We had an outstanding experience with Illinois Garage Door Repair from the first phone call to job completion. We needed two new garage door openers and got a recommendation from them about best brand. We got it and then were quoted a fair price. The installation was the next day and it was done with precision and focus by Stan. He took his time to do it right. He'a a real craftsman! We had lots of questions and he took time to address each one.
Stan's the man! We highly recommend this company.

Called to get a garage door opener replaced. They came out the same day. The technician was excellent. Friendly, knew his stuff. We have a custom installation with restriced space. He took the extra time to get everything installed properly, despite the tight space. Very pleased with the results. Price was also very fair, given the extra work needed.

Would use them again.

Save yourself time, this is a broker not a repair company.
They sub your work to a local company. do the research of the local company yourself and save time and money.

I reached out these these guys and agreed on an appointment time. After rearranging my afternoon and waiting for the tech, it was cancelled last time. We rescheduled for the following day at the same timeframe.

What they're not telling you is that they will sub-contract out their work to other companies. I was expecting "Illinois garage door repair" but instead got a tech from a random company. What I ended up getting was a quote for $250+ more than what was posted on their website for parts and labor. I even screenshot their prices on their website to and asking for clarification. Nothing..... They were good responding via text until that point.

Slimy practice form this business. Be transparent with your prices and be honest about sub-contracting out the work. Don't pigeon hole a consumer into a lose lose situation.

My garage door opener was not transmitting to the remotes and Despite YouTubing how to fix the issue I had no luck on my own. I chose them as they looked close and were rated well. Received service and they re-programmed the remotes in about 5 minutes. What earned a below average view is they charged by remote which $220 for a very short piece work.

A cable broke on my heavy wood 2 car garage door, so I needed both sides replaced. I then went to the Yelp reviews and picked a highly rated company. Additionally, Yelp sent out my need to other highly rated companies for price and availability quotes.

I chose Illinois Garage Door Repair, a family owned business in Northbrook based upon their high rating, competitive price, quick response, excellent communication and immediate availability.

Andy of Illinois Garage Door was friendly and very professional. He replaced the cables and balanced the spring tension on my door in a short period of time.

I hope that any further garage door repair is not needed any time soon, but if required, I would not hesitate to have Illinois Garage Door Repair do the job.

I have used this company 2 other times. This time they didn't show up. I texted them and I know they read my text, but they did not reply.
I called another company.

We needed our bottom weather strip replaced. The repair technician came on time and processed to replace the strip with weather stripping that we purchased. It looked good until he very end where he used a screwdriver to push it on the track. This caused huge rips in the weather strip. They were supposed to come out and repair it. The day of the repair they texted us that they could get the strip and canceled our repair. A refund is being issued for the work but not for the weather stripping we purchesd. It took 3 weeks for them to even schedule someone to comeout. It was a total disaster. Now I'm left scrambling to find another repair company.

Fantastic guys. I had one guy come and give me an estimate to do a repair of a very old door/motor. They came out the same day I called for a free estimate (I was very surprised to find out that some garage door companies charge even to come and give an estimate)! He was honest and upfront. He told me that while they can repair it, there were a lot of fundamental problems with this old setup (he was right!) and that the cost to get a new door was nearly the same.

The replacement cost was very fair and reasonable. He provided input and guidance that helped me select my replacement door. Very professional and kind - helped me move a heavy tv!

The gentleman who came out to the install was just as nice, professional and helpful. He installed the door and showed me how to use my new tech-savvy setup.

I truly can't say enough great things about this company. Fast, professional and reasonable.
