Harney Oceanside

We love Harney! The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are large. Kids eat free on Mondays and the kids bento box is soooo cute and my kids love it (and actually eat it).

Definitely recommend! They have a DJ on Thursday nights and are usually pretty busy and fun. But the food is always on point

I have been going here for 6 years and never had a bad experience. Everything is fresh and worth the face that it costs more than your average roll.

As long as the bumble bee roll and the shrimp fried rice stays on the menu this will always be my favorite sushi spot.

We wanted sushi and the concierge recommended this one which was walking distance from Wyndham Oceanside Pier. There was wait to be seated but it wasn't long. We were seated at the high tables. There were tvs at the bar.

We ordered the kids bento for my son and it was a good size. The chicken was too dry for him. We asked for teriyaki sauce but it took a while to get it.
We ordered a few rolls to try. They were different than what we tried but they all tasted fresh and were amazing!

Service was ok. We had to call a server from a different area To ask for some things. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.

The service and atmosphere here is great! Very fun and modern. Great for a hang out session with friends or family.

The specialty rolls are very unique. This isn't just basic sushi rolls with a special sauce. They really know how to blend different flavors together to create delicious concoctions!

For appetizers I got the monkey brains and my wife ordered the pork and vegetable gyoza. Both dishes were fantastic! The monkey brains were basically mushrooms stuffed with spicy tuna. It had a crunchy tempura coating on the outside. It was terrific. My wife loved her gyoza.

For our entrees my wife had the orange crush roll and I had the sea spider. Both specialty rolls were unique and exploding with flavor!

We were with my brother and sister in law. They loved their entrees and apps as well. My brother thoroughly enjoyed his blackberry mule. He also ordered a vegan roll and was blown away by how good it tasted. And my two year old niece had the time of her life playing with the orchards that come with each entree.

If you're in Oceanside and you like sushi, this is a must visit restaurant!

Madison was our waitress and did a fantastic job, she recommended the sea spider roll, it was unbelievable. Garlic spicy edamame was fantastic. Best sushi and the atmosphere is very cool.

LOOOOVE this place. The food is amazing and they are gluten free and dairy free friendly. The food comes out quick also. The vibe is cool, nice art and spacious seating. We've come here many times and the only thing they could improve on is refilling beverages. We always have to get up and find someone to do it for us.

If you go for happy hour.. definitely worth it. However, just note that if you have an allergy.. make sure your waiter actually puts in the notes that it's an allergy. He didn't even seem to know what was going on.
Most of the rolls had tempura or "crunchies" and I asked him if it was gluten free to which his response was "I think so, it's tempura and fried.." and then I asked if one of the rolls was gluten free which he said yes, most of our rolls are.. and when the roll came out it was deep fried in tempura!!! When I questioned him, he said yes it's seaweed... and then finally another waitress heard and seemed her sister has Celiac's so she understood my concern and then said "we should probably check on that" ... and guess what - it wasn't gluten free!
Also we ordered another roll.. went 15 mins and no roll.. finally asked the manager what's going on and he said there was no roll rung up. I don't know what was going on with that waiter but hate to say it - I would NOT go back there specifically because I don't trust that the waiters will actually care about an allergy!

Also the ambiance for a Monday night at 5pm, was VERY dark. I would just add a little more light. Very clubby weekend vibes.

I think this is my 5th time here I forgot how noisy it is. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered sake and some sashimi. It's very happening and fun for Thursday night in Oceanside!
Warning do NOT order the black cod sushi. It was disgusting and inedible. Everything else was pretty good, but that was positively awful.:(. I did like the garlic edamame and the yellowtail so that kind of made up for it. Overall, it's a fun place to hang out in Oceanside.

Amazing vegan options!

I was blown away by both the selection and the flavor of the plant-based appetizers and rolls! I found the prices to be extremely reasonable, especially for vegan/specialty options!

My friend and I decided to dine at Harney Oceanside before spending the evening walking around the city and the beach. To start, we shared the vegetable tempura appetizer. My friend could not get over the fact that these were completely vegan and we devoured them in minutes! When it was time for rolls, I couldn't choose and ordered the Vegan "OG" AND Tofu Crunch. While I did enjoy the Tofu Crunch the Vegan "OG" was out of this world - beyond savory! The portions were definitely unexpected and I was basically able to take home an entire second meal! The servers were very friendly and the food was ready within a reasonable time frame.

Harney Oceanside is the perfect restaurant for a romantic date or night out with friends! If you are a vegan, I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out!

Amazing rolls. They're way better than any other sushi I've had in the area, this place is absolutely the real deal and incredible. Everything was incredible, the drinks are incredible and the staff is amazing. But more importantly the sushi was out of this amazing.
