Gourmet Strudel & Cafe

LOOKS GOOD ! We stopped by this tiny shop on Saturday. A woman presumedly the owner told us she makes all the chocolates but not the vegan ones. My wife thought I might like to buy an Apple Strudel but after asking the owner it was not the variety that appealed to me. WORTH A LOOK !

I ised to work inside Bella Terra ten years ago and always wanted to stop in but never had the chance too... Its a tiny little bakery inside Old World village, its small and cute, the woman working here was really nice.
She even let my dog come inside to bask in the ambiance of the fresh baked strudels.
The strudels are made FRESH, will definitely come back again!
We bought 6 of the apple strudel, blueberry and a strawberry croissant, along with some caramel pecan chocolates and s'mores...
I shared all of these with my family and every one loved it!! We do not like American desserts because its tooooooo sweet but these I was told are more "European sweet" and honestly, the best strudels in SoCal! I did have some with vanilla ice cream, and I dont regret it!

The Apple strudel (fresh off the oven) and croissants are absolutely worth the hour drive. The lady at the counter is friendly and bakes the strudel herself.

It's delicious delicious delicious!! You are missing out ! On some home made ! Desserts ! The dark chocolate peanut butter cups awesome !! The 70% percent dark chocolate ! Delicious!

You just don't understand Strudel and it's magical properties ! These delicious planks of goodness with the warm center, light crispy outside and gentle scent of apple magical goodness aroma out of the wardrobe of the Land of Narnia tickles your soul like an old time warner brothers cartoon seducing you into the shop. LMAO.. OK. but seriously this place is incredibly good. Unfortunately I don't have more pictures because my family and I ate everything. What's good? Everything ! and I was a bit hesitant when the lady behind the counter said that it would keep in the freezer but I tried it and holy cow.. It really did. The strudel was just as flavorful, tender and delicious as the first day I bought it. Look.. I'll put it to you this way.. GO in there if you have questions.. just ask.. she will direct you to your hearts desire LOL.. It worked for me.. 200.00 later but.. My heart was happy ! OH.. and there are sugar free options for certain things. You CANNOT tell it's sugarless either.. we tried.

FYI after purchasing everything we were a hit at the bar and with local vendors..( the tupperware ladies near the store) they inquired where we got it so I'm sure they went over and purchased some goodies as well.

Best apple strudel!!! Come here and get the most flavorful, flaky, tasty, and best strudel around. You won't regret it.

My mother is of european descent, and loves this place! I live in oc, and when I visit my parents, they always ask me to pick up the Apple strudel from here. I like it too, but not as much as the other sweets they have, especially the toffee. 10/10, I can't say enough good about the sweets here.

I took my Mom (who is from Germany) here for the strudel. Mom said that it is great and reminds her of the strudel in Vienna, Austria.

Gourmet Strudel is everyday fresh with fresh fruit.
It is good.

I can't believe I waited so long to review this place. Once I found out that my hotel was near this cute little European town I pulled up Yelp and was immediately drawn to this place. This was still in the middle of Covid, and the shopping center was still very quiet. The owner was out actually patronizing another store. So we had to come back as it was temporary closed. That said it was well worth the wait. The proprietor of the shop was super friendly. Took us through all her products including the delicious strudel. We found a local coffee shop close by and went to town on that bad boy. Man it was worth the calories. Believe me. If you're ever in the OC go check this place out. Assuming you're a strudel fan you're gonna love it. There's also some other cool candies and confections there too. Definitely worth checking out and strudels not your thing
