Do they have parking?
A:
No parking. So come early to scout for a spot. Took us awhile to finally find a spot and it was 2 blocks away.

Yes for mocktails. You can get a free one with a Yelp check-in. This was true when I went back in Nov '23.

Intimate, romantic ambiance with cute booths. The lighting, furniture, and decor at the bar were especially stunning. The food was okay, but the pricing was a bit ridiculous for the portion size
The samplers were not worth the money. Most restaurants offer extra noodles for +$1, but they do not offer this. The tonkotsu ramen was fine.
However, I would recommend the Crazy Nana Roll: it has sushi on the bottom with teriyaki sauce drizzled on the plate and decorated with crispy pieces.
Overall, there are better restaurants in Queens like Nippon ChaHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Terri K.New York, NY31797Apr 8, 2024
Had a birthday dinner at the bar on Friday night since there was no table available without a reservation, but it was fun sitting in the beautiful bar. Both the appetizer sampler and sashimi sampler were delicious with good presentation, and all other dishes didn't disappoint us either. We ended up having several bottles of sake for the night, and the restaurant did have a good sake selection.
The bartender gave us a free green tea crepe cake for the birthday and it was so yummy!
It was such a fun experience and I am looking forward to visiting this spot again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Short review. Would potentially recommend the Impossible Unadon and Tuna Ikura Don even though both are overpriced. Kara-age is decent as well as the ankimo if you want something cheaper and if you don't mind Golden Curry, said egg curry is solid.
I went to Izakaya Nama with a group a while back as per most of my other reviews. This is fancier than most izakayas I've been to and the prices are partially from the aesthetic of both the inside and the dishes. We sat in one of their large private rooms and shared a bunch of dishes as per usual. They have a nice mix of sake as well as some mixed drinks and some other things. Servers were friendly and they brought out adequate sharing dishes.
We shared a bunch of food and overall I would say it was pricey but the quality was decent for some dishes but not for others (especially for the price) and overall the experience was pretty mid. Two of us shared a bottle of the Kurosawa Jumai Kimoto for $28.99 for a 300 ml bottle. This is one of my favorite sake and it was nice they have it to share and honestly for this quality for sake; the price is actually pretty reasonable.
From the appetizers, we soon got the Ankimo or Monkfish Liver for $13.99. This was one of the plainer dishes and it was honestly tastier than many of fancier nicer looking plates here. Sliced into 5 pieces, the portion was decent for the price. There was a slight fishiness but not too much and overall it was good quality.
Also from the smaller plates was the Kara-age for $11.99. It was pretty tasty and wasn't overly fried with the usual dipping sauce and lemon of course. Perfectly fine and would do well with one of their many drinks. The price was also pretty reasonable at least compared to many of the other things.
There was also the overpriced Hamachi Kama for $17.99. Nicely grilled but I've had much better in terms of butteriness and there were a lot of bones. It just wasn't worth it at that price point.
The last appetizer which was also worth it but nicer looking was the Smoked Salmon On Fire for $18.95. This is one of the more gimmicky dishes and consists of pieces of smoked salmon draped over chopsticks and hanging over well a fire underneath. The salmon was cool and it reminded me of alright quality lox outside of the bit of herbs on there. It's 5 or 6 pieces and makes bagels with lox seem like a bargain.
From the larger plates, my personal preference was probably the Impossible Unadon listed as a huge grilled eel rice bowl for $34.99. It came with a pretty large piece of unagi/grilled eel over a piece of tamagoyaki/egg omelette which was further over some rice and takuan/pickled daikon. There was perhaps a bit too much sweetness from the eel sauce especially combined with the egg and the sweet pickled vegetable below but it's hard to argue with the portion even if it's definitely smaller looking than the photo. The eel was cooked properly as well.
There was also the Toro Ikura Don for $42.99 consisting of fatty tuna and salmon roe along with some takuan again as well as wasabi, rice, and pickled ginger. The sushi quality was very good (especially the ikura with the tuna being pretty buttery also) though it better be at that price point as this essentially rivals some fancy sushi restaurants. I would probably recommend this as well.
Pretty good was the Tornado Omelet Fried Rice or Japanese style pork cutlet rice bowl for $20.99. The curry sauce was essentially identical to the cheapo Golden Curry found in Japanese grocery stores and I would not be surprised if was either using it as a partial base or based on it. Outside of that, the egg was creamy and fluffy and there was some decently cooked fried pork/tonkatsu.
Not good in terms of what it was trying to be was the Mentaiko Cream Udon for $16.99. The udon itself were fine with the mushrooms being a nice addition but there was way too much cream and way too little spicy cod roe/mentaiko. The cream overpowered it and it barely had any kick or fishy flavor. There are plenty of restaurants with much better versions of this dish even though the price was decent. I would almost just remove the mentaiko, add more mushrooms for the price, and name it Kinoko Cream Udon or something.
This is a restaurant that kind of cares more about style than substance. Sure the photos are going to look nice but the food here just isn't worth it for the price point. I understand partially as it looks pretty but there's other pretty Japanese restaurants with similar portions for prices which are very good in even Manhattan like Sakagura and plenty of cheaper spots with much tastier food. 3.2 at maxHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2Business owner information

I kept passing by this week and never gotten the opportunity to visit until a few week ago to get brunch with my friend. The place is really cute with nice decor and ambiance - it feels like you are in anime haha. The service here is really nice with friendly workers. Our food came out a little later we placed the order. Everything that we got was good, but I really enjoyed their truffle fries. It was just really good with a nice crunch. Their katsu curry was good as well!! For two people, we did order a lot of dishes so both of us took some food back home! :)

Hi Hope,
Thanks for leaving us a review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed your time and appreciate the feedback. Hope you get to stop by again soon :) - Apr 4, 2024
I liked it! I was a little nervous after many reviews saying it was gimmicky but glad I came anyway. I made a reservation for noon on a random Wednesday. We were the only ones there so reservations are definitely not needed if coming in early on a weekday. Metered parking was easily found one block over.
I came here with my husband and we ordered the yakitori platter, bun nana, spicy miso ramen, and the A5 wagyu golden fried rice.
- Yakitori Platter: This comes with 7 sticks (pork belly, chicken thigh with leek, zucchini, chicken wings, beef skirt, king mushroom, and chicken tender). Note that it is not a sample of all the yakitori that is offered on the menu, but just about half.
- Bun Nana: A bit too much sauce which overwhelmed it. It was still good though. The pork belly could've been more succulent.
- Spicy Miso Ramen: I really enjoyed this one especially with the arugula. To me though, it did not remind me of the typical Japanese ramen. It seemed more Chinese Szechuan to me.
- A5 Wagyu Golden Fried Rice: This was very tasty. The beef was a touch on the saltier side. I did think it was too oily however. The spoon literally dripped oil on the table after I took a bite.
Overall the food is good and I'm certainly happy I came here. Another restaurant off my list! I probably would not return though given the options available in Flushing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I came to this restaurant with very low expectations due to friends giving me their reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to how much I enjoyed it here. Not sure what the low scoring is from. Perhaps it is because we didn't order sushi items? The mystery continues
The ambience of the place is pretty cool and resembles their social media videos. Each room has a different theme. We got the room with cartoon like decor.
Service was friendly and attentive. We never had to wait for very long to get anyone's attention.
We came as a family of 8 with visitors from LA who saw a TikTok of this establishment and suggested to dine here. I called about 2 and a half hours prior to make the ressie and we were accommodated on a Sunday night. We ordered a hodge hodge of different items on the menu and everyone including myself seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. I must say though, it is quite pricy so be prepared to spend.
8/10 would recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
