I just had the most delicious farmhouse cake and very nice cup of coffee. I found this place by accident when I was trying to find my way out from town but had to have a look. And it was really worth of visiting this lovely, quirky, funny, lively, strangely beautiful little restaurant. Staff is funny, helpful and in a very positive way crazy. Atmosphere is like no other place. Nice patio or what do you call those tables outside in the sun. I have to admit that I am very pleased and excited to find Joseph Street Kitchen.
Next time I will bring my family, friends and a couple of strangers here, too.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Naomi T.Palmerston North, New Zealand44911Jun 25, 2016Updated review
Went here for lunch today. Still has yummy salads - cauliflower, lettuce, hummus, feta, carrot, beetroot and more deliciousness. I recommend the lamb or chicken salad. The rest of the food is ok, but my husband was a bit disappointed with his lasagne - it was vegetarian, but didn't say that on the menu. Good service and nice relaxed atmosphere.

Not in a neighbourhood that you would expect to find a cafe, it is surrounded by an industrial area, but somehow that adds to the charm. They do THE BEST salads- I had the lamb salad and it included feta, cauliflower, beetroot, hummus and almonds to name a few ingredients. Can be quite busy for lunch and parking can be an issue. Highly recommend, am looking for an excuse to go back!
