Hui Kang Wellness

Had a long weekend at a convention and our feet were aching! We called a few foot spas and decided to try Hui Kang. At first, we had an early appointment and showed up extra early (we were in the area) and received a call from them stating they were running about 15-minutes behind, so we canceled. I appreciated the courtesy call to let us know because we had to check out of our hotel by 1 and if we had waited another 30-minutes, then had to wait another 15, we would have been cutting it too close to check out.

We went back to the hotel, grabbed our things and decided to try and see if they had any later appointments (we were trying to kill time before our flight.)

When we arrived, we were seated in the room directly toward the back and David and Eileen came to greet us. They were friendly and talkative. Guess it depends on what you prefer during your massages (some people like to relax in silence, some like to chat.)

The massages were excellent. They used some sort of thumb tool to really get around the balls of the foot. We only did 30-minutes but I could have sat there for another half hour because it felt fantastic. We left feeling like we had new feet! Haha!!

We'll definitely be visiting again during our annual Jersey trip!

I took my sister for the full body 1 hour massage for $50. It was wonderful. They walked on my back and stretched all my limbs thoroughly. I have had many massages but the addition of the stretching really made this one special. Highly recommend. I will add that while we paid for identical e services, my sister did not get any back walking and instead hat hot stones used. Potential for some inconsistency of service.

My back is unbelievably sore after my massage . The massage was $50 and I asked to charge me $10 more and the guy had a sign that he pointed to" Good , tip $15 . Excellent tip $20. I am so appalled by this behavior. A tip should be what you want to tip . It made me so uncomfortable! I never writ yelp reviews but after this , I felt compelled to do so!

When scheduling appt. Possibly the female owner is in a rush to take details and just wants to hang up, when you arrive the two massage therapists have no clue what you're there for, who you are and don't even look in the appt book. My massager puts pressure on bone not muscle, it's not relaxing, when you ask her it's too much pressure she then doesn't put any pressure. Ive had better massages within the same area, reflexology on feet was so soft that she's just putting lotion. Every where else puts enough oil and lotion on body she lets her hand dry out where your body hurts. One last thing spas are zen time, both massagers are chatting and on top she has guts to tell me how much I should tip.

I stayed the weekend out in Woodbridge for my friends birthday. I found this place on Yelp and loved the reviews. We did a walk in and seen immediately. We had 30 minute body massage and 30 minute reflexology. We have both been under a lot of stress and I left there so relaxed and at peace. My friend was very happy this was her first time getting a massage. The staff were kind and very attentive to us. I will visit again when I'm in the area, I live in New York. I went back to the hotel and took a 3 hour nap. Thank you so much.

I've been a customer for years and I will say that you won't get a better massage at the price point. However, after two bad experiences in a row I won't be returning. I made an appointment in April and they switched the time twice - after settling on a time, I went in. Halfway through the massage, the lady (who was doing excellent deep tissue work) tells me she has another appointment and they have a male come in. First of all, if you are going to switch from a female masseuse to a male halfway through an appointment, from a comfort level you should ask BEFORE the appointment if that's okay. The second half of the appointment was basically a gentle rub and I walked out feeling lopsided.

I chalked it up to a bad experience but I've been going there long enough that it wasn't a deal breaker. Today, I made an appointment for 3:30. They texted and asked if I could do 415 instead. I told them that didn't work for me so they said 345. At that point, I said the last time you switched times, you also switched people - do you actually have someone available at 345? And they told me yes, they did. I got there right on time, they sent me in the room and then I sat there waiting. At 355, a lady comes over asks if I had used her before and I said I didn't think so. Then she walked away. At 4, a guy comes over and I explain that I had an appointment for 345. He tells me that the lady isn't done yet. So basically after I specifically told them I could NOT do a 415 appointment, they baited and switched me on the times and expected to sit and wait for a half hour. If you can't do an appointment, no big deal. I'm totally ok with being told, you can't do an appointment. However, to make an appointment, assure the customer you have someone available, and then when they show up just leave them hanging is a stunning lack of respect for the customer's time. I wasted a half hour and gas money driving to an appointment and ended up walking out.

I had with Massage very good. Recommend David and Cici only $50hr with hot stone and cupping

Great massage, solid service, and up front pricing (they have a tip breakdown at the front to take the guesswork out). Wife and I got a couple message with Leo and Mae for an hour. Both of them managed are really talented and were able to find knots we didn't know we had. Even with the tip, the overall price and tip is well worth.

One thing we did try to call in advance to make a reservation, if the front desk isn't around to answer due to ongoing clients, the generic voicemail doesn't indicate that it's hui Kang. That being said we walked in in the afternoon on a sunday and were still able to grab a slot with the masseuses.

I love this place! I've been going here for a few years now & recommend it to anyone. Affordable, clean & very relaxing. Don't waste your time going anywhere else!

I had been a customer for a couple years. I always had problems being able to ask for certain therapists I preferred , they would ignore my request or when I got there for my appointment they would give me someone else without asking me and act like she didn't speak English. there also seemed to be a high turnover rate with therapists, I would like someone and next thing I knew they were no longer working there anymore. latest incident happened last week when I called and booked a specific time and day and with a specific therapist. called first thing in the morning and was told I was successfully booked. however when I called an hour before my appointment to let them know I was on my way, I was told they couldn't give me the therapist I asked for as they were already booked. no one told me that therapist was booked when I called and scheduled my appointment and although I was a good long standing customer I didn't even get an apology or explanation as to why she didn't call me to inform me earlier in the day of that was the case. no effort was made to rectify the issue - knowing I usually pay cash and always tip well, have brought other friends to them. and made her more money. truly unprofessional and now she has lost a few good customers between myself and my friends I've recommended prior to her.
