Delicious food. Imaginative ravioli. Perfect blend of flavors with a gentle hint of orange in the sauce. It was the special crab ravioli. The lasagna was very hearty but definitely not what you would get at Olive Garden. Much more refined in flavor. The seasoned olive oil they serve for dipping the bread has some high quality olive oil in it. They mix the added herbs here. Salad came with our meals. On a lark I ordered blue cheese. It was amazing. Delicate flavor with dense consistency. No mayo flavor apparent. They make their dressings here. The salad was fresh and crisp. Chilled perfectly. This place is more expensive than Carrabbas but the food here was perfection. The price was in line with Carrabbas. Atmosphere was kind, smooth and unrushed. We loved our experience. Yummy.

Thank you yelp! My husband and I were able to find this hidden gem!
How I rate a Restaurant:
1. Quality
2. Price
3. Menu
4. Atmosphere
This place gets 5 stars on all four categories.
Quality
You could taste the freshness! My husband and I had an amazing meal I had the chicken Marsala and he had the chicken Parmesan. They were both cooked to perfection. Chicken is usually over done and dry, but this was beyond perfect! I couldn't get enough. We got it with the fettuccine noodles that are made fresh and you can tell. There is a big difference between these and other noodles that I have had in the past. The quality is top notch.
Price: The portion size was more than acceptable and we cleaned our plates because we were hungry but we could have split it and had enough for lunch. Two meals for around $30 at a nice place is a great date night treat!
Atmosphere: it is the perfect romantic spot for a quiet dinner with your significant other. It's decorated with a unique look at feel. Makes you feel like going downtown without the hassle of trying to find parking. It has a nice mix of old charm with modern repurposed decor.
My only constructive feedback would be the bread didn't seem to be made there.... it was good but just didn't seem to have that.... made here look or taste, but I could be wrong.
We will be back many more times!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sydney S.New York, NY54461Feb 19, 2021
Very hospitable, clean environment during COVID. Delicious, fresh salads come with all entrees. Very friendly staff, and a great happy hour until 6:30pm with $4-$5 drinks. Their wine pours are also very generous. All around great experience!

We had heard and read several good reviews about Isabella's and were looking forward to dinner with friends there. While the receptionist asked if we had reservations, it was clear that they weren't needed, even on a Friday. We walked in at 6:00 and there was only one table occupied. The ambiance was nice and quiet, mostly because there was only 2 other tables with patrons duringthe two hours that we were there.
Two of our party had the blackened salmon, one trout picatta and I had the veal picatta. The salmon anf trout dishes were enjoyed, but my veal was tough and tasteless. We all had the roasted Brussels sprouts which were crispy but again not well seasoned. The dressings (blue cheese and Italian) that came with the salads were bland, tasting like something from the supermarket ailse.
All in all, not terrible but not worth the price. Certainly won't return.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Denise G.Midlothian, VA02Jan 9, 2021
What a wonderful taste treat. Isabella's is operated in a clean environment and the chef is fabulous. I had a ravioli that was stuffed with spinach and crabmeat and had a butternut squash sauce. What a delicious combination of tastes. Their owner is hands-on and his wine Selection is superb.

We made reservations but didn't need them as their is a TON of space but few patrons. The decor has a rustic, diy feel to it. They have a large 8 person table in the center of the room under a large mason jar light fixture with huge comfy chairs. We all commented that if we ever had a group that large it would be cool to take them here.
Our server, Virginia, was also the bartender but that didn't prevent her from providing us with quality service. She was polite and prompt.
The food was lackluster at best. The group split calamari and enjoyed it as there was a good mix of rings and tentacles. I had the Chef's Lasagna and was left wanting. The sauce had a good flavor but the consistency was too similar throughout the dish. It also had a layer of egg which was mentioned in the description but I thought it was like how I use egg to hold the cheese base together. Unfortunately it was literally like having a layer of fried egg. My husband had the Chicken Marsala with mushroom risotto and did not enjoy it. I was a bit bummed as so many reviews had been so positive.
I would give them another shot, every restaurant is entitled to an off night.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maria B.Avon, OH56167Apr 12, 2019
So I'm very Italian and highly critical. Kara, Kara - when a server makes a good 3 a solid 4! I wasn't impressed with the veal, however the chicken was much better. Not sure why it's a Salumeria, no charcuterie . Overall was a really pleasant experience, very good homemade pasta, good price points and atmosphere. Enjoyed and will come back

My friend found this restaurant on a google search. We had 8 people for dinner and they could take a reservation same day. The place is small but cozy. The decor is warm and rustic chic. It reminded me of a fan restaurant without leaving Midlothian.
Our server was attentive and very helpful with questions we had. We got bread and drinks right away. I would suggest that they either make their bread in house or buy from a local bakery. It tasted a little supermarket-ish. But that is the only change I would recommend.
All of our entrees came with salads and they were very tasty with a variety of lettuces. I had chicken piccata and my hubby had gnocchi. The chicken piccata was well seasoned, moist and delicious. The gnocchi was tender and the sauce was meaty.
Our bill did have one mistake - someone else's gnocchi was added to our bill. No problem. The three meals, 2 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine came to under 90$ - I felt the prices were very fair.
I would highly recommend this place. Everyone in our party said we would all come back again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 2, 2017
Stopped here for an early dinner, so glad we did! We were greeted as soon as we entered, and seated in this cute little place. Unbeknownst to us, it was wine Wednesday, so when we ordered two glasses, waitress suggested we get the bottle, instead. Our waitress seemed to disappear for quite a while, but the friendly bartender covered for her, so we are not without service.
We had the fillet medallion Marsala, blackened salmon over pasta with a rose sauce, and the gnocchi bolognese sauce. Everything was SPECTACULAR! The pastas and sauces tasted like they were made by someone's Italian grandmother - made with love. Pure comfort. We will be back, and probably for another early dinner, because we heard it gets quite crowded - as it should!
There is a cute little patio that wasn't open, if they open it, would make for a great al fresco dining.
Oh - and the music - great hipster cocktail music!
Call ahead for reservations, as the place is quite small...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
