and just can't beat the prices. Name brands in excellent condition and the personnel are extremely helpful.

This store is nice than some but it would be nice if they would have a place for the lazy customers to put their carts when they dont feel like pushing them back or have a employee go check for carts that are left behind the parking lot is not flat and the carts come right down at parked cars not fair to customers to have to worry about car while shopping
