Jerry's Paint & Hardware

This store has everything you need and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Whether it's filling a propane tank, replacing a window screen, finding a plumbing part or strategizing what type of tool I might need for a project they have it all AND they know how to use it. There are floor staff everywhere to answer questions.

In response to the previous review about chatty cashiers -- this isn't a chain store. It's a local place with lifetime customers including other businesses, contractors, homeowners and vacationers, too. It's a community business where we can take a moment to acknowledge each other with a "hello how are you." If the reviewer was that put out they could have easily said something to the (always present) owner rather than complain about it here. The friendly cashiers are long female time employees who will not only ring up your purchase but are very knowledgable about the products sold and where to find them.

Very impressed with customer service from employee Charles. Needed some help with changing out some washer snd screws combination hardware that came with an online ordered caddy thst just was not going together well. No matter how I tried the screws were too short to fit into adjacent housing. Charles was helpful, was respectful and made keen inquiries to assess best fix. I appreciated his cordial and gracious manner. Thank you for great customer service Charles! (I was visiting from California).

Amazing service! Called around 11 AM to get some stuff out to Block Island, after some minor back and forth for them to check stock, I ordered my items a bit later in the day. I was not very optimistic when I went to the ferry dock at 5:30 to see if they had arrived--they were there, exactly what we needed to solve a couple of problems. Impressive inventory, amazing service.

This is how I remember hardware stores, its very old school here, I am pretty sure you could repair the International space station with what you'd find in the inventory. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful, prices are reasonable. If your tired of Lowes or Home Depot treating you like cattle, this is a real alternative.

I could sit here and tell you about their selection of tools, supplies and hardware but over all their customer service is why I continue to buy my supplies at Jerry's. It doesn't happen on accident, you can tell it's part of their culture. Thank you Jerry's Staff!!!

Cashiers are exceptionally slow There was a line of about 8 people and the cashier was discussing Afghanistan with her customer, then she stated on the next customers vacation destination. Friendliness is great but when customers are waiting it is not appropriate,

Jerry's Paint and Hardware has almost everything that you might need for home repairs and maintenance. You can get keys made, pick up HVAC filters, purchase key rings, plumbing supplies, stuff for your car, Christmas lights, shovels, drills, bits, and almost everything that you need for your toolbox. If the store doesn't have what you need in stock, the item will be ordered. The people who work in the store are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I would rather stay south of the Tower, and Jerry's Paint and Hardware makes that possible. With a larger space now on Point Judith Road, Jerry's is even better than it was before. Why would I visit a big box store when i can whatever I need at a local hardware store like Jerry's?

Two thumbs up! Renting a beach house nearby, spouse accidentally walked through a sliding screen door, destroying screen. Left door for repair at Jerry's. Two day turnaround, less than $30 bill, and once home realized wheels and springs (which had shown some corrosion from salt air) had been oiled. Big box hardware stores are ok for some things but give these folks your business whenever you can, else old-fashioned service like this will be gone forever (just like Damon's).

This place has a friendly staff who is always willing to help you when you enter their store, be it a question about hardware or just a recommendation on a local craftsman or contractor. We've gotten many home-repair questions answered and never gotten a bad recommendation from the staff at Jerry's in over 25 years of being a customer. No matter how busy they are, the in-store and cash register staff remain calm and friendly--always. That's not easy!

Everyone at jerrys is so helpful. This is a great hardware store and they really do have everything! Unbelievably knowledgeable staff. Have now purchased a bunch of things for my house at Jerrys and they are all working out perfectly.
