So far so good! I have taken my girl to Happy Tails Resort three times now. They love her there and she always has a ton of fun! Took her to boarding and can't wait to go get her.

I am very torn here. We bought a package and have consistently brought our pups the past three months. The staff is extremely sweet and have great customer service. My pups are very spoiled there and are always tuckered out. The pups did end up getting kennel cough there but the staff handled it wonderfully and even offered to help with the vet bill. My only negative to say is that the past five times they have went, they both come back wreaking of urine. I did ask about it and was told that when they mop up the urine there is some still left on the floors that my dogs could possibly run through or roll in. As my dogs have been to many daycares, I have never seen them interested in rolling or going near pee or have I had this experience before. Aside from the stinky yellow stains on their paws, face and bellies, all in all they are very happy pups when they go but they do require baths every time they go which is a down side.

I would like to give this establishment 10 stars please. My GSD has been boarding at this facility for about a year now maybe a little less. Either way I love this place. Oh and my dog walks with a limp almost everyday at home, I baby him, give him treats and love on him more than normal...I'm thinking he is faking because when we get out of the car to go to boarding...his limp is all of the sudden gone. My dog doesn't even say bye or give me a kiss he goes straight to the back to play. The ladies who work here are 100% amazing, sweet, kind and I can't suggest this place enough.

Unlike other dog daycare places in Norfolk where daycare consists of your loved one being stuck in a cage and just going out for the occasional walk, Happy Tails Resort provides a wonderful and safe experience for your dog where they are neither caged or leashed and have access to both indoor and outdoor facilities.
I take Nefer here whenever I can for half days because I always get up late but if you can, I would recommend dropping your dog off early for the full day daycare service so you get the max value out of it.
You can drop your dog off after 7 am and pick them up before 7 pm. That's 12 hours for $25 bucks which results in $2 bucks per hour!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alura R.Alexandria, VA13287242Nov 20, 2017
The stars don't lie! This place is a godsend. I have two Shiba Inus who LOVE going to Happytails, when we turn the corner to get on the street they start whining out of excitement, that says a lot. I love them because they are so willing to help in any situation.
My husband and I missed our flight one time and wouldn't be able to pick up our pups, they were so accommodating and relieved my stress right away. They are pretty good about not making you wait too long on the phone as well, even though sometimes they can get busy, it's never a long wait.
They know my dogs names by heart and that means the world to me. Not to mention they usually post pictures on social media of the dogs and I just love that. I recommend this place 110%Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Lindsey T.Norfolk, VA11716456Sep 21, 2019
My girls have been going there for three weeks now and we are so happy so far. My girls come home tireddddddd and that's the goal. We have been paying very close attention to if they are excited, or uncomfortable in the morning when we go there (because if someone was being mean to my husky - she would make it known that she didn't like it there) but every morning we have 2, very excited babies!!! I wish they had live cams but hopefully one day.

We love Happy Tails! We never thought we would find a place where we would be comfortable leaving our super senior special needs dog and high energy crazy puppy. We tried another kennel prior to Happy Tails based on some recommendations and were really disappointed. Luckily I found Happy Tails on FB through one of their shared swim videos and thought we'd give them a try! So glad we did!
The front desk staff is so nice and after the first day of daycare, knew my dogs by name and what their special needs were. They are very accommodating and seem to almost always have availably for my last minute boarding (my husband is military and I travel to meet him often) The dogs get their own space when they board over night and I know they are well cared for!
Jana is so friendly and honest when I see her. She's always interacting with staff and clients in a positive friendly manner. I just love this place and will be sad to move in the spring!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James U.Charleston, SC01Jul 15, 2019

Very disappointed in our visit today. We've had our dog groomed regularly here and expected the same quality of service as we have previously recieved.
Our dog had an appointment to be groomed at 9:30am and we dropped her off at 9:15am. I had to call 3 times to find out if my precious angel was ready. The last time I called, I explained I had to go to work and needed to know when I could pick her up. They came back to the phone and said she was ready. At this point it was 1:30pm. 4 hours.
I was told the delay was because the groomer was late. However, I did not get a phone call explaining that it would take a considerable amount of time to have my dog left waiting to be groomed and did not receive an apology or any acknowledgement. We are very disappointed. :(Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Phoenix, AZ8238Jun 22, 2016
We cannot say enough about the staff and facility at Happy Tails. Our corgi has been going to doggie day care since he was 10 weeks old, and we credit the wonderful people of Happy Tails for his happy demeanor and socialization.
I travel frequently and love that they post pictures of the dogs on Facebook. Seeing our puppy happy and playing makes it much easier to leave him. I know he's in amazing hands.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
