My family's house in Glendale was having issues with their air conditioner leaking. Thankfully I found Ice Age in Van Nuys to take care of the problem.

From beginning to end, their staff was very responsive, courteous, and helpful. They got the job done flawlessly. Now the air conditioner is running spick and spam just in time for the hot Cali summer. I highly recommend you choose Ice Age for your HVAC repair needs.

We were so happy to find that Greg had started his own company, Ice Age HVAC Repair. He was the only technician from our previous HVAC service company to figure out the issue with our rooftop Carrier HVAC system. It had been 5 years since we'd had it serviced, not wanting to tinker with whatever Greg had done, especially after we heard he left the company.

But when bubbles appeared on our living room ceiling, it was time to seek help. So we hunted Greg down. Greg scheduled a visit the same week (fortunately, the weather was cooler so we just kept the air off). He diagnosed our system and explained all it needed was a good cleaning. So he and his brother flushed the condensation line, cleaned evaporator and condensate coils (and checked freon, which was 'ok').

Greg did tell us that the most important thing for us to do is to change the filters every 3 months! They don't have to be expensive filters, i.e., Merv 8s are sufficient, they just need to be replaced regularly.

Beware!!!! Greg will rip you off. He charges 40 dollars for a simple 3 dollar filter and claims he has to drive to the store to buy it. He charges 80 dollars to install a locking cap at the condenser that someone can buy at Amazon for $13.00 He replaced a valve Core (same as you find on a car tire and charged $450.00 OMG!) $200 for a cleaning recommendation. Asked the company to charge unit with Freon since I live out of state and he took advantage of my friend for $1600.00 Does not deserve even 1 star.

Not sure what happened to this company. I used them to put in brand new units 3 years ago and was satisfied. Imagine my surprise when one intermittently stopped working. I called and asked for a tech. One wasn't available for a number of days, but I new and trusted the tech they were sending, and we were in a heat wave, so I understood. Another tech showed up (on a different day), had no idea why I had called, seemed confused, and told me I should set my thermostat lower. Confused myself, I thanked him, he left and I called the company back. They said my original tech would in fact be out, but he never came. Now that the unit is complexly not working, there is no answer on their line, a generic voicemail and no response. So, beware, past performance does not indicate present standards. Stay away.

Our AC broke down in the midst of the heat wave yesterday and we have been miserable since. We were debating which company to call but were at a loss and worried we would have to replace the whole system. This heat was simply unforgiving, it literally felt like we were melting away despite the many fans in the house. Then this afternoon, I spotted the Ice Age HVAC van parked a few houses away on our street but no one was in the car. So we left a note on the window on the driver's side requesting their service. It was starting to get late in the day so we thought for sure we would continue to melt in this unbearable heat. Low and behold, they called my husband on the phone and came to our rescue!! They diagnosed and fixed our AC within 30 minutes. They were so professional, experts in their craft and yet honest and kind!! They were truly God sent!! We are so grateful to them!! If you have any AC/heating issues -- do not hesitate to call these guys!! They are awesome!!

Installed a unit for my home after ours went out. Ordered a new one and put a new one in for a good price. Greg was great and the new system seems to be working well.

We wanted to put in all new ducting during our re-roofing job. My HVAC company was too busy to even come out and give us a bid. I asked for a recommendation and they gave us Ice Age HVAC. Arthur immediately came out, inspected, and gave us a great bid. He answered all our questions, their employees were wonderful, and they did the job on time and on budget. I've been dealing with condensation leaking issue for many years , Greg from Ice Age was able fix this issue that others were going to overcharge me with many excuses.
He is knowledgeable , honest , professional and friendly. Highly recommended .

I was at my friend's house in Van Nuys and the air conditioner stopped working. I searched on help for ac repair services in Van Nuys and found ice age HVAC. They came immediately to fix the problem. greg was very responsive and helpful. if you do need ac repairs I would check out ice age. You will thank me later.
