I am currently walking around my house repeatedly picking at what is to be my dinner later on, while speaking aloud over and over, "this is so f'ing good."

Halal Heaven's falafel is so delicious it makes you want to beat the sh!t outta someone. I can't even compare it to other falafels; they're in their own category.

Their combo platter is still the best in town. I truly crave this place, and they never, ever disappoint. Got damn!

Wow, I didn't realize that this unassuming little halal cart, just a little over a block away from my house, and that I've walked past so many times, was such an amazing diamond in the rough! I happened to read the wonderful reviews totally by accident while I was on Google Maps. Figured I'd take a walk down the street and give it a try. Definitely won't be the last time I take that walk! The reviews were spot on. I ordered the lamb Gyro with everything on it, including salad, chic peas white sauce and hot sauce, and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious and the portion was generous. For $8.00 ($7.00 + $1.00tip) I got a meal that was so tasty and filling! Plus, the guy who served me (he was a friend filling in for the guy who normally works there who had stepped away for a few minutes) was extremely nice and friendly. Highly recommend checking out this spot. -Aldo

      First to Review

When my wife and I were planning our move to Philadelphia, we were staying in a hotel, and looking for some dinner. Both of us were worn out, so delivery it is.

We picked Halal Heaven because we like a good halal meal, and it's very rarely bad. Well, somewhere there's a home run being hit, because this was amazing. We were moving to Philly from NYC, so we have some experience in halal platters, and this was dang near better than anything in New York City.

My wife loves the chicken plate, while I go for the lamb plate, and we're never disappointed. The chicken is lightly spiced, and the lamb is always tender. The white sauce is excellently done, and the only negative I can think about the rice is the occasional bit of cinnamon stick or fruit pit I find, and that's kind of a regular hazard to put up with.

In short: yes, this place is good, and you should order from there.
