After reading a recent review of one of the therapists here, I felt I had to chime in with a similar experience. I too had a poor experience with Marita who I believe may be one of the owners of this facility or business. My average massage with her was made even more uncomfortable listening to her ridiculous and clueless political positions. She's a whack job and I won't be returning.

A massage is supposed to be relaxing and help take pain and anxiety away. The massage therapist Marita at the Eagle location was the opposite of that. She was very vocal about her woke political beliefs and made it very well known how she feels and would not stop talking about it and it was a very uncomfortable situation and not relaxing. She would not stop talking and giving her personal opinion and beliefs about everything even when not asked. It was not a good experience and I will never recommend her or go to the Eagle location that employs her. She was rude and a very uncomfortable, vocal person and not good at reading people's feelings only caring to pass on her opinion and beliefs uninvited and when you are paying for a service you are not asking for that you are just asking for the service to be done. Very disappointing session and will definitely be looking somewhere else to get a relaxing , fulfilling massage without all the political agenda being forced on me and very uncomfortable and unprofessional

I am a new client and just received a text from therapist one hour before my scheduled 90 massage canceling My appointment. Extremely unprofessional to do so mid afternoon one hour before.

Since moving to Meridian 7 months ago, been on the hunt for a regular therapist. I have been massaging for 13 years and, well, at this point I am selective about my therapist. I want a knowledgable, professional and personable therapist who can work out specific trouble areas and can still offer a relaxing session.
When I got here, I checked out a lot of places (online) for employment and to just get a feel for what the area offers in therapeutic massage. I will still check out more businesses, but for now, I found my therapist.
I booked a 90 minute deep tissue session with Taylor at the Eagle location. The intake process was painless and quick and we followed covid protocol. I can talk a lot during my sessions, but choose not to this time so I could really get a good sense of his technique, flow, pressure and quality. It was great. In fact, I knocked off a few times and had to fight it off. Hey, I'm not going to sleep through a great massage session.
I asked Taylor to give extra focus to areas being affected by my plantar fasciitis. He did and included a full-body. The pressure was spot-on. I booked a follow-up session in a couple of weeks.
One of the things I like about Idaho Massage is that it is run by/for massage therapists. The background information says therapists work here as independent contractors. They make more from each session in this scenario than working at Massage Envy, Elements or Massage Bay. I like knowing my therapist is being compensated fairly. The rooms appeared decorated individually (therapist decorated?), don't know, didn't inquire. I could hear some sounds from other rooms and doors, but nothing that affected my relaxation.
If you are a long-time massage person or looking to have your first session, I would recommend this business and location. I have not been to the Boise location, yet, so can't say anything about it.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Harmony C.Meridian, ID2794Mar 4, 2022

Stellar massage from everyone I've had work on me, which is most of the staff working there at this time in early 2021- you really can't go wrong with this place! Beautiful rooms, relaxing atmosphere, professional therapists all the way

I had a massage with Jamie 2 weeks ago and she did an awesome job. Especially, with my neck, shoulders and back which is where I asked her to concentrate on.
I scheduled another massage for tomorrow (before I left last time) and I'm looking forward to it.
I definitely recommend her. She is very nice and sweet.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jesika R.Salt Lake City, UT02Apr 30, 2021
Marita was amazing, full of knowledge and so intune with what pain i was experiencing. She is not afraid to get into whatever muscle she needs to get you feeling better. Thank you Marita for the experience

I can't believe there aren't more reviews, this place is the best!
I got a crazy good massage here from Suley at the Eagle location. It was one of the best massages I've ever received.
I was desperately in need of some deep tissue work in my lower back after a stressful week and a long plane flight. Thankfully, I was able to get a 75-minute massage last minute through the (very convenient) online reservation system. I appreciated having the option of putting my massage needs in the "notes" box so that the therapist had that info in advance.
I arrived early, and Suley was (very quietly) finishing up with another client in the small waiting area. I was able to recognize her immediately from her picture with her online bio.
I was nervous about going to a new place for the first time, but was immediately put at ease by Suley's very calm and caring, empathetic manner.
The room was clean and soothing. The music was just right.
Suley listened carefully to my needs, and acknowledged what I'd put in the notes in my reservation. She's quite strong, but quickly adjusted her pressure when I asked her to. I felt very comfortable. Her technique never felt "jarring" or rushed to me.
I did hear a little bit of talking at one point in the hallway, might've been other therapists as the headed into their break area across from the room we were in. So that broke the relaxation a bit, but not too much.
I was complete mush at the end, could barely form a sentence, I was so relaxed. So glad my husband picked me up - massages like this should come with warnings that say not to operate heavy machinery afterwards!! I could really feel later that a lot of toxins got released.
Back in the waiting area, she waited for me with a cup of water, and calmly and softly shared her observations about where she detected the most tightness, and described a couple of exercises I could do. She seemed quietly pleased (in a humble, not haughty way) to have been of so much help to me. What a great attitude, especially in a massage therapist.
I immediately signed up for the annual membership, and so did my husband. Can't wait to do the 120-minute next time - and more regularly.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katelyn U.North Redmond, Redmond, WA0472Jan 13, 2021
I found this place on a whim, after a long weekend of skiing and mountain biking. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical walking in but, boy let me tell you!! Karen gave me one of the best messages of my life!! From the heated table, to her gentle touch, I was in pure bliss for the entire 90 mins that that I was there. At one point, I asked for a cover for my eyes but she didn't have a clean towel, so she make shifted one from the face cradle. Great customer service! I was very impressed and highly recommend her!! Only complaint was the lobby noise of incoming guests!!
