What a great menu!
This restaurant is a little bit hidden. You have to go to an alley and down downstairs. So it's a nice and quiet atmosthe. Butternut squash soup was fantastic and so was the beat salad.
FYI the service was very very slow, Which we really appreciated because we were meeting Friends whom we hadn't seen in some time. And we sat at the table for 2.5 hours ( It wasn't crowded). If you are time Crunched beware Or let your server know ahead of time so that she brings you your check promptly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Albert D.Albuquerque, NM51442Feb 24, 2024
Meal was atrocious. Mushroom Tart was room temp served with un-dressed frisée and grated carrots. Cheap Maitake cooked with low heat caused the mushrooms to come out a dull gray color which also contributed to its dull bland taste (Ionly ate 2 bites). Croque Madame was fine, but the frisée and carrots were only for looks. The beignets were served in a Chinese to-go container which was a little confusing to find. Over-use of orange napkins kinda killed the vibe as well.
It could have been executed very well especially for a not-so busy Friday night. Location was great, ambiance was great, but the food lacked so much that nothing else mattered.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 341143332Nov 9, 2023
The last time I came here was probably 10 years ago but their pastries are still the star of the show.
We wanted to find a dog friendly place for dinner in late October and Kafe Leopold delivered. They had outdoor patio seating with heat lamps and blankets.
The food was standard. Service was great. We were seated right away on a Saturday night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 7, 2024
One of my favorite cafes in Georgetown! Tucked away in Cady's Alley away from all the madness, you feel transported to a quaint European town. Typically you don't need a reservation, but if you plan on going during the weekend I'd recommend doing so. The menu is mainly European fare with delicious pastries, salads and schnitzels. I love how quiet it is and the service is always great. You could spend hours here and not look at the time, which is why I always enjoy my time here.

The ambiance is as European as you can get - was in awe of the beautiful outdoor seating in a quaint little alley with a fountain in the middle! Phenomenal desserts - the cream puffs are huge and stuffed with a generous amount of ice cream - you will walk alway full to the brim.

Who would've thought in a back alley in Georgetown, you would find an Austrian restaurant that served German/Austrian fusion dishes at reasonable prices? I had the schnitzel dish with arugula salad and I substituted fingerling potatoes for the potato salad. The arugula salad served on top of the schnitzel was overpowering and bitter, but when paired with a bite of the schnitzel, evened out the grease flavor from the fried entrée. The fingerling potatoes were perfectly cooked. Probably the best I've ever had in my life. I would go back and eat at this joint on any day of the week and twice on Sunday just for the fingerling potatoes again.

A group of 5 of us sat outside. There were a few uninvited guests- Mosquitos! Round tables hard to put together - we had a big one and a small one for our party of 5. Uncomfortable chairs outside.
Airplanes were loud.
The Elderflower martini was delicious! My friend got the Spiced Negroni and enjoyed it.
I got the Branzino and would get it again. The schnitzel was popular and enjoyed by others. Loved the French fries.
We ordered 7 desserts to split between 6 of us. Highly recommend the desserts. The lemon tart was my favorite.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Teresa B.Massapequa Park, NY0134Apr 21, 2024
Delicious food, the waiter was so friendly and the weather was so great so the doors were open which gave the place a great vibe. Plan on coming back!

Really enjoyed brunch here! Especially if you can sit outside it's really nice. Our server was good, but you can tell they were busy and felt like he was the only one working outside.
I ordered the ham and cheese croissant and woah. With the bachemel sauce...wow. If you don't know what that is, just trust me when I say this white creamy sauce will elevate your meal. So delicious!!! The salad was weak; I'd appreciate some light dressing or vinaigrette to add some flavor. My friends and I shared the berry French toast which was very good! Who doesn't like to end with something sweet. Baked nicely, berry compote added more dimension and thankfully our server brought us some whip cream - should come with it already honestly.
Overall, everyone was happy with their meal! Cute little hidden spot in the alleys. Check it out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 28, 2023
A friend picked this out for brunch cute kafe with orange decor highlights, outdoor seating options w umbrellas, we chose indoor on the orange swirl couch thing w AC on a hot day.
Staff were unusually good looking for some reason, and really nice- explaining their fave desserts & dishes patiently.
Prices are really reasonable for the freshness & quality.
Breakfast spaetzle was a unique yummy breakfast- not too heavy. Iced tea & coffee melange was fantastic, as were desserts- there's way too many beauty desserts here- one has to return & try more.
Totally charmed had a lovely brunch.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
