Jersey Physical Therapy was founded in 2002 in Kendall Park by South Brunswick natives Marc Rubenstein and Geoffrey Hunt. Their desire was to provide members of South Brunswick and surrounding communities with a local physical therapy clinic where everyone was treated like a family member. No longer would people have to drive to New Brunswick or Princeton to receive their physical therapy services. Due to their local roots, involvement in the community and increasing referral base, Jersey Physical Therapy needed to expand their practice and space. In 2005, JPT had a Grand Re-Opening, when they moved upstairs to the second floor at 3228 Route 27 in Kendall Park. Sean Moore joined the practice as a partner in 2006 and a new office was opened in the Milltown/East Brunswick area. Both practices deliver the highest quality in physical therapy services with a focus on evidence-based practice, one-on-one manual therapy and excellent results/outcomes.

I have needed this team on more than one occasion after surgery for a comminuted fracture of my shoulder, after surgery for breast cancer, and for subsequent generalized chronic back/neck pain. I feel very thankful to know they are there to get me back on my feet whenever needed (hopefully not anytime soon again though). Clean facility and everyone is professional and friendly. Great resource for anyone that needs to get back on their feet again!

Kim- thank you for taking the time to write a recommendation for Jersey PT. I am so glad to hear you had a good experience. We are also so glad that you are doing beating cancer as well as your other issues!
Jun 30, 2014Previous reviewI went for PT for neck pain from bulging discs and was very happy with the experience. When I met with my therapist Avani, I thought she would be overwhelmed with my history as I came in after recently finishing treatment for breast cancer. I had already gone for PT elsewhere for shoulder issues after my bilateral mastectomy and I also had a script from my doctor to address my chronic lower back pain. So I felt like a total mess going in! But systematically one by one, Avani addressed all my concerns in time and always did a great job relieving my pain. The entire staff was always attentive and friendly. And I never felt rushed when doing my exercises. I could tell everyone there really just cared about me getting well again. I know it's only a matter of time before something breaks again and I'm back there, but so far they have helped me so much that I have been able to join a gym and be active again.

I really loved coming to JPT - I had really bad shoulder/upper back/neck issues from sitting at the computer all day. I saw both Avani and Mike, who were incredibly helpful and knowledgable. I had to go back in several spurts over the course of 1.5 years, as my issues would pop back up, and they always remembered me. Coming to JPT was also very pleasant because the staff and the environment was so friendly and comfortable. I'm sad that I moved because if I need PT again, I would definitely go back!

I was a patient at JPT for 6 months and the environment is amazing. From the moment you walk in the door, until the time you leave, everyone is friendly and willing to help in anyway possible. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable about every injury you could have, and they find the best exercises to help you achieve your personal goals. The aides are always willing to help and show you exactly what you need to do. There were many times I wanted to quit or I was in pain before my session, but everyone was so encouraging and helped every step of the way. The therapists send communications to doctors in a timely manner, which helps the whole healing process. Thanks JPT staff!

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My condition improved greatly under their care, and gave me the confidence to start exercising on my own. Unlike another reviewer, I loved the easy going and social atmosphere with the therapists, aides, and other patrons. I didn't focus on my injury so much and felt better in body and "soul" after each session. I will definitely go back if I ever need therapy again.

Frist time ever having physical therapy in March- mid April, therapist was great so was the workers very friendly. The front desk told me to hold my last 4 visits in case I would need them before the end of the year and I did. Wanted to use them now but was told I needed to visit my Dr again, and pay for a visit to get a form stating it was ok, if I had any idea of this I would have use the 4 visits up and wait until the new year started, so if anyone like me who never had physical therapy before BEWARE of this when you are on medicare and have Insur. that will only cover so much. Not Happy with Jersey Physical Therapy for not giving all the information.

I went to JPT in South Brunswick for a few months for a shoulder problem, saw Sheena and Avi. All the staff (PTs, aids, reception) are attentive, caring and knowledgable. I have observed them work well with a wide diversity of patients with varied needs. Highly recommend.

The therapist was fine. knowledgeable. The problem starts when they send you to the aides who actually do the therapy. they are more interested in standing around talking to each other about their social lives than helping the patients. After each exercise, it would take 5 minutes to get their attention to go on top the next one

I went to JPT on referral from my physiatrist. Great reference! I had two rotator cuff problems and herniated disks. JPT provided great physical therapy and I felt better right away. The physical therapists were excellent and the aides did a very good job. I never had to wait inbetween exercises to get the next set. The aides were very attentive and checked me as I was doing the exercises to make sure I was doing them correctly. The facility was very clean and had every type of exercise equipment imaginable. I have been to other PT facilities and they are not anywhere as good as JPT.
At the end of my treatments I felt almost as good as new and I am now able to do all the things I couldn't do before (with caution). I faithfully do the exercises they gave me to do at home and I have had no more problems.
I agree that they should give you detailed billings as you go along but since they make you pay the copays each time, there are no surprises.
I highly recommend JPT and thanks to the entire staff!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Matt, thank you for your feedback. Since every insurance plan is different, part of our office policy is to verify the plan and let the patients know in advance what their responsibility will be. We also suggest to patients to verify their own benefits to get more information.
