I contacted Jim's when I couldn't get my long time regular appliance service to service our Kitchen Aid refrigerator for several weeks. Jim's scheduled Bill to come out within a couple of days. A window for the service was set and Bill called that day to let us know a more precise time he would arrive. He diagnosed the problem (freezer needed a new gasket), ordered it right then and came back within a week to install the new gasket. He explained that it would take a few weeks for the ice that had accumulated to dissipate but to call him him if there were any more problems. The ice evaporated as he said. He was very friendly and professional. And, we are more than pleased with the speed in which our problem was handled. I will definitely seek Jim's Appliance Repair Services again in the future. Thank you Bill and Jim's!!!

If I could give them less than one star, I would. Had a problem with my fridge, they came out to fix it and said the door gasket was not sealing properly and would call the manufacturer to get the parts and call me back to schedule installation. Did not hear from them for several weeks, called several times to speak with repair person and finally got a call back from someone else saying that the repair work was done and I misunderstood that parts needed to be replaced. They tried to gaslight me telling me I did not hear or see what the repair guy told me. They refused to have the repair guy call me back directly. When I told them that was unacceptable, they hung up on me. Complete BS!

I cannot believe I was duped by a repair service. I was unable to make contact with the repair service I usually use, due to the CoVid19 shut down. This company was the only company returning phone calls. The dryer and dishwasher broke. I specifically told Joe the scheduler what was happening with our dishwasher - the error code, what it meant, and the attempt to fix it on my own. Bill the repair guy shows up and does nothing different than I did, and proceeds to tell me the cost to repair was greater than replace - for the fee of $135. Then, Bill goes and looks at the dryer, he returns and says our dryer is an extraordinary dryer and requires a special belt that he doesn't carry. Dude - it's a whirlpool; we bought it at Home Depot. Not extraordinary. $200 later, nothing fixed. Total rip off!

Can I give this company is 0 review.. This was the only company that was available to do a repair on my range hood. This was suggested by the manufacturer. The technician Ralph was so rude, smelling of smoking. He charged $134 just for diagnostics. And his labor is doubke if I buy the replacement part. He add $100 to the replacement part as a commission if he orders the parts. On top of that, the labor is priced per 15 minutes and if he goes over by one minute over the 15 minutes period, that's counted as 30 minutes. Company is a rip off and all customer service reps are rude. Find a handyman to do the job.

Here we go again. Like the other reviewer, the customer finds out about the charge structure after the tech arrives. Even though I asked explicitly what to expect, the guy answering the phone stated $96 which would cover the installation of a part I supplied. Then comes the rub. $96 just to show up and THEN $38 for each 15 minutes spent fixing the problem. So for 16 minutes, the charge came to $72 + $96. Don't get ripped off by this place. You can probably do better elsewhere.

I called to have our insinkerator "disposal" worked repaired and was surprised when I learned they had charged us $130.00 to visit our home and didn't fix the problem. They had no problem collecting payment for a service they did not provide. We had a friend over after they left who is far from a technician and more of a "weekend warrior" electrician. He took a look at the disposal and in less than 10 minutes was able to simply connect a wire that had come out of the unit which was the problem. What really bothers me the most is the attitude of the owner when I called to explain my lack of satisfaction for his companies work and to simply inquire what happened. He was rude, spoke over me and was agitated that I was following up on his employee. Bottom line with this company is that they don't get the job done, zero customer service and I would say one of the most unprofessional companies I have dealt with to date. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I thought I'd try a repair business in the the community. I called and scheduled for an oven repair with the owner Jim. I was not informed at the time that there would be an $119.00 fee for someone to come to my home. The repair tech was professional and diagnosed the problem right away. He then requested the fee which I was unaware of. I paid the fee because he did provide a service. I then called the owner and inquired why I was not informed about the fee upfront so I could make a n informed decision regarding using his company or another. He then went on an unprofessional rampage regarding " No one makes house calls for free and continued to berate me about calling him. I hung up on him and would recommend that he gets some customer service training. I can't believe he's been in business for this long. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I did get my oven repaired but with another company who did not charge an upfront fee.
