Goodwill Store and Donation Center

This location is one of my favorites. Having a five year old that outgrows his clothing every few months, I've given up on the idea of shopping the big name stores.

I was able to pick up four pairs of jeans and a tee shirt all for $14! On the day I went in, the things marked with a yellow tag were 50% off. I scored extra savings on three pieces.

While the clothes aren't always arranged by size, they are usually neatly hung in the right category. If you're willing to spend the time you could find some amazing deals. I find a lot of items with the original store tags still attached.

There are 6-8 aisles of miscellaneous housewares and a huge selection of books and DVDs. Neither of which are in alphabetical order, so if you're looking for something specific, give yourself some time.

They take cash & credit cards here. Remember to round up (donate your change)!

I was extremely impressed by the selection at this Goodwill. In particular, they had an AMPLE supply of clothing, small kitchen goods, as well as artwork. The furniture selection was a bit limited, but that was not the primary reason why I was visiting this particular time. They also randomly had a few office supplies (envelopes, binder clips, etc) that I happened to need. Glad I was able to pick up all here!

I have no problem with shopping here, but the man who accepted our items was incredibly rude and made multiple rude comments to us. He complained that we brought a car full of items and said that the reason people bring stuff is because "No one in this town works." It was a very unpleasant experience and I don't think we will return here any more.

The store is okay. SOME of the employees are rude, except for Mireya is the best worker there. Best cashier. Nicest employee around.

Not impressed with this location. My husband and I wanted to donate a dresser that was in good condition. The young man at door said they needed to look at it before they would accept which was not a problem. A gentleman came out looked in the back of our truck and said he could NOT accept the dresser. He didn't even look at it!!!!!! I will never go to this location again. He was rude and dry.

Although this Goodwill tends to be over priced I still love it. It's never as picked over as many other Goodwills in the CT area. It's great for hunting and usually has some great treasures to be found for your efforts.

Dropped off 5 bags/boxes this morning and as usual I was met by a young lady who neither welcomed us or even said thank you.....guess I will be going to Savers from now on....they help you with the packages and are very appreciative.
